Glad were getting this track. Definitely a pleasant surprise. I dont need it to be in 4k resolution and absolutely life like. The track has good flow and tricky off camber turns with great elevation change. Im sure I wont notice those "2d trees" while Im racing at over 100mph with friends. Some will.

You dont have to be a "PD worshiper" to appreciate his work and the content in the game like new tracks. You dont have to bring up the same continuing arguments and complaints in every new thread either. All of us know the game has issues. It doesnt have a livery editor, or every customization other series offer. Generally speaking that has nothing to do with getting a new track.

It seems like certain individuals have to keep their persona up in every discussion. Its a little stale seeing the same Avatars and usernames do little to show appreciation but are among the first to point out flaws. The pessimism brings the threads down. It makes them unenjoyable to read. You dont have to sing praises to everything pd does, but you also dont need the cynics who have to keep up their 'rep'.

Completely out of the blue and great news for only those that can see it.

You bet I am! I can not believe a track from Grid 2 is coming to GT6! I'm incredibly happy we're getting a fresh new track!! When it comes to tracks, I'll never complain. Ever.

Great, glad to see you finally excited and positive about something that's coming to the game. 👍 Its been a while for me too to truly get excited about an addition to the game, I know how you feel. :) Kinda makes you forget all about that ugly ass car, now don't it?

Seeing you two being excited again is almost bigger news than the track itself. 👍

I'm also very excited about the A1 Ring. Don't even remember when I drove it last time in any game. Definitely has been a while. Now let's hope it is released soon so we can squeeze it in the upcoming online series.

Cheers

So.. aaanyway..

According to the suggestions thread, this was the 73rd most liked track. Can you imagine if PD had actually given us a popular track!!!

That is more of a coincidence though. It is a (very welcome) marketing stunt as F1 is returning to the A1 Ring this weekend. With the close ties between Red Bull and GT6 it is a great marketing opportunity.

I would like to see further red bull update where Vettel challenge is replaced with Ricciardo races

That is just mean.

Trailer is on.

featuring the renowned Formula One circuit in Spielberg, Austria is finally with us. The Red Bull Ring is an ultra-high speed track and is now open to gamers around the globe following its virtual rendering.

A week from now Formula One racing returns to the legendary track for the first time in eleven years. Those tricky corners will not only challenge Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo, but also GT6 racers who are now invited to set the pace. The update includes the Austrian Grand Prix circuit as well as offering both a full course layout and short course options.

So we can't critique anything until we've seen it all now? I've seen some screenshots just as you did and commented on what I saw, what is the problem with that? Considering the way this community inspects most screenshots and releases of details in minute details I find it amazing with full screenshots I'm not allowed to make a judgement on what I see.

If I drive the whole track in game and notice the poor textures around the whole track I'll probably mention it again, if I see good textures I'll note that I jumped the gun and it's actually pretty good.

Also, I remind you I freaking acknowledged it's a PS3 game and noted that I hope they improve them on PS4. I never once said "OMG PD, YOU SHOULD IMPROVE THOSE AWFUL TEXTURES RIGHT NOW OR I'LL NEVER DRIVE THE TRACK, YOU SUCK". All I said was this:

Which I don't think was wrong or 'moaning'. But obviously because it's me saying it everyone jumps on me. It's just like the 80s Senna tracks all over again. I said I was disappointed in the hybrid modern/80s layouts and everyone attacked me for it. Then amar came along and said he agreed with me and everyone shut up, they didn't attack him as well.

You may just be messing but again, please tell me how my original post on this matter was whining or crying. Factually speaking the textures in that photo are average. I then said something that belongs in a wishlist if anything, followed finally by a point that nobody is likely to confuse it with reality. Which they're not.

So again, where was the whining or crying?
Guys, I don't know how many posts I've seen poor samus have to make like this where he has had to defend himself for posting his beliefs, this isn't fair :(

Well, that pretty much confirms that its in, can't wait to try it after the fun I had with it in Grid 2 (Before that started collecting dust).

Also people, how about we stop machine-gunning the hell out of Samus? He's expressing his opinion, sorry it doesn't line-up with your rosso red lenses with Corsa red frames but its his opinion and he's as equally entitled to it as everyone else is.

Maybe, we don't know...

I say maybe purely for the fact this is PD, and they could just give us 1, you never know, companies have been wrong before.

Love the Austrian Connection that's going with all the PR for the track with Red Bull obviously being based in Austria as well as KTM.

I didn't realize we could start downloading yet?
EDIT: I lied, I found it lol. download took a minute, installing will be slow though
