Realistic horsepower levels

Are you satisfied with the current hp depictions?

I don't doubt that at all. There's a kid at my school that bought the fwd eclipse, painted it neon orange and green, then threw on some Lambo doors. It came complete with a huge fake tank of NOS. Now for the icing on the cake.... He's about 6 foot 6

im only 6ft so its not as bad. But im also not going to rice it out THAT much. Spoiler, hood, and maybe a not super obvious body kit and a bit of lower.

just subtle mods. Obviously some performance too because then people just hate you more if you make something look fast when its not.

But only if nuclear jet engines are available as well.

At least the Merlin has been done and thus is realistic with money and great fabricators. The nuclear jet engine isn't realistic or successful in the past 50 years in the application it is meant for, thus the joke fails for cars. Well then again it is a video game and anything is possible...

but its a "sim"....so no

Cars with jet engines, rockets, etc, have been done and are therefore realistic.

Oh and the previous post is not a joke. That's not how you call that sort of text.

You said nuclear jet engines, if it had been jet engines I'd have agreed with you. Even if you're being a smart alec about it all.

Two different things.

I used the term jet engines two times, because I had to and not because there's any relation.

The first was a hyperbole. Then in the next post I only answered to the particular post I quoted. Understandable if it looked confusing.

Where did I mention civics?

Edit: if you're referring to my use of the word "ricer", it has absolutely nothing to do with honda. I mean it as anyone who goes and buys the most expensive car in the game and brings online to drag only to have it dusted by a monster vw golf.
And den...

No. A Chevy calvalier is a popular example of a ricer. Any car can be riced out actually.
I was unaware that Cavaliers are considered pricey.

Lmao... Haven't seen a civic this badView attachment 85165
You haven't seen many Civics.

So, is this thread to "talk about ricers", or about how much power PD should give each of the "1200" cars in the game?
If so I vote for 850HP S2000's. :)

Gran Turismo has had a habit of doing this both right and wrong. For cars with smaller engines, they make a "realistic" amount of horsepower fully built. But turbos in this game must be really tiny. They add absurdly low amounts of horsepower more often than not. I'm not saying everything should have 1500 horse or so, but at least let certain cars get over 900. This isn't the early 2000s anymore, 1000 horsepower cars are common. I mean, we have SSR7. Let us go nuts on it.

I'm talking about in relation to you quoting me, hyperbel? you mean hyperbole right? You talked about nuclear jet engines in respect to you quoting me and I was saying those don't exist. Anyways it's whatever, I just wanted to see some actual reasoning on why 1000hp car tuning isn't needed.

First of all, it's a HYPERBOLE* second of all, that is not what your post was. It was a joke and it wasn't funny. Third, if you're going to use a literary device in attempting to sound smarter than you actually are, I suggest you spell it correctly first and learn it's proper usage.

You haven't read this thread have you?
Edit: well you're actually right toward the last part

German word is hyperbel, but I forgot that it's different in the english language, my bad.

First sentence of my second post where I quoted you was only referring to the first sentence of your post.

Thanks for your massive understanding of how incredibly easy it is to actually learn a second language...

Hyperbole kinda goes into the category of irony, but it's not the classic example of a joke.

Exactly. Everything has to be relative to the car

It's fine it happens, I just wanted to make sure I was getting what you were saying correctly, so thanks for clearing it up. And I guess that makes sense it what the exaggeration was in regards to.

I'm trilingual and English is my second language actually so...

Edit: I do apologize if I've come across as rude. It's been a long day and I'm tired.

German, english, french in my case.
I don't live in an english speaking country, so it's really not such a big deal if I confuse a relatively uncommon german word with a relatively uncommon english word that sounds nearly the same.

What's your point this time? Bet I could find tons of mistakes in posts you've made so far? That's not the point.
You're just picking on me now.

Oh and  for you too. EDIT: It's all good now.

I understand. Read the edit in my last post.
P.s. I don't think there are any.

Look, I'd like to have cars with more power in GT6.

I found the numbers to be a little too low in GT5. I'd like to see certain cars go above 1000, others even above 1500, but I don't really need cars with 2000 hp of similar. Maybe if we'd get a real drag mode, then I'd like to see drag cars or dedicated drag tuning for regular cars.

It really is all relative. I just don't like how people mention extremely tuned supras running at 60psi or so and then think that's reasonable.
Reasonable in comparison to other cars. Tons of cars that would go just as high as a Supra with the same amount of tuning. At the end it's just a 3l, not huge actually.

Anyway, I actually found the Stage 4 and 5 turbos to be pretty good. I am disappointed that we won't get them.
I'd just like to see something that improves it on a broader spectrum, something all cars profitate from.

I did, thanks.

Also partly my fault, it's not always easy to talk to me.

So we agree then. Cause I want the same thing.

That was sarcasm, though it is possible. I just want realistic tunning set ups all around. Even a push-rod suspension tuning option would be nice.
About suspension, transmissions, etc, we don't even have to talk. I'm all for it!

Heck, I wouldn't even mind if they gave us active suspensions. Then people would spend weeks only to adjust the program to the specific tracks.

Do you guys think this sort of realistic tuning would be difficult to employ in GT?

First thing that needs to be tackled is the physics before they do it, if they don't do that right people will have more stuff to find issue with. Also if fixing sounds is this big of an issue, then this might as well.

From the gameplay members with the game have posted, the physics have been fixed.
