Red-Zone Autoworks (Demonstration Car now out!)

V8 = 2(L4)

As much as I like 4-cylinder cars, I must admit that V8s are basically better. That said, 6-cylinders are best! Though, that Cizeta's V16 engine holds a special place in my heart. :dopey:

Back to business, though: I just used your Mugen S2000 to crack one race (at 200points, no less) that I've not been able to beat in at least 60 tries involving NSXs tuned by garages here, lightweight cars on racing tyres, and extremely powerful WRC cars. The hard difficulty Citta Di Aria race in the forward direction is insanely hard, but, with your incredible S2000, I beat it with 200 points and very clean driving. I ended up getting past by intimidating the AI racer! I guess a 355hp French hatchback just can't stand up to your masterpiece, and melts after it sees it filling its rearview mirror for only one lap. I haven't tested how well it grips on less than S3 tyres, but I hope it works as well!

i agree, either a L6 or V6 is better than the two.., 👍

But better acceleration due to lighter weight......that's all that matters. ;) Power to Weight, a V8's worst enemy. :D

AND better launch off the line too, so the V8 has some catching up to do..,

L4 - lightweight, very agile, dominates in cornering but is slower than V8 due to obvious reasons.., ;)

V8 - has twice as much cylinders as L4, stunning acceleration, king of the straights but is heavier and less agile compared to L4..,

i think that's a fair enough fight.., i'm trying to limit the HP increase on the two engine types, for the V8 to not have increased wheelspin when pulling away from corners, and for the L4 so that the V8 can catch up in the straights.., so yeah, i'm making this a really fair fight.., 👍

Every engine has its advantages and and disadvantages. Its up to the car that they're sat in on how they use them. So by saying one engine is more agile is than the other, isn't quite correct. The L4 could be a base model Vectra, and the V8 could be a F1 car. Now who's more agile? ;)

That said, I cant wait for the L4 vs V8 pair you got coming, =drifting24/7=. :D

PS. V6 rocks, slowpokes. :P

Also let me just say...

YAY I GOT CUSTOM MEMBER TITLE! :D

We shall see Roj. Personally I think you'll bow before 6 straight cylinders of rock hard Toyota block blowing it's boost all over you. :P:lol:

P.S. drifting, are both cars from the same country??

I'll bow over laughing at all that power being converted into smoke pouring off the rear wheels. ;)

That's it. You, me, spot race challenge, now.

Poptart v Fatboy on Le Sarthe II. :mischievous: Watch the Supra smoke up a better time than your NSX can buzz!! :D

(continue this in SRC thread!!) 👍

am i missing something? aren't just talking about sports cars here??

still testing a few more cars to finalize the roster though, i'll finihs it as soon as i can..,

yeah, V6 rules..,

hey, how do you get that?? i want custom member title.., :dopey:

well, not really.., most L4's are from Japan and most of the V8's are from America, and some mixture of European cars from both sides.., so, this should turn to be interesting.., 👍

He easily passes both looking at his profile (670 odd posts, since July 07).

Go to My GTPlanet, and you'll be able to change your user title drifting. :)

:P

*edit - almost forgot, gotta edit first page to include the Supra and Accord.., be back in a jiffy.., ;)

*edit 2 - there, finished!!

Hahaha, nice one. But... Aren't the two about the same? They both take most of your time, they're both addictive... :D

Fix'd.

and those two give you an adrenaline rush..,

I've been waiting for that Euro R :) Are you going to release a similar package for the new Accord as well?

IDK.., this older Accord is better IMO, so maybe i won't be releasing the newer one..,

*edit - (looks carefully at Mafs' post) heeeey, what do you mean by 670 odd posts?? :irked::D

I'm not going into V8 vs L4 debate here, both have advantages that the other will not match. But PWR Mafs? Try torque:weight, which is all that matters, which V8 wins with in a straight line. And traction? Some L4s have so much turbo lag the V8 will catch up within 2sec.:P

The Mustang has been part of the American automotive history since its first release. Since then, numerous Mustang models have been made as joint projects by Ford and Shelby. This current model maybe somewhat "weaker" than its predecessors, but it does not fail to give out that intimidating presence when challenged to a race. You've been warned.

I got a few hours to kill so I'm testing both the Mustang and the Evo GT-A (Took forever to find one in the used car lot, I finally found one in baby-poop yellow) and comparing them on Citta 'di Aria. Should have results later tonight or tomorrow.

Results are suprising so far.:confused::eek:

MR2 vs. GT350R should be interesting.....
