Not true. Drag pack Mustangs would blow it away.

That said, it was one of the fastest....can you imagine what that motor would have done in the lighter cars...that was only a smallblock!

The only car manufacturers ever to build V4 engines were Lancia, Ford, and ZAZ. The V4 is, as such, a very rare engine configuration, although Ford built variants were indeed used in a great number of cars, most noticeably the Transit.

Besides I4's, I didn't think V4s were too rare. Must be I was wrong.

While the second-gen Lexus RX (XU30) was replaced by a completely new model (AL10) in 2009, its Toyota Harrier sibling was in continuous production from February 2003 to September 2012 at TMK’s Miyata plant. Toyopet dealerships had not sold out their Harrier stock until well into 2013.

Let's rename this thread. I've got a couple ideas.

I read it in Muscle car review magazine and also Mustangs and Super Fords. Sadly I cannot find a link now. It was only a few tenths ahead of the Boss 429. I love how everyone complains but doesn't post up stuff.

From my understanding that at was a full second and a half faster, running low 13s on factory polyglass tires and mid 12s on 285 slicks while the 429 ran an average of 14.7. It pulled hard at the end and but sucked off the line. Impressive what that little 351 could do. Would be scary in a lighter car.

I have seen various numbers for them, Muscle car review did a test a few years back but I couldn't find a list. The ones I am referring were back from the '90s. I tried to find proof this weekend but I must have tossed them out when I cleaned house a few months back and got rid if 15+ years of car magazines LOL.

The M115 engine was the fastest production engine to go from 30 to 50 miles an hour at 1.7 seconds. (M115 engine is in an SLR McLaren)

Oh look, apparently fast is defined as quarter-mile times.

Better to post nothing than post garbage.

The Peugeot 106 "kid" special edition came with a denim trimmed interior... The front seat and the back seat were all made out of denim! You'd think they would have been a bit more resistant to wear... But in actuality, it would catastrophically breakdown well before you ever saw that advantage!

Yeah we were talking stock classic muscle cars so there "quickness" was defined by 1/4 mile times. Were you expecting a 'ring time?

Better to post nothingsomething bitchy than post garbage in the spirit of the thread.

It's not common for speed to be defined as the distance travelled in a given amount of time?

Also.. FTFY...

*and yes I realise my post could be considered Bitchy without contributing anything new... but I feel it's in defence of thread, rather than trying to appear superior to it.

Well, since they were talking about classic Muscle Cars, I would imagine that yes; their quickness was defined by 1/4 mile times.

Also, keep in mind that not everyone has the same taste as you. If some people want to post about Muscle Cars, then let them do so.

Between 1997 & 2002, the Dodge Viper GTS-R won the FIA GT2 championship 5 times.

You said "fastest" which is meaningless without context.

Since you failed to provide context and still haven't provided proof, your "fact" is unqualified and meaningless, hence my quote...

Jim Morrison owned a blue Shelby GT500.

He is also feeding the worms on Cimetière du Père-Lachaise.
Facts should be about cars, not people, otherwise this thread turns into poop pretty soon.

Or more specifically, Geely owns Volvo Cars, but AB Volvo is completely unrelated to Geely. AB Volvo owns Renault Trucks, which is turn has no relation to Renault SA.

Saab placed the ignition on the floor so that in an accident you don't have to pluck the key out of your knee.

The Shelby CSX-VNT was the first production car to feature a variable nozzle turbocharger and plastic composite wheels.

I wasn't too sure if it was worth putting. It kinda is about cars, but not really. Being a smart 🤬 about it doesn't help though.

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage was discontinued from no new orders. Funny how this was just after Daniel Craig took delievery of his V12 Vantage Volante.
