So I need a tiny fiat for tonight then? What's the specs for each car to have them close?
Tuning won’t be allowed and we’ll start with the cars at 100 on the hp and weight scales, which means the Fiat should have 16hp I believe. If that feels too slow we can always up the power but I played C&M last night with the Fiats and they were pretty good mice.

If C&M ever happens, count me out. That does not look fun at all.
I'm guessing it's an extension of when I was pushing you up the straight. Only with another attack Raptor as well.

Although it wouldn't have worked. I hit @Sparkz_360's FIAT 500 with a speed differential of about 70mph, and it stopped my Raptor dead. I then tried sideswiping him and it was like trying to batter a cooling tower with a feather made of bubblebath. Quite how the Raptor, at over FIVE times the weight of the FIAT, can have so little effect on it escapes me.

After my summer break I thought I'd got for something with a bit of oomph; so, here we are with GT3 Vs GT4. It works like this...

You pick any manufacturer you like, and you use their GT3 in one race and GT4 in the other. (Grid positions and category allocations will be by the 'last two digits of your lap time' method.)

Tuning is not allowed, but cars can be maxed out using 'level up'. GT4s will have around 490BHP and weigh just under 1000kg, whilst GT3s have around 690BHP and weigh just over 1000kg.

Tyres will be R/H, with degradation set at No2 for them and fuel.

The circuit is Dragon Trail Gardens. The races will be 17 laps long. The grid settings will have the GT4s at the front, and they will set off as soon as the race starts. The GT3 drivers will wait until 40 seconds into the race, and will then set off after the GT4s.

This timing differential gives the advantage to the GT3 cars. However, they are considerably more difficult than the GT4s to get the best lap time from; they will have to be driven hard, but with care, to close that gap.

The second race will have a reverse grid from the 1st race result, but messed about with to keep the GT4s at the front. (All will be clear on the night, honest.)

No boost, no damage, just short-cut penalties.

DON'T FORGET, YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE MANUFACTURER'S CARS.

From a bit of testing Venari and I did yesterday, I can say that the Alfa has a nice balance for both GT4 and GT3, the Mustang is a little off the pace for both, the Citroen GT is quick in GT4, but rather tricky once upgraded to GT3, and the Fezza struggles to get all that grunt down cleanly too.

Cheers, Zo.

Wow, boy does this sound like fun. Unfortunately I’m in Spain as we speak, won’t be back till Friday.

See you all on the 31st.

I might not make it tonight. I have to pick the wife up at a station (which exact one is to be confirmed) and at a time (to be confirmed.)

If I can't make the first race, hopefully I'll make the 2nd one.

Although not obligatory for the thing I'm thinking about for next month*, police-type liveries on the M4 Safety car would be decent for post-race photography reasons. Also it would be a good opportunity to try the Carling qualification method :D

*I'm calling it "BOPS and Rozzers", unless I think of something funnier

I've got a blue and white Panda too.

I shall be using Mazdas tonight as, I suspect, will @daan - I've reliveried my Gr.4 car just for the occasion...

Hope you're all Refreshed and Raring to go?

I am indeed Paul. Unfortunately though, the wife has gone and broken her ankle today. Not only that, but she's smashed a hand that might have come in useful for the crutches. We've just got back from hospital, we haven't eaten, and she's in screaming pain. All in all, I'm a 'very doubtful' for tonight.

I'd love to join some time after 9 if I can get her comfy and some of RR are online...

Oh dear! Sounds like you might be in for a disturbed night (and a few days!!).

A wheel chair might prove to be more handy than a GT3 or 4 at the moment.

Hope everything goes along alright. As well as can be expected anyway.

Are you in charge of the dog walking now?

Thought I'd give the McLarens a go as they're not really competitive under BOP, but may well be here.

Sorry I couldn’t make it tonight. Work was busy.

Zo!! Im really sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she gets some strong painkillers in her and gets some rest. Hope she gets better soon but it takes minimum 6 weeks for any bone to heal properly.
I should know as fractured my left 5th metatarsal 4 weeks ago! (Long bone on the outside of my foot). It’s still tender and only just starting to feel like it’s not still moving about!!

All the best

These were my cars for the night - the Renown Gr.3 isn't my livery (which is why it's not quite right), but the IMSA RX-7 Gr.4 is. Although it's missing a logo I can't identify and really should have a side-exit exhaust

I am, and the wife's amazed I can do it. How hard does she think dog walking is? It's not exactly a superpower.

She's not getting that long Suts. I'll give her until the end of the week, and if she's not back on the job she's for the chop :)

Did you do your kicking the wife? It is a bit of a regular occurrence here up north.

Does the use of the word 'were' indicate that the GT4 Vs GT3 thing didn't get off the ground?

Cheers, Zo.
