2008-2011 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series
2009_MercedesBenz_SL65AMGBlackSeries13.jpg

Body Style: 2-door coupe
Engine: 6.0L V12 BiTurbo M275 AMG
Power: 661 HP
Torque: 740 lb·ft
Weight: 1907 kg
Transmission: AMG Speedshift Plus five-speed automatic
Drivetrain: RWD
Additional Information:
"The performance version of the SL 65 AMG was unveiled in Monterey in 2008.[15] The turbochargers are 12% larger, and the optimised wastegate ducts permit increased air throughout. Intake air ducting and exhaust system are modified to improve response and reduce the exhaust gas backpressure. The Black Series is 250 kilograms (550 lb) lighter than regular SL 65 AMG by the use of light carbon fibre composites (CFRP) parts and the omission of the SL's normal foldable hardtop roof, replacing it with a fixed roof. Not only did this save weight, it also made room available for the retractable rear spoiler.

The AMG Speedshift Plus five-speed automatic transmission include "C", "S", "M1" and "M2" which has gearshift times 25 percent quicker than the "M1" mode. The Black Series front axle track width is 97 millimetres wider and the rear axle track width 85 millimetres wider over regular model. Other changes include retractable rear spoiler and the rear apron with diffuser fins, 265/35R19 front tyres with 19x9.5 inch AMG light-alloy wheels and AMG 20x11.5-inch light-alloy wheels with 325/30R20 tyres (Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tyres), 6-piston front calipers with 390x36mm discs and 4-piston calipers with 360x26mm discs."

1981-1987 Lotus Esprit Turbo/Turbo HC
lotus-esprit-coupe-petrol_24875605.jpg

Body Style: 2-door sports car
Engine: 2.2 liter Type 910 turbocharged Inline-4
Power: 210 HP (1981-1986 Turbo), 215 HP (1986-1987 Turbo HC)
Torque: 200 ft-lb (1981-1986 Turbo), 220 ft-lb (1986-1987 Turbo HC)
Weight: 1,150 kg
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Drivetrain: Mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive
Additional Information: In April 1981, Lotus introduced the Esprit Turbo and the naturally-aspirated Esprit S3, which marked a necessary consolidation that both new models shared a common chassis. While the S3 continued to use the 2.2 liter Type 912 engine of the S2.2, the Turbo Esprit reverted to a less complex wet-sump lubrication system, retaining the power and torque outputs of its dry-sump predecessor. Externally, the Turbo Esprit retained the full aerodynamic body kit of the Essex cars, and featured prominent 'turbo esprit' decals on the nose and side. For the 1985 model year, both the S3 and Turbo underwent some slight alterations to the bodywork and to the front suspension. In April 1986, the final incarnations of the Giugiaro-styled Esprit were announced, with higher engine compression. This increased the output to 172 HP for the naturally-aspirated Esprit HC, and 215 HP for the Esprit HC Turbo. For markets with stringent emissions requirements, Lotus introduced the HCi variant with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection and a catalytic converter, making it the first Esprit with fuel injection. In 1987, the Esprit HC and Esprit Turbo HC were replaced with a redesign of the Esprit designed by Peter Stevens.

The most performance oriented version of the fourth generation Legacy

Not necessarily; they also had a Tuned by STi version on top of that which had an ECU remap, STi pink springs, STi BBS wheels with Pirelli P-Zeros and STi-spec Brembos. I digress though because that's only available on the turbo models.

The poor EZ30 never got the love it deserved :(

Street Car Nomination
2008 Ferrari SP1 (Special Project #1)
2008-ferrari-sp1-5.jpg

Body Style: 2-Door Coupé
Engine: 4.3L 90-degree V8 (4,308 cc) Ferrari F136 Engine
Power: 490 bhp
Torque: 342 ft-lb
Weight: 1450 kg / 3197 lbs
Transmission: 7-speed dual clutch transmission
Drivetrain: Mid engine, rear-wheel drive
Additional Information: This one-off was built for the Japanese collector Junichiro Hiramatsu who is an admirer of Fioravanti's style. He especially liked the F100, an earlier Ferrari concept car by Fioravanti dating back to 1998. Hiramatsu asked Ferrari if they could build him a car like that and so they turned to Fioravanti.

This car was built under the "Portfolio" coach-building program at Ferrari. The design houses who have decided to become authorized Portfolio coachbuilders are Pininfarina, Zagato, and Fioravanti.

The body of SP1 (Special Project #1) is almost completely new, except for the greenhouse (A- B- and C-pillars, windscreen and side windows) which is part of the stressed chassis structure. The new body panels are made of carbon fiber. The skirts, roof, and rear bumper clearly show the material they're made of. The rear end of the SP1 is a bit higher and the air intakes are shaped by much sharper lines. The tail lights are taken from the 599 GTB. The nose doesn't look very different than the standard F430, because of the stock head lights, but Fioravanti stretched the nose a bit to make it look sleeker and lower. To match the stretched front end, Fioravanti had to apply some mascara and eye shadow around the stock head lights. The wheels are taken from a standard 430 Scuderia and the side mirrors are stock parts as well.

Additional Information: An obscure product of Ford of Canada, the Monarch nameplate was used intermittently starting shortly after WWII as a more upscale offering in Ford dealerships. I feel like I've neglected to speak out about a few issues with recent nominations that I ended up adding to the queue without a second thought. They're all eligible, but some points should have been highlighted:

5.0L V12 (300 hp), 6.7L V16 (408 hp)

Can't allow either of them. The 750i/iL was polled a while back (also by @Doog) and the V16 was never a production model, as pointed out in more than one thread already. You can either remove those two and keep your spot or nominate something different...

2003-2009 Subaru Legacy B4/Touring Wagon (BL, BP)

...so long as it isn't another slightly different flavour of 4th gen Legacy.

2008 Ferrari SP1 (Special Project #1)

Had to check again if this fell within the rules since only one was built. As a coachbuild based on an existing production model, I'll allow it.

If it's the whole generation in general, is that a-ok?

If it's the whole generation in general, is that a-ok?

It would have been easier if @Beeblebrox237 covered the whole generation when he had the chance, but doing the rest in one go would be better than focusing on one other specific variant.

Won't be much different from me allowing @Turbo to nominate the non-V12 E32s.

Considering the Spec.B power wise isn't much different than the regular GT, I don't think I would need to make omissions within my suggestion.

Thank you! To be honest, I was second-guessing posting the suggestion based on the same argument. (I've also added some more detail to the submission itself)
