I would love to see an entire Australian Chrysler DLC. But failing that, just give me the VH Valiant Charger and I'll be happy.I really hope Australian Mopars get added in a DLC pack. Game set in Australia but has no Aussie Mopars?![]()
Credit given, no permission is required though, these are not real life photographs, therefore those that take them, do not own them in any way, Forza horizon 3 is the property of Microsoft Studios whom I am in a partnership with, re-using any assets by the community is allowed for promotional purposes.Well that's no beuno.

I do upload a lot of videos so things slip sometimes, be sure to hit me up with a message if you guys spot anything, thanks for informing me of the mistake![]()
Yep, that's the mistake I was referring to, legally it is allowed, but I don't want to be that guy, I'll be sure to inform everyone in the future. Thanks I guess?
Might not want to sound so much like a Dick though, you think you can have some common courtesy and atleast let someone know youre going to use their work.
Just out of curiosity, how would you feel if Microsoft pulled that move on you and used all your videos to generate profit for them and not yourself? I'm not assuming you make money on your videos - just wondering if you'd simply be happy that work you spent hours making was claimed by the next 'level up' and then generated income for that next level.Credit given, no permission is required though, these are not real life photographs, therefore those that take them, do not own them in any way, Forza horizon 3 is the property of Microsoft Studios whom I am in a partnership with, re-using any assets by the community is allowed for promotional purposes.

Microsoft has all the right to re-upload any videos I make from their games, they are legally the owner of the content therefore I cannot complain on the matter.Just out of curiosity, how would you feel if Microsoft pulled that move on you and used all your videos to generate profit for them and not yourself? The photographers in these games are insanely talented, it baffles me just how much effort people make to create some of these photos across the racing genre. Same goes for the livery editors who unfairly get their liveries unfairly stolen. It shouldn't be a defense that it's 'legal', it's legal to cut someone in line but it doesn't mean you should.
It does happen all too often, I've seen articles written by myself (or GTP staff in general) that are clearly ripped for other places without citing sources. It isn't a nice feeling.
The only mention of stolen I made was in reference to the people who create liveries. 'Stolen' is an extreme term but in that example the person uploading other people's work is actually taking credit for creating it. I don't think any of the other points being discussed account to being 'stolen'.Microsoft has all the right to re-upload any videos I make from their games, they are legally the owner of the content therefore I cannot complain on the matter.
Liveries are made and shared online for the purpose of re-using, profiting from making videos for liveries made by other people is legally allowed, credit is an optional choice in the case, the creator of pictures/liveries for these games cannot take any legal action in these situations as they do not own any right to them.
As I previously mentioned, I don't want to be that guy and always credit other creators, it slips at times, instead of whining behind my back why not directly message me to check on the situation?
I'm aware that crediting sources is important, however before publicly complaining about the matter, check with the person behind the issue, sometimes it's a simple mistake, making the creator aware of it is a solution, not creating public drama (not referring to you, the few posts above).
Quick tip, message a person or website if you consider your work "stolen" instead of blindly complaining on a forum, you're not solving the issue. When you are ignored by the certain source of the stolen content, then you have a problem.
You keep saying that but go on to try to justify the actions because it was "legal." You're missing the point, or purposely going around it as if it wasn't the morally wrong thing to do. If you want to come across as a dick, I suppose you can keep taking the route your taking, as all it comes across as "I can do whatever I want, but because you guys said something I guess I'll do this, even though I don't give two craps either way." It says a lot about your character. It's reading very much like a half hearted apology, not really concerned with the action either way, but just trying to pretend you're some "nice guy."As I previously mentioned, I don't want to be that guy and always credit other creators, it slips at times, instead of whining behind my back why not directly message me to check on the situation?
That's literally exactly what happened. I did not post anything about it until you came in and posted why. No one chastised you before hand, so I'm not sure why you're pretending it to be as such. So lets not try to pretend something happened, when it didn't. It wasn't until your off-putting reply that I replied the way I did.I'm aware that crediting sources is important, however before publicly complaining about the matter, check with the person behind the issue, sometimes it's a simple mistake, making the creator aware of it is a solution, not creating public drama (not referring to you, the few posts above).

No that's not what happened, I had no direct messages on GTPlanet, Youtube or any other social media website to make me aware that I need to make a correction, consider the issue from my side, I upload 1-8 videos daily, it's bound to happen that at some point crediting will slip, be more reasonable and get in touch if you have a problem, you did not contact me in any way.You keep saying that but go on to try to justify the actions because it was "legal." As for whining, I'm not sure who was? We waited for a response from you before anything was even said on the matter.

You had a direct tag in this thread, so why bombard you with messages, as you would have seen it anyways? You had even edited it before I replied, so I figured you'd get here sooner or later to respond. There was no need for me to message you as I figured you would have replied anyways. So I waited. So no, that didn't happen. No that's not what happened, I had no direct messages on GTPlanet, Youtube or nay other social media website to make me aware that I need to make a correction, consider the issue from my side, I upload 1-8 videos daily, it's boudn to happen that at some point crediting will slip, be more reasonable and get in touch if you have a problem, you did not contact me in any way.
@RandomCarGuy17 did tag me, otherwise I would never even read any of these posts, so thanks for that CarGuy!
Robot, I don't get on GTPlanet daily as I am quite busy in my daily life, I do understand the situation from your view, and make no mistake, I respect your work and intend have all the intention to credit you or anyone else, I am simply clearing up the situation since @SlipZtrEm posted that without making me aware, trying to make me look intentionally evil by not crediting, when it was a simple slip which happens to every creator on a big scale of content. You had a direct tag in this thread, so why bombard you with messages, as you would have seen it anyways? I have no issue that you slipped up, I was slightly bothered that you ninja edit'ed the post, but still, I waited for you to reply anyways before I came to any conclusion. What bothers me is how you come across to try to justify your actions, and how you approached the subject. Sure you don't have to ask, but why would you go to that measure to try to portray yourself like that in the first place? You forgot? that's perfectly reasonable and fine, but the way you say you can basically do what you want almost negates that fact in the first place.
Again, the problem was not that you didn't respond, its what you responded with. You may not come on all the time, but you managed to see it the very same day it was posted, within a couple of hours of your tag as I replied 1.5 hours after that, so you're on enough(or caught it at the right time), and I knew you'd be back since you had edited it. No one made you out to make you the "Evil" one, just bringing to our attention that our work was somewhere else, and left it up to us to decide our own actions from there. The only thing that would have made you seem that way is the way you replied about the matter, not anything else. Although, "evil" is a bit extreme of a word.Robot, I don't get on GTPlanet daily as I am quite busy in my daily life, I do understand the situation from your view, and make no mistake, I respect your work and intend have all the intention to credit you or anyone else, I am simply clearing up the situation since @SlipZtrEm posted that without making me aware, trying to make me look intentionally evil by not crediting, when it was a simple slip which happens to every creator on a big scale of content.
I actually find the opposite. FH2's map's biggest problem was how unmemorable it was. The first and third game in comparison have so many more memorable spots visibly and in terms of drivability.I don't know why but the FH3 map was boring for me very quickly. Bigger than FH2 but not better IMO. Driving along the coast was amazing in FH2, I don't have the same feeling in FH3. In fact, I don't have favorite place outiside of the outback for the lighting.
When i am accused of stealing content and making it seem as if I do not credit people without double checking on other videos (Yes, I do credit people when using their work, music, images, videos etc)Again, the problem was not that you didn't respond, its what you responded with. Brb, re-uploading all of @Shirrako's videos as my own.![]()
If you think I'm calling you a thief that's more paranoia than anything. It was just a light hearted joke. Apologies if it offended you. When i am accused of stealing content and making it seem as if I do not credit people without double checking on other videos (Yes, I do credit people when using their work, music, images, videos etc)
Asking for permission is the incorrect way to claim ownership of in-game pictures, which is why I wanted to inform you legally as to why you shouldn't take that approach as it simply does not work like that.
Yep, this post clearly intends to say i am a thief (in a sarcastic way at least)![]()
I fail to see anyone who has accused you of stealing. When i am accused of stealing content and making it seem as if I do not credit people without double checking on other videos (Yes, I do credit people when using their work, music, images, videos etc)
Yet, no one was mentioning any sort of legality so I'm unsure why you would keep saying it. What does work is having a bit of common courtesy and at least letting someone know that you're going to be using their photos, and that's all I've asked. You're obviously doing this to extend out to the community, yet everything you're saying just makes you out to be the complete opposite.Asking for permission is the incorrect way to claim ownership of in-game pictures, which is why I wanted to inform you legally as to why you shouldn't take that approach as it simply does not work like that.

@SlipZtrEm Reffering to your post, ensure you tag/message the person before posting accusations and trying to make people look like criminals in the shadows, not solving anything. Thanks to the member that tagged me and made me aware of the posts I managed to correct any mistakes.
I am simply clearing up the situation since @SlipZtrEm posted that without making me aware, trying to make me look intentionally evil by not crediting, when it was a simple slip which happens to every creator on a big scale of content.
Everyone cooled down now?![]()
Also, I jiggle when you poke me
<jiggle jiggle jiggle>*poke*
It would be wise to change your mindset going forward. If you think being partnered with the developer automatically gives you the same rights to those images as them, you'll be mistaken; that's their content, not yours, so a developer is more than free to do whatever they want as it's in their terms of agreement.Asking for permission is the incorrect way to claim ownership of in-game pictures, which is why I wanted to inform you legally as to why you shouldn't take that approach as it simply does not work like that.
Any idea when we will get news on the Nov dlc cars?
