Because I've just bought a wheel having DS3'd forever up until now, so practice as in practice with the wheel, rather than practice on the track. I know the track quite well anyway but it's not that which I need, it's to not be a total n00b with a steering wheel..... 💡

I'm really curious to see what you can do once you get used to your wheel. How do you like the CSR so far?

Now, when I have bought the complete "DLC"-pack on my main-account (not my GTP-account), and discovers that it is ONLY available to that account, I am now reluctant to have to buy the DLC once again for my GTP-account..

This has definitely made me reconsider my initial vote, in favor of a 'No'...
And I think this will most likely re-open the discussion of the need/wish for the participants to use a 'GTP'-account for WRS!?

Source: By experience. I bought the complete pack about 2 hours ago... Just to find it is only available for the account used to buy it..!

And yes... I also think this was unexpected, and not a clever thing to do..!

Wow, that is pretty lame.

Fortunately for me I pretty much abandoned my "main" account now though and my GTP one is all I ever use for GT5, so I'll install it there...but this sucks for people that use multiple accounts on the same machine - it should at least work for all your local accounts.

If I buy DLC I'll buy it on my main account and I won't be buying it on GTP_ account.
I initially voted Yes but I didn't know PD will be this lame.

That discussion was never really "open".

There were just a bunch of people moaning and complaining about it. But our stance is the same as always - You need a tag if you want to participate. If you don't want to get a tag and start a second account, don't participate.

Regarding DLC, with the overwhelming yes vote, and the number of people who use their GTP account as their main account for GT5, I'm inclined to believe that we'll have a few people who will be upset, but the overall sentiment to run an event at Spa almost certainly remains the same.

Going down that road for the first time, on my GTP account as I don't really use my main account anymore. Having Platinum there

Another disappointing thing is you can't even dupe the paints, suits and cars to your main account

Otherwise I would have bought it on my main account and would've never been able to run a WRS there.

This is definitely a pain and not what I (or anyone, i imagine) expected. I had planned to get the complete set just because if you want the cars as well as the track there seemed no reason not to. I have no interest in the gear and paint though so I'll get the track on my GTP account and think about getting the cars on my main one.

I can't imagine that Spa would be introduced into the main career mode of the game so I don't see any real downside to just getting it on my GTP account.

If it turns out that this decision was forced on PD by the way DLC works I may consider getting the full pack on my main account too, otherwise no.

Based on having to buy DLC twice , my vote was a yes it would now be a no.

Only having just started WRS the gtp one is my sub account. I will only buy DLC for my main.

My GTP account is my main account anyway so my vote remains the same. Just run Spa for the first time in a Peugeot 908 LMP.... Ooh I love this track.

Yes, at this point, people are going to vote with their participation, or lack of. I'll take the risk of low participation.

I'm only irritated that not only do we have these limitations, which don't come as much of a surprise, but now we are a week behind everyone else for some undefined reason.

I suspect they mistakenly put more in our update than intended, and they would rather market it as a bonus for our wait, than have the rest of the world pissed off that we got more than they did.

But as I only play GT in my GTP account it's not a big issue for me, although I feel for the guys who have multiple accounts...

This should really be connected to the PS3 you've bought it on (although it should be transferable if you get a new PS3).

I will not buy multiple copies of a DLC, also on principle. I don't know yet if I even can buy it on my GTP_ account since I don't think a single thing I entered on the account creation is real (think I used my cat's name and birthday). This is not a rant though, I don't want my vote to stop the WRS from having a Spa event for those who do get the DLC. Hopefully I can run the 3d3 race online afterwards if someone will let me practice in their lounge.

If I recall, DLC prices are usually decided by the publisher (Sony) and not the developer(PD).

Look guys, I don't mean to be totally dismissive of the ill-feeling about this - I partially agree in principle and its true that they will milk us at every opportunity but that fact is the track is cheap and if you want to run two accounts with it, it isn't about to break the bank. As Kev said, alot of people end up running their GTP account as their main one. Mine started out as my main one, as it probably did for many folks who have been GTP members since before GT5 and for them its a no-brainer, obviously... but you've invested alot of time in another non-GTP account and insist that you aren't going to buy the DLC twice, just change the name of your non-GTP account to GTP_yourname in the PS3 XMB and don't login to PSN. Then your saved replay will still show your GTP tag... problem solved.

All of my Rock Band and GH songs were available not only on separate accounts, but I re-downloaded them for free with my account on a new PS3.
Neither can be done with this DLC.

Obviously duping and glitching is what they're trying to avoid, but I can't help but wonder why my pre-order bonus Mercedes can be used on any account on my PS3 and these cannot.

I'll probably still get the track, just nothing else of the DLC now.

Good news everyone! It worked to get the DLC for my gtp account so I'm still in for a Spa!

Now to decide if I should play around with my new toys or do some practice for 3d3 to stay sharp for the race tomorrow.
