First car I bought, but haven't made the mod yet.
Some people reported cars may loose hp after beeing fully tuned and then race moded...

It just disables the parts you have already applied to the car, after race modifying go back to the car in your garage, go in to 'tuning' and put the tuning parts back on again.

Stange how it de-activates certain engine mods after converting to Race Modification ?

Thing is if you apply the race modification first (before installing any engine mods), will that disable the options to install certain engine mods. ? :scared:

seems the safest route is to upgrade the engine first, and leave the race modification till last just in case.

I did wonder why my race modded camaro was slower after race mod was added. Seems a bit backwards to me, like many other great features in this game.

anyone know what cars are available to racing modify, spent loads on a car only to find it cant be modified, any help would be appreciated...:)

Is this a complete list?? 1031 cars and this is it?

I agree. Why not just make those the Tuned versions like in GTP, rather than dangle that Race Modification section in front of us for every car? :grumpy:

Not even that. Theres tons of premoded cars like the G37 etc that could have been the race mod, that way theyd have a hundred or so RM-able cars.

Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15) RM '02
Max Power: 456hp/7500rpm
Max Torque: 328ft-lb/7300rpm
Weight: 1000kg

Edit: Quick question, how do I export a "photo" I've taken in the game?

The Golf IV RM isn't anywhere near as good as I had hoped.

315hp isn't anything to sneeze at but it's more than a bit weak feeling despite the PWR and doesn't really have the grip I hoped for either.

Yea, when I first got it, I felt the same way. However after adding a LSD, proper racing tires and adjusting the transmission the car really took on a personality of it's own, in a good way. It's never going to be as fast as a GTR or Evo, but for me one trip around the Norschlife was enough to forget about 700hp GTRs and Evos.

I haven't been able to find where this might be posted. Does anyone know what Premium cars can be changed to RM? I have bought some Ferrari's and Lamborghini's but it only allows you to install aero kits.

I see that the ZR1 can be changed anyone know what else?

The car list in the NEWS section has all the RM cars listed.

credit goes to whoever bothered to copy and paste from the car list:

There's a whole 17 cars you can do it to:

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09
Dodge Challenger R/T '70

I was really looking forward to the race modifications. But only 17 cars? and why not include the third premium musclecar (Mach 1) as a competitor to the other RMable muscle cars? And the new Challenger and the 05 Mustang would have been pretty cool to race against the RM Camaro. You could have adjusted the performance on the RM version of these cars so that they would be closer to each other performancewise. And the `69 Corvette which won many races back when they were new (well the L88s did). I`d love to have one of these in my garage:

All of these are real racecars from 69 or the early seventies (`69 Corvettes all of them)

Lets hope PD include more RMable cars as DLC.

Don't leave the race mod till last.

You'll only have to upgrade the power again from standard.

What the racing mod actually gives you... (some models may differ slightly)

Adjustable racing aero body parts. Front and rear.
Racing exhaust.
Fully adjustable transmission.
Racing clutch & flywheel.
Fully adjustable suspension.
Stage 3 weight reduction. Including windscreen & bonnet.

Cost for VW Golf IV GTi = Cr156,000.ish

Result = 167bhp/6200rpm, 980kg

You can still upgrade the following...

ALL engine tuning mods.
ALL intake tuning mods.
Sports exhaust manifold.
Sports catalytic converter.
ALL turbo/supercharger mods.

Install ALL mods and get a 314bhp/7500rpm monster Golf.

So... Best to buy the Race Mod option for new 'un-modded' cars only.

Oh... and you can still change the base colour.

It's the complete list.
There are 17 "RM" cars listed on the offficial Car List.

But I hope there will be some DLC race mod-able cars in the future ;)

Wow.......I love everything about this game. But I'm shocked the list is that small. I wish you could do it to standard cars as well.

Can you paint race mods? I havn't done one yet. Been saving as much as I can for the millionaire trophy.
