The 1969 Camaro 427 COPO's are famous for their raw power and low production volumes. They were specifically made to get around the limitations on performance cars that General Motors had imposed on Chevrolet;The AMA specifications filed for COPO 9560 listed horsepower at 430hp several dynoed 540 - 550 HP range. Modern components like piston rings may be the cause of the slightly higher performance.
Great work man. I love this car & was working on this myself but I'm not a suspension tuner at all so I couldn't get the thing to handle. Looks like you've had more luck. As for the gear ratios, I think you've got the M22 ratios not the M21. M21 wouldn't survive behind this torque-monster of a motor! They have enough trouble surviving behind a small block :-) Any chance you might be working on the L88 427 versions of the C2 & C3 Corvettes? I have the stats if u like, just can't get them to go around corners!
