First of all, sorry for the mid-race typing, I didn't realize it was such a big deal.

Secondly, for the brief moment I was in the room I watched how you guys tackled the chicanes. There was corner cutting from EVERYONE, including IP, on almost every lap too.

And last, but not least, chill out guys, there is a seriously frosty tone between you now, and I dont get why.👍

I have watch the replay and we dont really have cut the corners because this are cerbs, on the first chicane i was full on the both cerbs and thats ok and on the corners its was also full cerb for me cutting is when we have 4 tyres on the grass but 4 on the cerb on this track is ok, its incredible difficult to say on this track this is cutting or not

all i have to say about ascari is ,
i didn't want to participate because of these silly chicanes ...
when i entered raceroom and arty told me pace was 28.8 i laughed , because i knew they had to cut to be so fast.
now another thing ... cutting the chicanes with concrete is something but cutting the next chicane(big kerb and grass) before the right left turn at the end of the lap , that shocked me (bigcuts , every lap )... we need to have one steward or penalties...

i'm ok to get disqualified of the race ... i cut because the people in front of me did it , now if chris or ayrton get the win i'm happy ... and also i think , you can't be race director and racing at the same time !

see you at motegi :)

you see when you only lose time in s1 and s3 ^^

I tried my best not to cut, I realized by lap 23ish that I didn't have the concentration levels required so I parked up.

In the few laps I watched Immortal in the race, he toned down the cutting he did in qualifying (1.27.3 - and I came across him during that lap at the beginning of the last sector until the left hander onto the start-finish curve and saw it at first hand) but this is the reason I asked for clarification in practice on the rules - and received the reply in front of most of you: no wheels on grass.

Mainly I watched the fantastic Evo and Aug battle, the composure under pressure and concentration levels were immense - only in the last laps - when Evo looked like he might run out of fuel and Aug might run out of tyres because he pit a lap or two earlier - did a couple of mistakes creep in. Fun to watch!

On board with the four leading drivers, I saw a lot of bad backmarker behavior - you don't have to do an Arty and pull off line and slow down - but to not lift into a slow corner and let the lead drivers pass is just daft - especially because the ones I saw weren't in close racing formation...

I don't have a driver of the day, but an unlucky driver of the day - Nik - winning the practice race and then stuffing up the real thing... I've done that twice this season already, glad it was someone else!

I knew i would be racing aughablo later in the race, we both had costly mistakes sadly so no perfect race for us. First time i've went off and my rival also did seconds later, we actually raced back to the track from the grass:lol:

Yeah I think the lesson learned here, is that you don't put this track on a scedule at all in any car this fast. It's just too inviting to cut.

This track is a brilliant challenge, loved it in Lotus F1, I like it a lot on a calendar, It's up to the drivers to be clean like we did in FGTA F1 series...

Because he sets the rules in this series, and i can't find any specific penalties for each offence. That's why he need to take a decision and maybe enforce a solid penalty system.
Were using the old ( as in Ancient Rome or Egypt) Formula GT series rules from 2011 if I remember. Actually, it meant that you could have atleast 2 wheels on a hard surface (the kerbs counted as hard surface.) Meaning the grass would be totally ok as long as all 4 wheels weren't on grass. That said if you have 4 wheels on grass (like I did at times.) You are in bigger trouble than with the stewards. Like in trouble with that tree that's rapidly coming into view.

I think Ascari has a natural line to it that leads slightly off track. Monza has speed bumps that prevent this.

lol, 9 alerts when I logged on.

Yeah for sure it's a great track but it could do with some nice sized speed bumps in places. 10 laps around there has as much work as 70 of Midfield. Anyway, on to the next 75 mins of sweat and adrenalin.

It is not all about the curbs, because the chicanes were concrete, the idea was people would not take them properly so the clarification meant no grass because you're already cutting by going on concrete...

As for the curbs - going in a straight line across a quick right and left section of track is just abuse - Ascari has an unusual character, some of the curbs are unlike any other track, they are there as absolute track limits - in some WRS events this has been highlighted and was clarified in the pre-race practice session...

What I don't quite understand, as you said, how people don't have more problems controlling the car when full throttle on or across the grass... when I touch the grass my car loses adhesion sharp!

There was a WRS event a long time ago (when GT6 was new) on Ascari. the white line was the limit that time, half of the field got DQ'd. just saying.

I dont know whats going on about the last race or what you all are thinking, but I thought it would be interesting at Motegi to have a night or evening race as time change is available. It doesn't have to be middle of the night, just evening or something. The track itself is kinda boring but time change could spice it up a bit.

We've all just moved on from the last race I think.

It would be interesting to have a race at dusk maybe or slightly later.

So long as people respect the rules going forward, then we can move on... I like to think behind the fierce rivalry we are friends who enjoy racing and challenging each other and can race as gentlemen aught to, fairly!

Weider who are you? What is your PS name? I haven't a clue who you are when on track, lol.

Oh and post the time settings for the race as soon as possible.

You are Arty, just seen it at the bottom of your page. Always read the small print, haha.

How about a wet race at some stage? The weather dynamics are very good now and I would like to get a go at it.

Don't be afraid. It's just the same as driving in the dry but with less grip and less visibility, haha.
Rain was ok before, but now that it becomes ridiculously slippery (i.e. realistic) and you have to change lines and such, I just know I'll make tons of mistakes (more than I already do).
I'm not afraid, I'm terrified!:scared:

I can't race tonight either :( I'm working on my thesis atm and I have an interview tomorrow on it so I can't afford to lose a couple of hours tonight :(

Gutted because I had good pace here in practice last week but real life has to come first I suppose
