It's becoming more and more clear ExoticMachines is a troll.
He continues to ask extremely basic questions about the game, even weeks after release.
Would be better to just stop replying, because it's no longer amusing to watch someone ask "how do I change cars"
Even if you are that incompetent, which is hard to believe, there comes a time when you have to stop asking for help and figure it out for yourself. Read the instructions on screen, hit buttons, figure it out.

Uncalled for. Do not refer to other members in this way again. 👎

I just bought this game a few days ago. I just think if this game was put together properly, new users would not have to figure things out, wing it, making guesses, watching many YouTube videos, search on Yahoo for countless hours on how to play this game correctly.

You'll note you're the only person in this thread having this level of difficulty with very simple parts of the game though. You are very much the minority, at least here. I'd argue that means the game was "put together" just fine.

My sister was over this weekend, and I let her loose on the game. Upgrades and things like that are over her head, but she easily found her way around the map. She understood which icons were race events (what with the trace of the route popping up as you hover over it). She could read the info at the bottom of the map screen explaining exactly what each button does. Quickly, she was setting routes to get to where she wanted to go. It's largely the same system as is used in other open-world driving games.

But how do I know which races to enter in order to Level in the Byron Bay Festival? I want to level up on the Byron Bay Festival. Maybe it does not matter which races you enter on the map and it will Level Up on your Byron Bay Festival. I am at Level 3 at the Byron Bay Festival and would like to Level Up more. So I guess I have to guess or wing it and pick any race on the map and hoping that will Level Up at the Byron Bay Festival.

I just loaded up the game to double-check some things. There's a clear bar showing how many fans you need to do another festival upgrade (or, indeed, open a new location). Highlighting a festival on the map even specifically mentions that "Garage services and Autoshow available".

See, you've already upgraded the festival twice. So you seemingly know the progression system. Keira and Warren combined explain just about everything in the game; are you listening to them?

Also don't double- or triple-post; please use the Edit or multi-quote features. 👍

Decided to make a basic GTP livery for the Baldwin Trophy Truck.

Sorry it's kinda hard to tell from a distance.

What does the word Troll mean anyway???

When someone asking for help, does that mean Troll? Or when someone throwing hatred comments at everyone on this forum mean Troll?
Perhaps English isn't your first language, but if you read my post correctly, that was the one part I didn't agree with; I don't think you're a troll.
The game is nowhere near this difficult to understand NOW because the more I read, the more I learn how to play this game. That is the whole purpose of technology creating something called a Forum. Again, if this game was better design, I would not have to joined this Forum to find answers and to be called a word "Troll".
The game is designed about as best it could be; most of it is explained early on or just common sense if you read the screen. You're not paying attention.
I am sure at some point when you first started playing Horizon 1, you had to do some research and ask some questions right. You didn't automatically knew everything about the game from Horizon 1 right? If I was playing from the beginning of Horizon 1, I would not ask so many stupid questions as I am now.
I did not. The game outlined it in the beginning as did Horizon 2 and this one.

The only questions I've ever had were on a specific races. There are some features, usually pertaining to the cars themselves or a location that have a undisclosed option, but you generally find those by exploring the game on your own.

How do you access someones store front? I can "subscribe" to people but how do I go back and view their vinyls, etc?

My 6-yo son, who's not a native English speaker, had no problem getting around this game without me telling anything. The game clearly labels every possible action at the bottom left of the screen. The only things I had to show him was how to change gearbox from manual to auto and difficulty from unbeatable to average. Then again, maybe kids are a lot quicker with these things. :P

Oh, and if you see some badly spelled bucket list events, those are his, not mine, really. :D

I hit 180mph in a stock reliant robin online because of :censored:hats, and the game taunts me more with the Mercedes A200 as a traffic car, one of my favorite vehicles from Gran Turismo, such a fun little car

I sort of just blew 4 million credits or so on 4 cars lol. 1 Ferrari F50, 1 360 challenge car, a atv thing off the auction ouse and 1 mercedes clk gtr or whatever the 2 million dollar one is
We all have these moments, I reckon...

Speaking of which: Got my HE collection completed. For now.

And boy. I guess it's a bit of a weakness that I always feel the need to upgrade a car to the top of its class. Because the S2 998 Ford GT is a monster. Even with an AWD swap. Not that it's not manageable. I was surprised by how easy it was to keep it on the road. I just can't handle the outright speed. My Aventador also manages 400+ kph, but the way that thing actually carries speed through corners is mental.

That aside: I'm now convinced that the credit bonus is a little lacklustre. On Goliath (only track fast enough to actually test the damn thing), I was making about 45k Credits extra due to the bonus (on a single lap). I'm getting just as much extra XP when going at it with an XP boost car. Which means two bonus wheelspins, at least at the moment. Dunno whether the XP required per level up increases later on. However, two bonus spins seem to average more than 45k - at least with the VIP bonus.

So, I conclude that, unless you're in it to complete the set, I'd say go for the BRZ for the XP bonus and the M4 for the skills bonus. They're the best grinding tools out of the bunch, or so I feel at the moment.

Ugh, I hate the BRZ! I just got the Jag HE for 500k from the auction house and was going to use that for XP grinding - is the BRZ much better? I've not got the chance to drive the Jag yet as I had to come off the game to sleep. :grumpy:

Just got all my festivals extended which the Goliath race is unlocked, cant wait to try it!

Well, they effectively do the same

I just vastly prefer the BRZ because it can be run in A-Class - that alone makes it preferable to me. If you're feeling cheeky, though, swap the Jag to AWD, create a "Rule Britannia" event and start with heavy rain. You'll absolutely destroy the AI, no matter what.

Nice one! Personally, I think it's the most enjoyable event I've played. Not that I've seen all other events, but I quite like the layout. Might be even better if there was another twisty bit here and there to break up the high speed sections, but it still feels like one of the few times a car can actually stretch its legs.

That and you don't have to race hyper aggressively. Having ten minutes or more makes it far more enjoyable to pass the field, compared to some two minute point-to-point affairs.

I sell all of my HE cars for pretty cheap, I think I may try to get the MG Metro HE, but besides that, they are all kinda boring, if I get the GT HE I'll end up keeping that probably though.

Saving up for Daytona Cobra coupe, got tired of waiting so bought CLK GTR, MC12, and an F1 to go with my F1 GT, Let the saving commence... again.

A "relaxed" festivals question. Is there a reason to level up a festival before expanding to a new location? Can you go back to a location to increase the level? Byron Bay is level two, my Outback is at 3.
Yeah, I don't play a lot.

Yeah, I don't play a lot.

All locations can be expanded to the maximum level. For leveling up your Bases, you just unlocked more events to do. Sometimes, you also get free cars or discounts to certain cars for each level increase. Other than that, there's no rush to expand; as you can go at your own pace.

Here's an interesting question, what's the most amount of collisions have you had in a single race? For me it was 397 in 10 laps of the Goliath race.

Sooooo, what the hell are we supposed to do with the skill points after having unlocked all perks? I have 400+ just collecting virtual dust

The only ones that are worth getting are the ''Earn triple Skills XP from the next 3 Campaign races'' and ''Earn double Credits from the next Exhibition event you complete'' and that's just 20 points. Perhaps ''Earn 30% extra Credits from your next championship'' is worthwhile too, if you're about to do a championship - 10 points for that.

All in all, that's 30 points in total. I still have 370 left.

:embarrassed:
