TREAT YO SELF.
In PA you'll just fill out the federal form and they'll run your info through the NICS system real quick.
All you need is your drivers license or some other form of government issued ID to prove who you are.
I've been hankering to start my gun collection with a CZ 75 SP-01 for range and home defense (and possibly open carry).
I'm a rifleman not a pistolero, but isn't the Shadow a little big and heavy for a carry piece?
Yeah I know, but there are many people (like me) who are annoyed by the mere weight and/or size of a smart phone - let a lone an all-metal full size handgun.Since it would be open carried, it would not be as bad.
Fan of Glock, especially G19, but I'm not a fan of their trigger feel either. I saw an ad for this CZ other day & couldn't believe how cheap it was(isn't it like $400, or below?). It looks really good & from a reputable brand. Not sure what's going on there with the extension, but I hope it's mechanically sound & reliable.
@MoparGTS - Great guns you got there, but I just saw that you are from Cali. I'm so sorry. If it makes you feel any better, Anti-Gun people in Oregon are now pushing more gun laws on law-abiding people, too. God, I hate clueless legislators & their supporters.

Got 4 80% ARs done. These are for friends. It's exhausting being such a nice person.

I had to look it up, but that's a good looking gun mang.

If I was to open carry, boy I have no idea. Maybe 1911?(Kimber Custom Target II) Single stack grip feels awesome. Or my other handgun, USP .45? 4~5 more rounds in the magazine would be nice. Both guns are super reliable for me.
If I was to buy one, maybe Glock 19, or 23?
Are they metal frame?I think a Sig p226 would be the most expensive carry I'd buy.
Are they metal frame?
So barely any kick with the 9 then. I bet it's a sweet shooter.![]()
It's one of the better 9mm on the market I mean the P226 is as famous as the Beretta 92, but I'd pick the Sig over the Beretta any day.
I really prefer the weight of alloy frames in my hang over plastic. I understand the merits of polymer framed pistols (and the Walther PPQ M2 is on my wish list), but for my first gun, I want a big beefy, low-kick 9 that makes me look like I know what I'm doing.
Well, I like the SP-01 because it can be carried Cocked and Locked, so DA doesn't have to be an issue. But I'm anticipating having two different trigger pulls and don't mind the extra difficulty. You're talking to a guy who has Cherry MX Clears on his keyboard because I wanted to feel like each button press was a fight.Well DA/SA pistols are still something you're going to have to get use to since that is what you seem to want. So it isn't that easy to pick up and use in succession (not incredibly hard either), in reality a revolver is always going to be the easiest go to gun.

Well then, explain the context of what you meant by the revolver being the easiest Go-to gun? I don't know what you mean.Just giving advice as a long time gun owner to a future one is all.
