Was so lucky this week...bought the escudo, 2d and 2j Chapperel...my second lot..been looking for them since last time I saw them in January.

I have been searching for 4 months for a 1976 Golf Gti.

I CANNOT FIND IT.

Oh and to the other posters, I got the diablo, I also saw the R8 Race car but didn't buy it.

Given the amount of trading that goes on, I would define rare as: over the trade cap (950,00cr), not easily obtainable from a ticket, and not in the OCD recently. Here you are bound to the UCD.

I really wanted the Audi R8 LMS race car. Today the rare Pescalaro Courage car came up i bought that next go around and guess what the Audi R8 LMS race comes and i have no money:grumpy:

:) Lucky one....i'm want one long ago, and can't be tradable....

try cyclying the UCD by loading licences tests:)
Rare car do exist :grumpy:,I know that because i spent the whole 3 days cyclying the UCD for the Escudo to appare:drool: and got it:dopey:, on the other hand a car like the GTO available all the damn time:yuck:

same here found it but could not afford it:grumpy:

If I were to come accros something like a Bentley Speed 8, could I in any way buy it for 'someone' else? Or would they have to search the UCD themselves?

LMP cars like the Speed 8 you couldn't because they are untradeable. They would need a level 23 or a 2003 ticket to get one. Cars worth over 1m new are untradeable.👍 Useless I know but it's how it is."sigh"

The rarest car for me was an Audi R8 LMS Race Car '09 in Red...I've won one(Jetblau Metalic) after winning the 4hr Ring race in A-spec and I have 2 black ones. One of the black ones is the Team Playstation. Now I've seen at least a dozen black ones come and go in the UCD and a few of the blue ones too...I just never knew there even was a red version!...Now I'm wondering what other colours I'm missing from this group...Does anyone have,or have seen a white one?

Aw Man!...That's gonna hurt the old wallet completing that set for sure...The cars look great and even drive well but they're not worth 5mil a pop!..👎
Thanks elric718 for the research.

Wow,didn't know there were that many,I have one in blue and the one in Team Playstation black but damn...

No cars are really rare. Now that I only do seasonals to buy out the UCD, I have accumulated almost all cars.

I love my '83 Silvia 240RS. I can drift Suzukua East almost without stopping. Working on it.

The Nissan Skyline Sport Coupe [BLRA-3] 1962 is pretty goddamn rare, it took me ages to find one to tune, only seen it twice since I started playing

No cars are really rare.

That depends on the way you chose to play the game. In 1400 game days the Zonda S will show up again. So that's about 1 1/2 years real life playing time for me. Damn rare I say.

1400 game days? You can use the loading licenses trick to advance 100 game days in about a half hour. 200 per hour. So 7 hours real-time. I'm sure you have more time to play. If you can only manage 7 hours in 1.5 years, I feel very sorry for you. Most of us here average 7 hours a freaking day. Well maybe not most of us, but 7 hours a week definitely.

I have the Zonda C12 and C12S btw.

Sorry I should have been more specific: it's the C12S 7.3 which will show up in ~ 1400 days again.

As I try to save up some time to be able to do another 4 hrs Nürburgring race, at which I fail, I do about 3 seasonal races a day, which equals 1.5 years in total.

I'm not willing to cycle the UCD either, because that would leave even less time racing.

So you see in my gaming style frame, some cars are really quite rare unless I chose to trade (if possible), get lucky in the OCD or from a ticket.

I'm aiming at 30 minutes TV time a day, and that includes Motorsport in telly, Doctor who and Top gear besides GT5. :)

I found a way to find if a car is rare (GTPlanet member's "encoded" effort):

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=rarity,+5+site:gt5cars.net

Seems they use the times (per game day) the car comes up in the UCD.

===============================

Out of there statistics:
Nissan Skyline Sport Coupe [BLRA-3] 1962 only scores an average 3 on rarety, as does the 1976 Golf Gti.
2j Chapperel, TVR Speed 12, 2003 Pescarolo Courage C60, and Saleen S7 score a respectable 4.
2000 Tommy kaira ZZII '00, Nissan R390 Road Car, 2009 Audi Audi R8 LMS Race Car '09, 2004 Pescarolo Courage - Judd, 1998 Suzuki Escudo Dirt Trial Car '98 are confirmed as 5.
