Red-Zone Autoworks (Demonstration Car now out!)

Review:Spoon Teggy
The good) overall good balance. This thing stayed in the sweet spot. Turn in with alittle of understeer. Love how this thing reved. This car loved 3rd and up.

The bad) this car like's one line on the track. It will bite your head off, if you don't take that line. 2nd gear above 8,000. I found that leaveing it in 3rd was better.

Overall I like the car and will keep this car the my game garage.

N4HS: Does it make you feel insecure that you can be beaten by something with less than the displacement of a milk jug?

Because otherwise, there's no reason to stay away from rotaries.

I can't be beaten by a rotary, what are you on about?:odd: Plus the sound they make is disgusting.

that leaves..,

Excuse me...I mustn't have introduced myself...Im dimplz most people no me from Aussie Tuners or friendly talks wit RJ or Mafs but I know how to handle a car and tune them...so i may need to be added to that list?

oh i'm very sorry Mr. dimplz.., i completely forgot the founder of Aussie Tuners.., i apologize.,

to all you guys, sorry i missed out 1 day of logging in to GTP, because i had my graduation yesterday.., yes, this coming schoolyear i am now in college.., but for this summer vacation, all my focus is on TTL, i assure you of that.., 👍

just like in TCv3.., VTiRoj and Mafs planned to use the same car..,
:odd: ???? When and where?!?! The only thing is common with our cars is they're both Mitsu's and they're both 4WD turbo's. His is an Evo Lancer where I've got the CZ-3. ;) And for RWD it's another Honda v Nissan battle. :D

i've been wanting to post my FC, it's ready now.., i just need a review from my FD or Sil-Eighty.., anyone want to try?? :)
I'll put it on the list of crap I have to do tonight after El Capitan Enduro.

This car likes to DRIFT so much. It does nothing but DRIFT. It has the word DRIFT all over it. It look COOL when it DRIFTS. All it needs is a COOL driver for this car to DRIFT. How to become COOL, you ask? Simple: just dye your hair blue, wear a blue polo shirt, white polo jacket, white pants and white shoes. Almost forgot, do the math.., 👍

i have blue balck hair...that means im cool...cause im in the sun...its bright blue

I then bestow this title on you for your pride in your blue hair..............AUSSIE SMURF!!

*music* I slam on the throttle, and decieve myself. *music*

Suddenly, I really want to watch some reruns.

I did test the Evo V, and I must side with RJ on the verdict: With the tune, the car has a different attitude, not helping or hurting anything very much. Not to mention, I was also left wondering how much better it would be if you were able to play with bound and rebound settings seperately. That said, I do find it a very pleasant car to drive, with good off-throttle... well, technically it's understeer. Honestly, the off-throttle maneuver this car enjoys is similar to a good FF on-throttle, the way its nose tugs towards the inside, but the rear stays planted. It's very nifty to find, off-throttle in a car with 4WD and lots of potential. Also, I tested it with and without LSD, and, as I expected, it was a bit more niimble without LSD. However, at low-speed corners, where there is enough thrust to actually see what's what, the inside tire spun :odd:. That's not a smiley I use lightly, mind you, and leaving it with stock settings would have been a bad idea, indeed. But, did you try buying the AYC at all? Regardless of how good a chassis is, a 4WD system with Yaw movement will give huge improvements, escpecially with the understeery, wheelspin-is-death GT4 physics.

Overall a good tune, though, and very easy on the credits. I like it, even if it doesn't have AYC on it. Regardless, I'll probably buy one and see how it works out.

EDIT: Sorry, I need to get some sleep. I totally forgot I'd just made another post. I've edited the contents of this post into the previous one. Moderator: Please delete this post.

Little from column A, little from column B. :P jk.

So, you want either the FD or Sileighty done.......hmmm. I'll go the FD, I have a Spirit R tucked in a memory card somewhere. I'll give you a challenge to tune something later for me, see if you can fix something up that's niggling me. ;)

actually, any car would do.., but if you want to, go ahead with the FD..,

sure, do you want circuit or touge tune on your car??

Not much tuning has been done with this car, just refinement and added power. The 5-speed transmission is still there but has shortened ratios, a 1.5-way LSD has been fitted for reliable traction, the exhaust and flywheel have been matched to maintain torque in the low-RPM ranges, which is pretty much needed in touges. We like this car very much, and it is a lot of fun driving it, considering the simple parts and tuning it only has but a huge increase in performance. enjoy..,

Greetings!!! I tested your Evo5 on Grand Valley Speedway and I found that this car is great!!! Its very easy to drive and is responsive to throttle inputs. It seems to be a good car for beginners to drive but personally I was happy to drive something close to stock that didnt really feel slow.I ask myself if this car shouldnt have been what the stock Evo5 is in the game??I had reservations about the brakes but they work just fine.I like the fact that the car retains its stock wing...something about an Evo5 just looks so menacing. All in all,a very good car,my only reservation is this.....it could easily use some more power....a Stage 1 or Stage 2 Turbo should do the trick but then I suppose the gearbox would have to be adjusted accordingly....Great car tho!!! Im keeping this one in my garage for sure!!!!

i have my reasons for not meeting your "reservations":

1st and foremost: this car has a touge tune in it (hence the name of this garage
2nd: more power in a car on a touge race = 👎
3rd: as much as possible, i try to avoid Race-Spec parts (i.e. RC Tranny and LSD)

glad you liked it.., now would like a car of yours tuned??

oh really?? wait till you see my demonstration car (see 1st post)..,

(you know, it's not polite to brag about your garage in other's tuner garages.., :irked:)

[/brag]
EDIT: Now I feel bad. Sorry for being an ass. how about this, We'll be in a friendly rivalry. We'll see who's better on each front.

Certainly!! I just have to decide which one...Ill PM you when I decide...and thanks!!!!

Nice, a Touge garage! Have fun.:)

Oh and you might enjoy to test my initial D inspired Scooby ver. 6 Coupe R, to be found in the main post of the RCV thread. I will do a review of one of your cars in return.;)

1990 Mazda RX-7 GT-X (FC, J) Drifter:

Decently able to knock the tail out, but likes to transition between countersteer being ineffective (tail keeps going faster than the nose no matter what) and countersteer being too effective (snapback).

So I took a look at the setup... Rear being softer than the front on an FC=oversteer, but it likes to KEEP sliding.... Inverted to 8.5 front, 10.0 rear. Toe out? Don't need it or want it on a drift car, as we want traction to break and THEN have the car slide, not the opposite. Zeroed.

Result? Takes more to start a drift, but can get sideways at higher speeds, is easier to drive, and winds up very, very fun. A brake balance controller to help it slow down quicker and allow it to turn-in under brakes would be beneficial, as would possibly a proper FC gearbox with well-matched ratios.

Drift man I'm ready for a tune?

that'd be Touge Man.., sure, any car you like and i will have it tuned the way you like it..,

@ Vince247 - thanks.., i would love to test your Impreza Coupe R, just need to fetch one.., in turn, would you review my soon-to-release Impreza 22B??

@ RJ - i have my own reasons for not using brake balance and FC tranny.., 👍

It's the one I'm working on! I'll pm the tune and everything! Having Trouble with lsd and trans. Pretty much need a baseline to work with!

Hmm, sometimes I'm unsure of whether adding toe to some of your cars is really necessary; it seems to conceal how well-tuned the suspension is in a similar manner to a mismatched LSD. Just my two cents.

the other garages here also use toe, especially MFT.., what's your problem?? all right, so i'm not that good of a driver and tuner, because i only use a DS2, not unlike you guys who use force feedback wheels so that you could have a better feel of the car..,

The special edition of the GC Impreza, this "Premium Sport Coupe" has a distinct and unique feature: an aero body kit similar to that of the '99 Impreza WRC. Some even say that this car is the street version of the '99 Impreza WRC itself. We wanted this car to almost feel like its WRC counterpart, and at the same time it feels like a touge racer. For the WRC part, racing-spec suspension, LSD and transmission were fitted and tuned to suit any type of race: circuit, touge or off-road rally. For the touge racer part, mods to increase engine output were performed. If you want to go rallying, just slap on some off-road tires.., 👍

Don't let him get to you man. it's you tunes and you time put in to it. Who care's a lot of fast people use controllers.
