No, we five raced, had many fun and those were the two cars I used. Someone else's Renown 787B livery on the Gr.3, my own IMSA GTO RX-7 on the Gr.4.

In the other race, my GT3 caught @AndreasR GT4 on the 17th, and last, lap. His GT3 caught us on lap 9...

We'll have to revisit the GT3/4 thing another time chaps, but I don't want to impose it two weeks in a row.

So, here's my thought for Tuesday 31st July; Mazda Roadster(always a favourite) at 'The New Track', wherever that is, following the update we're expecting on the morning of 30th.

C/S tyres (possibly S/H if C/S are too slippy), stock BHP and weight, with a series of short races which feature weight penalties/bonuses for those who are too quick, or just rubbish.

1X fuel and tyres degradation shortcut penalties, real slipstream and track grip, new fastest first grid after each set of weight changes. Dead simple.

Well, I've had a spin at St Croix, (the patron Saint of Crutches, so I believe) and I think that merriment is a possibility there. However, in order to get the Roadster to perform in its wide open expanses, I think that 125% power is in order, as are S/H tyres.

It isn't a short circuit (we'll be using the 1st one) but it is reasonably easy to get to grips with. We'll have 8:30-9:00 as a familiarisation/qualifying session.

Although not obligatory for the thing I'm thinking about for next month*, police-type liveries on the M4 Safety car would be decent for post-race photography reasons. Also it would be a good opportunity to try the Carling qualification method

Up for this. I remember the last time we raced the M4 Safety car, well when I say 'we' I mean the RR sister club
from back in the GT6 days, the Zero Cup. Half the grid were Reuniterers and @Sparkz_360 finished runner-up
by one tenth. Had the fastest lap though, Sparkz did.

I nearly died laughing in the third race (I think it was the third) when @Sutsagrd got the slow left after the bridge wrong, scraped the wall and ghosted until just a fraction of a second before @daan arrived on the scene unsighted. All I saw was @daan's MX-5 just swap ends instantaneously. There was no spin, it was just pointing one way and then the completely opposite way.



So at the moment, the BOPs and Rozzers event looks like you'll need a car that can do a 1'25.000 at best around Tokyo Expressway Central Outer Loop (that's the roundish square version, going clockwise; 2.74mi).

How you get there doesn't bother me. Use whatever car you want, and whatever power or tyre requirements you want - for quick reference, my stock Atenza Gr.4 on RH does a mid-1'22 for me, so a Gr.4 with weight, power restriction and/or sports tyres will probably do it - but your car must not be capable of beating 1'25.000 with you driving it. There will be points fines on the night(s*) for any driver with a race lap better than 1'25.000, every lap they achieve it... Garish, Fast and Furious liveries are encouraged.

Meanwhile your M4 Safety Car will need to be at minimum weight, which will cost 686Mi points, and will use Racing Super Soft tyres. There may be other tweaks to this - I think power might go up to about 120%, but I haven't zoned it in just yet. 113% is the maximum at Level 1, so keep some Mi points safe!


*We'll need two nights, by the looks of it. Spoiler alert: everyone will drive the Safety Car once and once only, and they will be the only Safety Car in that race; you can probably see where this is going.

I just had time to think, "don't unghost, don't unghost, D'oh!"

The hit and the stop would have been acceptable, but it was the hit, the stop and the spinning me round (right round like a record baby) that took GTS' trolling to a whole new level.

Tokyo Expressway Central Outer Loop

This track sucks compared to the East track, but the East track is so unbalanced because of the straights that we'll all have the same solution

I really want to do it at the shortest Rizla track, but it's so new that we probably haven't all learned enough of it yet and we'll get stupidly faster throughout.

I see no problem with new tracks and getting faster, if we've benchmarked at TECO. I hated the track before as I could never stay off the walls enough to learn it properly. Now I can actually drive it.

I have been trying this evening to go by daan's Inkscape tutorial (from his signature) step-by-step, but I only end up with
files being too large and/or parts of the logos missing.

Semlah is a local and very underground metal band over here and the singer (Joleni) is my co-worker.
They have a cult following here at work, and although they haven't played live for some time
I hear they have a new studio album in the works.
Would love to put their logo on a car in the game and show it to him.

Their best song in my opinion.

It just never appears as the original in the final version when I give it a go in Inkscape, no matter
what I attempt to do.

N100s, with BoP in place, C/M tyres, around Dragon Seaside II, that should give plenty of pedal to the metal action. Any car which can be dragged down to get within N100 is eligible.

Short races, reverse grids, and I'll find a way to slow the quick guys down a bit, maybe.
