How much do y'all think the track will cost? I doubt it's free because PD ain't that generous.

PD have been making content free since they started releasing them on GT6 so I dont see why this would be one to pay for

Please don't bite my head off but this track looks a little bland!? Gonna watch a YouTube clip, see if it changes my thoughts...
It doesn't look like the most exciting layout to me either.
Looking forward to trying it out anyway. Haven't run across a track yet I didn't have grow on me enough to like it. :)

Updates are just that..updates. A track takes months of work to complete, and historically there has been no free track DLC(notice that 80s Monza and BH are extremely similar to their modern counterparts). Most of the free content has only been cars and events, which are easier to model.

Wow, just saw the news about the Red Bull ring. All i can say hats off PD.
Loving the track. And it will be in GT6. This is mega for me

It depends on who is pushing the content. If it's PD/Sony, they will probably want to make a buck. But if it's a manufacturer/company taking the initiative, it could become free content in order to provide maximum exposure for their product. Take the GT86 and Scion FRS in GT5 for example: they were free downloads because Toyota probably sponsored the content or forcefully persuaded PD to offer it as such. They wanted to get the maximum number of GT players driving it as it was marketing for their new car.

If Red Bull is the driving force behind this new content, it could well be free.

I really hope this track does not get Zaharafied.

It looks really cool though. Thanks PD, I really hope you can pull this one off. It will make me turn on GT6 again.

Glad were getting this track. Definitely a pleasant surprise. I dont need it to be in 4k resolution and absolutely life like. The track has good flow and tricky off camber turns with great elevation change. Im sure I wont notice those "2d trees" while Im racing at over 100mph with friends. Some will.

You dont have to be a "PD worshiper" to appreciate his work and the content in the game like new tracks. You dont have to bring up the same continuing arguments and complaints in every new thread either. All of us know the game has issues. It doesnt have a livery editor, or every customization other series offer. Generally speaking that has nothing to do with getting a new track.

It seems like certain individuals have to keep their persona up in every discussion. Its a little stale seeing the same Avatars and usernames do little to show appreciation but are among the first to point out flaws. The pessimism brings the threads down. It makes them unenjoyable to read. You dont have to sing praises to everything pd does, but you also dont need the cynics who have to keep up their 'rep'.
Well said Trust.

I am know I am not the most positive person on these threads. Frankly though, the negativity towards PD just keeps coming to me.

I really want to praise and love GT the way I used to. This Track (provided they pull it off) is a start in the right direction.

Thanks Kaz.👍

That would be a first, I hope it IS.

Guys stop jumping on @Samus. Let him share his thoughts about how he feels about the new track. If he feels the track's quality and texture aren't too good or it bothers him, let him speak it out. Nothing wrong with one expressing their opinion.

Continue and grumpyToko is coming back. :mischievous:

The seven Toko's were having a bath, and they were all feeling grumpy. So grumpy hopped out.

Well I never , that was out of the blue...but scratch that make with the advertised updates first pd jeez ....but I am surprised

Samus, I think you should stop whinning (EVEN WHEN PD PULLS A NICE SURPRISE FOR US OUT OF NOWHERE). GTPlanet would be a little better place then. Just my thoughts.
It's spelled "winning" and tracks aren't supposed to be a surprise. In case you forgot, this is a driving/racing game, we're supposed to get track DLC.

He's allowed to state his opinion as long as it's within AUP. You, and anyone else that doesn't like seeing his posts can choose to use the ignore feature.
I know... the problem is, non-members of GTplanet (all the rest of internet basically) can't use the ignore feature, so they are condemned to see these kind of posts. So I thought, maybe I should try to give him some suggestion

Sorry, I meant "whining".
And, what? "This is a racing game, we're supposed to get track DLC" no we're not, its only because PD wants to do so, they arent forced to...

Super excited for Red Bull Ring! The DRS zones in the video made me think;

Do people have specific "nitrous zones" when they race against others in GT? Seems like it could be an awesome addition to organized races.

Perhaps you should take this up with Samus via PM? It's quite off topic.

An opinion isn't a problem. If people don't like seeing criticism and differing opinions, they shouldn't be on the internet.

Who gave you the position of what people can and cannot say? is ridiculous, criticism is in some cases necessary (specially in GT6 sections where there is only PD wank). The game is far from perfect, and even new introduced features does not mean an automatically forgiveness for them, neither it means ignoring the flaws in such features, non members of GT planet have the advantage of thinking twice and look things with a different outlook than "PD just won".

The game was advertised with certain features that are to be added and must be added, aside tracks the game lack features that even GT5 had, even content (photomode locations, B-spec), so yeah, they are forced to because they advertised the game with monthly track updates, they advertised the game with VGT cars, they advertised the game with track creator and they advertised the game with social features.
