Rarest Cars in GT5?

The rarest car is the car you are currently looking for. But in reality, the only "rare" car I can think of is the Carbon X2010 Prototype. It takes some serious skills to win and you can't trade it. To me, its the only thing that shows skill in an online room car-wise. Unless, however, they picked one up before the trade restrictions.

The best way to refresh the UCD IMO is to get into an A Spec race, start it up and once it's started exit the race and do this 5 times for a new UCD.

You get it to refresh the ENTIRE UCD this way??
Because that's never worked for me. As I said, no matter how many times you exit & restart, it's only recycling 6 new cars into the UCD.

Yes if you start the race in A Spec and then once you see your car going around the track press start and exit and then start the race and do this 5 times for an entire new UCD.

Edit: I do it all the time!

Go to license tests, choose B-1, hit "Next License" until you get to B-5, and check the UCD :). 30 new cars all set and ready to go 👍.

Doing it either way takes about the same amount of time IMO and gets you a brand new UCD.

None is really rare. There is an order in which cars appear in the UCD, you just have to be there.
I'm glad someone started an original thread and that Dark Ruffo was the first one in there with this totally original reply!

I do think, however, that some cars are 'programmed' to appear less frequently than others. The Pescarolo Judd GV5 never appeared so long as I was actively trying to buy it - in the end I got it from a level 23 ticket using the reset method, and that must've taken in total over 2 hours of trying.

Agreed, whatever floats your boat watermelon 👍

Did I offend you?

No, not at all :). I was saying we were both equally correct and she should use whichever method is more appealing to her.

Ohh I didn't see her username, my bad!

Did you think I was trying to call you a watermelon as an insult? I'm crying laughing over here, that's hilarious :) that's my bad, I can see how that would sound weird, haha.

True.
This is the only car I don't have, excluding the DLC cars (which I have 2 of).
Was considering buying the Collectors Ed just to get the Chromelines - how sad is that?

Out of ten, I'd say a solid 6 . I've definitely seen crazier things done.

@crazedcoupe, hahaha oh my that was a good laugh 👍.

I got this car before the trade limit from a buddy but I decided to delete the car because I felt I didn't earn it, how sad is that? :indiff:

Hey, at least your honest, I respect that.

Correct answer to the question is: Stealth cars.
After: limited chrome line cars
After: zone limited cars (Gamestop CoT, Edge, XJ13...)
These cars are impossibile to find in EVERY collection.

Then maybe the 370Z prize car, and the GT Academy Nissans.

Then we have to look at UCD/OCD rarity.

UCD TOP 3 are: FX45, Xanavi Hiroto GTR and Takata Dome NSX '03

According to TornadoAlley thread lists (more than 2500 game days covered):

# - manifacturer - car - nr. of appearances in UCD
1st Subaru Impreza Rally Car #7 '03 1
2nd Cadillac Cien Concept '02 2
2nd Audi Audi R8 LMS Race Car '09 2
4th Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI #8 '93 3
4th Acura DN-X Concept '02 3
4th Gran Turismo Formula Gran Turismo 3
4th Honda Takata Dome NSX #18 '03 3
4th Infiniti FX45 Concept '02 3
4th Nissan Xanavi Hiroto GT-R #22 '01 3
4th Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 Rally Car '86 3
10th Ford GT '02 4
10th i concept 4
10th ... others

The Subaru and the Peugeot are in OCD. The Cien, the DNX and the R8 are also prize cars. The Alfa was in OCD some months ago. The FGT is in OCD every week.

I was lucky to find the FX45 and the Xanavi Hiroto GTR.
The Takata Dome NSX '03 is the only one I haven't. Quite impossible to find, best candidate to be my 1147th car model...

More.
According to mygt garages (more than 20000 users), we have a confirm that GT5 rarity is also user garage rarity, aside of the fact that duping generally destroyed some stats (the NSX Takata Dome is quite popular.... not speaking of the X2010).
Rare cars also rare in garages:
- Stealths
- FX45
- GTR Xanavi Hiroto
- Ford GT '02
- Mitsubishi i-concept

Also rare in UCD:
- CZ3 Tarmac '01 (only six)

Not popular as there are too many versions: NSX, S2000, Tuscani, Lexus GS300, MX5, RX7, RX8, GTO/3000GT, Silvia, Skyline, Z, Aristo, Legacy, Prelude, FTO

Not popular because there is another DM version:
- March 12c (Micra), Yaris F (Vitz), ist (Scion), Toyota Voltz (Vibe), Vauxhall Vectra (Opel), MRS V (MR2), Mazda 6 concept '01 (Atenza)

Strange things: can you give an answer?????
- Ballade CRX, G35 '03, all Primera, Pontiac Sunfire, Suzuki S2, Celica ST162

- LEXUS ENEOS '08 (Premium!!!!!!)
- Atenza '05 (why the best one is the less chosen?????)
- Mirage 1400 (too ugly???)
- GTR Loctite Zexel '00 (why only this?)

Another interesting key would be: what is the largest gap for 2 succeeding appearances?
I did a search between UCD rarest (last seen Impreza WRC '03 was 14000 days ago!), aside of the OCD buyable, and found this:
1st CZ3 Tarmac '01 about 11000 days (last low level car bought, for me, last week)
2nd FX45 more than 10000 days
3rd Xanavi Hiroto about 9800 days
4th Takata Dome NSX #18 '03 about 6900 days

Now you know how much you can ask for trade :D

PS Sorry for long post, but question was for it ;)

OKAY... I figured it out. You CANNOT hit "restart".
You must press the RED exit, and go out to the main race screen, and then press start again. Then it does recycle them all!!
Thanks for getting me clued in on this!

I'd tried it before just by pressing "restart" - and that definitely does NOT work. 👎

Having tried it that way... I think that's a tad quicker... But only if you use an Aspec race that doesn't take long to load in the 1st place. (For example, the license tests, even several, load MUCH faster than some of the Aspec races.)
But the Beginners Aspec Sunday Cup race at Autumn Ring Mini loads quite fast. So I would say using that Aspec race is faster than using the B-1 to B-5 license tests to recycle the UCD

Anyway, if you're willing to do that... and willing to remote race b-specs like crazy... or rubber band grind or stuff like that... Even so-called rare cars will pop up in the UCD & you'll have enough credits to buy them.
I don't do any of that much though... and sometimes there's cars in the UCD I would like to buy but don't have the credits. But there's few cars I've had problems attaining, and few cars I haven't seen many times in the UCD.
The car I had the most difficulty attaining was the Nissan PAO. I wanted one very badly... and I didn't see it for a few months of having the game! But eventually it popped up, I bought it about a month ago, and I've since been able to buy about 3-4 of them. So they were not rare, I just had bad luck, and it just seemed like it was rare because I wanted it & wasn't seeing it.

The cars listed in the OP are not special edition.
The OP wasn't talking about that 300SL Mercedes in the shuffle races & whatnot. The cars listed were like the Bentley & stuff.

Did you think I was trying to call you a watermelon as an insult? I'm crying laughing over here, that's hilarious :) that's my bad, I can see how that would sound weird, haha.

Oh my too funny!!!  I'm crying laughing over here too. Sorry my username caused a misunderstanding... even if an hilarious one!

carbon X1 is similar to the normal X1 performance wise, its just a foil on it
u can get X1 by reaching kv 35 B spec, which easier to me than pass X1 challange using dual shock 3 :grumpy:

Yes if you start the race in A Spec and then once you see your car going around the track press start and exit and then start the race and do this 5 times for an entire new UCD.

Edit: I do it all the time!

You don't have to start the race. Just load the event and when yer at the screen where you have options, settings, start and exit, just exit. All you need is to see the loading screen. You don't need to start the race. Loads 6 new cars every loading screen. Simple.

The cars in GT5 do NOT cycle evenly in the used car dealership at all. I force the UCD to cycle and check nonstop. I have about 340 cars and very rarely do I see any cars that I don't already have. It's frustrating because I can cycle for hours and all that will show up is Miatas and S2000's over and over and over. All ones I've bought 2 months ago. Rarely do I see any odd cars or any American cars. Anyone who thinks otherwise must just be really lucky or be playing a different game. In my opinion there are some VERY rare cars because I usually only see Japanese cars 80 percent of the time and I've been cycling for months and have about 60 percent completion.

Since I was (am) on a mission to buy all cars in GT5, I can confirm that out of the non-race cars, the Ford GT '02 is one of the rarest. After buying EVERY non-race car in the UCD when the model first appeared from a certain point onwards, this was, by far, the last to show up.

Of course, it depends a little on where in the cycle (if it is a cycle), you start with this.

I'm having no such trouble with finding the race cars. Only 3 or 4 left to buy for me there in a much shorter time-frame and I know from TornadoAlley's list, that two will show up in 50 days or so and the other two 100-200 days later.

Then my mission will be complete. Or, uh, start. Guess someone needs to drive'em all. :sly:
