I've got a plan for the week that the 500th Cool Wall poll is made
(Note that @Adamgp 's nomination, which is 51st in the Queue, is only 470, so these specials are a long way off.)
Shh... As long as no one nominates, my car after the PT Cruiser will be up sooner.Nominations are open, wondering why no one posted any all week
But if no one nominates, then no one posts in this thread, and then I have the First World Problem of having to go to page 2 to find this thread to update the OP in itShh... As long as no one nominates, my car after the PT Cruiser will be up sooner.
I'll make a nomination daily, don't worry .But if no one nominates, then no one posts in this thread, and then I have the First World Problem of having to go to page 2 to find this thread to update the OP in it
1969-1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302
Body Style: 2 Door Coupe, Sportsroof
Engine: 302ci 5.0L V8
Power Output: Rated 290 @ 5,800rpm, Optional output: 310-350 @ 6,500rpm
Torque: 290 lb-ft @ 4,300rpm
Weight: 3,200lbs/1,450kg
0-60: 6.9 seconds
1/4 Mile: 14.6 seconds
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual (No Automatics Offered)
Drivetrain: FR, RWD
Additional Information: The engine was a hybrid of the Windsor and Cleveland small block V8s Ford as producing. The heads and top half of the engine were from the Cleveland engine and were race bread parts meant for high RPM performance, which in return lacked power for typical street driveability making it a dog from 0-60. The bottom half was Windsor bread, which had a bulletproof set of parts regarding strength. This car was meant to rev high. The factory limiter was set to 5,800rpm which blocked off extra useable horsepower; so a option was offered to buy a factory 6,800rpm limiter which let the engine rev out and build more horsepower. The car was also an excellent handler out of the box, one of the best stock Mustangs you could buy for that back in the day. The Trans Am race version produced 470 horsepower at 8,000rpm.
The Boss 429 and 64-66 Mustangs were polled a long time ago.The following 1st-gen Mustangs have been polled/are currently waiting to be polled:
'64-'66 Mustang,
'69 Boss 429
'69 - '70 Boss 302
'70 Mach 1
Now don't get me wrong, I love a nice Mustang, but is there any point in polling any more? Chances are, whether people like them or not, everybody will vote very similarly (if not exactly the same) as any others polled previously.

I feel there's enough major differences between them to warrant a new poll. The bodies are about the only things that are remotely similar besides maybe the interiors. The heart of the car, and their suspension are all SIGNIFICANTLY different. That may be true, I just don't see how the results will be significantly different.
By the way, I'm not having a go, I'm just curious. I'd be asking exactly the same questions if anybody else posted, for example, a 1st gen Subaru Impreza, or indeed any other car of which there subtly different variants of the same model.
I'll give it 24 hours, if no one is, then I will delete it.Cars with an asterisk (*) denote a deviation from the majority. Does not apply to 'McQueen', 'Ice Box', 'Dungeon', or 'Hell'.
Cars with a tilde (~) denote a tie for the majority between two or more poll options.
A tilde and an asterisk together mean that the car's final categorization does not match either of the tied "majorities".
Cars with a caret (^) had a longer poll than usualy because I was absent-minded and forgot to set the poll to close.
Yes.Is anyone opposed to me doing away with these things in the Results thread?

Any particular reason?Yes.
So far there are only 2, and of them, the two ties are between Cool & SZ for one and Uncool & Meh for the otherI never understood what the first one of those exceptions (*) even mean.
I don't care if you get rid of them all, though the second one that has a tie between two or more vote categories (~) could be an interesting statistic.
