Ah sorry, I didn't realise that when something came as a surprise it was exempt from review or criticism. I will continue to post what I like in line with the AUP and if you don't like it, frankly I don't care. Ignore me.

Also can I just point out I didn't completely dismiss this track. I started out by saying it was good to see new track DLC in the game and potentially free. People were then talking about whether it was GT6 and I simply said you could see it was because the textures were pretty poor, a theme of a lot of their tracks. It was a simple observation along with a qualifier that I hope things are greatly improved on PS4.

But of course the vultures will be vultures round here.

Who gave you the position of what people can and cannot say? is ridiculous, criticism is in some cases necessary (specially in GT6 sections where there is only PD wank).

Apply your own advice then (dont tell me what to say) :) Criticism is in some cases necessary - thats exactly what I did - criticise the criticism. :sly:
Bash PD for the sounds not being updated for example, but to bash them when they do some good job? Errm....

You have seen only a couple of screenshots (not even seen the track in the PS3 and playing it) and you already started to bash the textures and all that stuff... well, no comments.
Also, I remind you its a PS3 game after all, forget about perfect graphics of a high-end PC.

Just to add what the other people have been saying, I honestly don't have a problem when someone has something to critique about. To me, it means that there's still people that believe that the series still has a shot at improving.


Anyway; Hmmmm, I bet this course will be the perfect test track for my redbull x2014 fan car that I for some reason haven't tried yet.

So we can't critique anything until we've seen it all now? I've seen some screenshots just as you did and commented on what I saw, what is the problem with that? Considering the way this community inspects most screenshots and releases of details in minute details I find it amazing with full screenshots I'm not allowed to make a judgement on what I see.

If I drive the whole track in game and notice the poor textures around the whole track I'll probably mention it again, if I see good textures I'll note that I jumped the gun and it's actually pretty good.

Also, I remind you I freaking acknowledged it's a PS3 game and noted that I hope they improve them on PS4. I never once said "OMG PD, YOU SHOULD IMPROVE THOSE AWFUL TEXTURES RIGHT NOW OR I'LL NEVER DRIVE THE TRACK, YOU SUCK". All I said was this:

You can see it's GT graphics because of the distinctly average texture work, as usual. I really hope they make great strides in that area on PS4 and don't throw all the details into the cars again.

Which I don't think was wrong or 'moaning'. But obviously because it's me saying it everyone jumps on me. It's just like the 80s Senna tracks all over again. I said I was disappointed in the hybrid modern/80s layouts and everyone attacked me for it. Then amar came along and said he agreed with me and everyone shut up, they didn't attack him as well.

You may just be messing but again, please tell me how my original post on this matter was whining or crying. Factually speaking the textures in that photo are average. I then said something that belongs in a wishlist if anything, followed finally by a point that nobody is likely to confuse it with reality. Which they're not.

So again, where was the whining or crying?

the A1 Ring configuration and the F1 races there were boring, it is not one of Hermann Tilke 's better works.

This may surprise you @NixxxoN but I don't find negatives in things for the fun of if, I can't help it if PD keep throwing them at me. If the tracks in the Senna content were 100% 80s I'd have had no complaints. If the textures here didn't stand out to me as poor I'd have no complaints. It's not like I opened the article and thought to myself "Right, what can I find to complain about". I looked at the article and those were my impressions.

@ColouredBadger always amusing when someone resorts to funny pictures as a response , tells me they have no actual retort to the point.

No. First amar has to come into the thread and agree with everything you said with the caveat that you maybe should have worded it differently.


Only then will people pretend that the circle jerking sidetrack never happened.

This is one of Ole Herm's best tracks... would you honestly rather have Abu Dahbi?

On it's own merit's it's certainly not too bad a track but in comparison to the original track it certainly did feel like a bit of bastardisation. To answer your question though yes, I'd certainly prefer an 'older' track like this than most of the modern Tilkedromes.
 
You know, even though I myself feel like most of @Samus 's posts are negative, why can't you guys just take it for what it is, his opinion, and ignore it if it bothers you that much. 💡 Its obvious you're not going to change his mind so just let him to his opinion and forget about it. Just a suggestion. 👍

@Samus You are annoying at times there mate :lol:, but even I am able to ignore you for the most part. :sly: You do have to expect at least a bit of negativity towards your posts when you post negative opinions about a game whose forum you're on...GT Fan site. It would do some good if you too just ignored those such people instead of engaging in arguments with them. There is a difference between an argument and a discussion and what I see here is just pointless arguing. That too is just a suggestion. 👍 :lol:
