Ohh - my good race a holics. Treat the DB9 gentle as a women and It will give you some nice experiences. And Matt - what the he.ck do you have against darling Grace, the cat woman. You're in the Mayday group man.

I really hope you all have some nice laughs and a nice time in this race.

MayDay-groups camerateam ready! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFUx-Ka3HPc

Hope our driver also. It's never easy to shoot good footage when there is lots of GTP's on the Grid. (...and by good footage I mean other drivers aint small spots on landscape)

great footage, and 2.15,0xx is an impressive time for someone still experiencing settings 👍 my last night few runs with the DB9 produced only low 2.16s and high 2.15s, with a best of 2.15,8xx

That shouldnt be a problem... 👍 I was wondering if it was still possible for me to submit a tune for the DB9... only problem is, I'm not home now and I wouldnt be able to post it until 17:00 GMT.... might be to late for anyone to test it... If its to late no worries...

Oh... then organizers need to think about adding some weight to M3, cause as you can see, there is lot of time to able take away from that 2'15.xxx... it was more like 'safe-run', that I got my testing material for YouTube.

I know you and me are quite 'same-level', so it's good compare our times against.

Anybody else have DB9-laptimes... dont give your 'one of the thousands'-lap... somekind of average freerun time.

No prob mate. That would be great. I'll make a link as soon as you got your tune posted.

Autoaki and Hun:
We've made a lot of test and the cars make low 2.14 and are quite equal in the laptime aspect.
BUT - the DB9 is a harder drive. In a race situation the BMW will have the upper hand I think. Its manny reasons for this. One is the fact that the DB9 is verry affected in grip and downforce while driving close to a car upfront.

But - as you know BMW drivers got smaler di.ks and maybe needs a couple wins. You know.
Dont worry to much about this - you havent seen the Q Branch final race score yet.

Hi there everybody,

I want to wish everybody the best of luck and a lot of fun tonight.:) I wish I could have joined you guys as well. But I have the flu and I feel too weak to compete you guys I don’t want to ruin your races. I really wanted to join, as you can see I posted on this threat as #5. I already felt a bit sick then:ill:. I hoped I was better by the time the race begins. But unfortunately I’m not.
I’ll will be following you guys on the forum tonight. So if any of you can write something in between race, which will be nice. For the sick people at home. Thanks

I hope I can participate the next time.

Special thanks to Marchbrown 👍(and his team:tup: and everybody how put in tunes for this event:tup:). Also for the F1 hotlap event on Fuji during the F1 weekend.

The flu must be doing the rounds here in Holland... I was sick last week as well for a couple days... A lot of people here at work as well... anyway hope you feel better soon! A real pity youre not participating... had good races with you on Fuji a while back ;)

I was sick, with the flu, the last 2,5 weeks. I think all my team mates know. I did get a really hot head sometimes. Not easy with fever and not to much sleep racing when you should have been in bed.

Get well soon!

Great video Autoaki. Thanks for helping out my friend.

M3 Time: 2'14.0
DB9 Time (Done with 600 PP, not 608 PP): 2'15.0
I think with the extra PP the DB9 has caught up enough, but rest assured Marchbrown did plenty testing to make sure things were even enough, so props to him.👍

From the times Ive seen so far, seems that the M3 is still a bit quicker... oh well.. makes it more exciting :) 👍

Yeah, by like half a second. That's the difference between
a) Driver skill
b) A good lap and an average lap
c) Slipstreaming
d) Field Compression/battles taking place causing pace to drop.
I think it's even enough.:)

Yup, I'm sure in a race situation it will be close between the two... :) Should be fun!

Yep

I'm in that one too... and thinking she will travel in the boot :D

I'll just strap her to my hood and scare the crap out of anyone in front of me when they look in their rearview... :D

-edit: oops double post... my bad!

Thanx mate 👍 I hope I’ll will be back on track this weekend. I’ll remember that races on Fuji 800pp you with the Mine’s (off course ) I drove the Amuse. Shame there weren’t a lot of GTP-ers then.

Thanks mate:tup:. You know how it is to race when you’re sick. You’re not as sharp as you used to be.
But I’ll be back

I'm looking forward to my first ever GTP event! ... and nervous!

I know I'm going to be at the back of the field... I'm nowhere near 2:14-2:15's

Yeah I was doing 2'16.4xx in aspecific sixaxis-based tune for the DB9, but I'll see if I can improve using Kai's,TLD or DCs tunes.

All the best
Maz

Heh... adrenaline, best dope in the world! I still get that feeling even i have driven these online-races about thousands.

Back of the field is good place to be... at start atleast. Easiest way to have racing-experience. You can spy how others drive and battles, and pick them one by one, when they do mistakes.

In the end you can say to yourself that you were great, maybe most best, cause you passed 4-8 drivers and no one behind you did not pass you! ;)

If you start front of Grid, just do your own driving and try to stay optimal-line. It is driver-behind job, to watch out not bumb your back or side, and these guys really can handle their jobs.

If you miss optimal-drivingline, be careful if you try to come back on it in same curve. There might be somebody already then. Most safest way is to keep that 'new drivingline', and pretend that you have find out very good new way to drive that place. You can also call it 'defensing-lines'.

Good luck Pal, and take one beer half hour before first race. It helps.

Also few more is good to be in the fridge.

edit: In this theme-event, that relaxer could also be Vodka-Martini.

Its amazing how relaxing beer can be... LOL just dont get too relaxed.. ;)

^Yes, thats correct. I hope I can still make it to the race, I can never be sure what time I can get on the PS3.

Perhaps those who can should join the GTP Chat to help connecting at the same time easier?

Be careful what you's say:nervous:You never know who could be listening in;).

All oil-slick devices will be removed from all cars, due to faulty parts supplied by a double agent:scared:.You may replace the device with anything you find in Q-division:sly:Happy Hunting Bonds:tup:

:tup:I agree 110%. I (and the T&L guys) try to do it always in this way and if everybody do it then it´s no problem to go side by side (i really love it) through the whole racetrack.

That´s also right, lol:cheers:

BTW, i thought i have to compare the T&L tunes again and just tried 3 free run laps for each car:

T&L DB9
1st lap 2:14:6..
2nd lap 2:14:5..
3rd lap 2:14:158

T&L M3
1st lap should be ca. 2:14:5.., didn´t finished after a 130r mistake:dopey:
2nd lap 2:14:0..
3rd lap 2:13:760

I think the M3 is only in T1 a bit faster, but if you get used to the DB9 then it should be possible to fight and beat the M3.:scared:

I´m really looking forward to see you all this evening.

...

T&L DB9
1st lap 2:14:6..
2nd lap 2:14:5..
3rd lap 2:14:158

...

I know I just had last night for about an hour of "two laps -change settings - two laps - change settings - two laps - bang my head on the wall - two laps - oh I did a 2.15.8xx, how nice ..."

but reading what Kai wrote about his DB9 lap times ...

... I feel absolute disaster is coming my way tonight!

Hey Marchbrown, I posted the tune in my thread... 👍 didnt know if it was a good idea to post the link here... ??
