Rarest Cars in GT5?

I guess if we reach hard enough, we find that every car has some redeeming quality or another. The Special plows like a dump truck, so other than in a drag race, it's kinda useless for "racing" per se. At least on tracks with turns, anyway.

I have all the cars in the op. Just been lucky enough to have enough credits when they appeared and I believe the Speed 8 I bought when they were in the ocd a little while ago. The car I'm after now is the 2J. I'm afraid to spend any credits because I don't want to have it show up and right before that I spent all my money lol.

The easiest way to get the 2J racecar I reckon is by birthday ticket it.. Just create a fake account with your birthday on today's date with your birth year 1970 then trade the ticket into your main account :) I got it first time... LUCKY :D

Pretty much the rest of the 1st page of "most rare cars" are Miatas. LOL LOL
 
Believe it or not I value my Tacoma because it hardly ever turns up in the UCD. Despite duping and such.

The pick-up truck? I just bought 2 of them just yesterday from my UCD. (The 2nd had very low mileage.)

See, it just depends on what you're looking for! If you want something and it's not showing up... then it seems like it's rare!

For example, I want the Silverado too now... But though I've seen it many times & never bought it - now that I want it to test it out & see if I should use it for the NASCAR truck series... now that hasn't shown up in my UCD.

I needed a New Beetle 2.0 for a race that might be happening... DIdn't have one. Recycled the UCD several times. It finally showed up. I bought it. Then, the very next time the UCD recycled, another New Beetle 2.0 showed up - again, with lower mileage!
 
ha, so random. I wake up this morning after half a night of online/remote b-spec racing and there's a 2J in the UCD.

'01 IS 300 SportCross

I need a 2J also. can't afford it right now though - only have like 8-9 million. i wish you could trade money, i have over 10 million with one of my alternate accounts...
 
A few cars I've rarely seen:

  • Infiniti FX45-Never seen in UCD
  • Jaguar XFR-Never seen in UCD (winnable in top gear Expert event, however)
  • Toyota RSC-Never seen in UCD, only in the OCD a few weeks ago (and I got it :))
  • Audi R8 LMS Race Car (team Playstation)-Only seen once in UCD
  • Audi R8 LMS Race Car-Only seen twice in UCD
There's a few more to this list, but I can't exacly remember

Psychology... ;) though the Tacoma used to be a bit harder to get before the UCD got updated in one of the patches.

But it's true the UCD mostly shows the cars one doesn't need at that moment.

I just saw ANOTHER Tacoma in my UCD - right after posting my last post in this thread about having bought 2. :boggled:
 
Okay, so someone posted on Jordan's profile, informing him that someone called him a "watermelon" in an online room. I think I may have started the newest insult trend. Should we make a social group? GTP Watermelons? :lol:

I'm crying laughing here because it was true!!!!!!!!!
I put my little spoof on the New Yorker cartoon as my profile picture. haha.
That has to be the funniest internet forum misunderstanding I've witnessed in ages.

As insults go... it is rather a bizarre one... if it's an insult at all... Since I surely don't see it as one!

But then I guess I have a pretty outrageous sense of humour myself.
I worry I was a little harsh on the Mygranturismo guy - since his web site is great... I just don't think it has any relevance at all in determining rarity of cars that people continually ignore when they see them in their UCD. haha.
And you know, as that recent post demonstrates... It's like you can shout from the rooftops and there are still people who think the world is flat.
Sad fact is, probably more than half of the people who play gt5, ignore any and all cars slower & less well handling than say a Lotus Elise or BMW M3. A Ford Focus or RM Golf is about as "low as most players will go". LOL

I'm really thinking we should run with this :lol:. If word got out about it, we would have a lot less language referrals and everyone could just call someone a watermelon instead of a 🤬 :lol:.

I just realized, it may in fact be tantamount to calling someone a... well it rhymes with n00b. LOL
But that's definitely NOT what I was thinking of when I chose this username 12 years ago. I just like melon fruits!!

Hahaha I never thought of that side of the argument, but every word has innuendos or deeper meanings behind it. And I don't think it would be that offensive to most of the men around here, at least I know it would give me a laugh :lol:.

There's always someone who will find some arcane way of twisting something around to make it offensive even when it's not actually... unless used in a very specific context. Just to get people riled up on the forum.
(And it's not just trolls, I think ordinary people can get sucked into that when they're in a testy mood.)

Well that's what I was thinking!! HAHA

But somehow maybe "watermelon" when written in text somehow loses the "tone" necessary to properly denote "sweet fruit with high water content". hahahaha
