Though this game is absolutely beautiful, it doesn't have a very super lasting gameplay power for me. After I start getting the cars I really wanted, I lose interest in going further.

I've finally finished all the street races and midnight battles. That final MB was a pain in the :arse:.

I'm just gutted I'll never get 63/63 Championships thanks to the glitch I have where it hasn't registered one of the tournaments. It doesn't mean too much but would have been nice to get the achievement. I think my Horizon 3 is shelved for now until the expansions (in the exception of doing online co-op every so often).

Appears to be a real issue.

I made a single post (that you've attributed all sorts of nonsense to) on a public forum you are a member of, quoting the images from the members that actually created them, as it seems only fair to let them know their work is out there.

It's telling how quickly you go on the defensive here. Nobody accused you of stealing. When we post an article on the front page and forget to credit a community member — yep, everyone does forget from time to time — we apologize and add it in. You silently edited it in, without so much as a "sorry" and responded with a comment that you are free to do as you please.

While legally it's true, it's not exactly a community-friendly approach. Crediting folks is simple common courtesy.

This is the third time you've tried telling a member of staff what to do. It'll work about as well as it has the previous times, when you made up claims about Sony/Evo Studios/Polyphony.

You know what they say about assumptions.
Thank you for the useless waste of time post which avoids the answer in every way, simply because I'm a member of a forum does not mean I'll be made aware by being brought up, not to mention you did not add my name in your post.

I've made previous claims that you're a moderator that causes drama, I stand by that if you want to speak about the past, I can advise a member of staff on how to improve moderating, it's called feedback. Stay on topic, wouldn't want you to get another thread locked.

You have failed to validate your reasoning for not tagging me, just because you're a moderator, does not mean people are not allowed to have a negative view on you, don't try taking advantage of it.

It would be wise to change your mindset going forward. If you think being partnered with the developer automatically gives you the same rights to those images as them, you'll be mistaken; that's their content, not yours, so a developer is more than free to do whatever they want as it's in their terms of agreement.

Otherwise, if you are using images taken by others & passing them on as your own for personal benefit, esp if that involves financial gain, you better believe folks will find ground to file suit against you & I'm sure the developer will step in as well as you are using the efforts of others for your benefit without credit.

I'm all for credit, however in this case "folks" have no legal rights to file a suit as they have no legal right to any of the content, it is cold to put it that way, but it's how it works.
If someone refuses to give credit, all the person can do is contact the owner of the game with the complain, taking the case to court would not even be accepted as no evidence of being the rightful owner would be provided, the terms of any game usually ask players to agree that all that is included within the game is the property of it's rightful owners, meaning developers/publishers and so on, there is no chance of actually being sued.
Let me put it this way, when you work for a company and create a character model, that does not belong to you in any way, it's the company's property, regardless if you made it, you are under a contract, similar case with video games, you agree to their terms, therefore they will own any pictures that are taken within the game.
When someone pulls this off by using pictures you took in real life, then you have the legal right to sue them as you are the owner of the content.

Or... you know, some of us don't like it when trash youtubers decide to take our stuff and use it for thumbnails for their useless videos cause they can't do a thing creative themselves and it's really just more of a annoyance than a copyright legality and you seem to be the only one wanting to continue on and fight that those of us who get pissed are wrong.

so... shut up?

You said "To be honest, Horizon 2 had a lot more to do on the map...more varied...", my comment was just that from my point of view FH3 has more to do and more variety - just a different take on the differences between the two. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hmm yeah. H2's got a larger map however.

Though this game is absolutely beautiful, it doesn't have a very super lasting gameplay power for me. After I start getting the cars I really wanted, I lose interest in going further.

I hear that - you really have to work hard to make cash and then you find out that some cars either don't sound right or they copied/pasted the sounds from other cars. Upgrades still don't make a difference. Personally speaking, bit of a letdown. Imagine if they had retained all their assets since FM2.

This is so ironic it hurts. The drama was started with you and only you, when you came in and acted the way you did, telling people you can basically do whatever you want.

You have failed to validate your reasoning for not tagging me, just because you're a moderator, does not mean people are not allowed to have a negative view on you, don't try taking advantage of it.
Seems you missed the point, agian.

I'm all for credit
Doesn't seem like it, with all the ways you're coming up with that makes it ok to not give credit. I wonder how many other thumbnails you have that you have "forgot" to give credit for.

No, I never referred to myself I spoke in a legal manner, I kept repeating that I always give credit but it will slip sometimes, I'm tired of repeating myself, I do not have the ability to teach you how to read.

Quote me on when I said "It's okay to not give credit"?

Good day.

It's a bit funny how each post gets more and more ironic. You seem to have a reading comprehension issue. I said you are coming up with ways that you're trying to pass off as if its ok to not give credit, because they are legally not our photos.

However, now you're resorting to insulting people?

Quote me on when I said "It's okay to not give credit"?
Quote me on where I said that first, without taking the quote out of context. However, Like I said, you keep going around with the notion that it doesn't matter if you give credit or not anyways because legally, it's not ours. You keep trying to defend that very notion, that you can basically do what you want and making yourself seem like a complete dick in the process.

no permission is required though, these are not real life photographs, therefore those that take them, do not own them in any way

legally it is allowed

Asking for permission is the incorrect way to claim ownership of in-game pictures, which is why I wanted to inform you legally as to why you shouldn't take that approach as it simply does not work like that.

I am not coming up with ways, I am stating facts which you can research,a lawyer would help you understand if you had such a contact.

There is a difference between "Legally" and "I", you referred to me making up excuses why it's okay for to not give credit.
I have no effect on how the law works, if you dislike the law, hold a grudge somewhere else, be sure to provide factual evidence as to why I am wrong, if you cannot prove that my legal view on things is incorrect, then I have no further reason to reply.
There is a difference between asking for permission and credit.

Keep trying.

There really isn't much difference in what we're asking. We're just asking for some common courtesy, something you lack in every thought of the word. There is no difference in whats being said, because like I said, again, you're defending the notion that you don't have to do a damn thing, which legally is right, but don't try to come around and act like you're some sort of thoughtful person. You're a dick, plain and simple. It's a bit funny how this is stemming from youtube, as you fit that demographic perfectly.

Don't forget to do this
Wrong again, permission is a complete different legal step than credit, go learn how law works before making things up, i never stated it's okay to not give credit for other's work, don't take my words out of context.
Legally it is allowed in certain cases, doesn't mean I am okay with it.

I will be sure to reply when I see a logical discussion to be made.

@Switcher Haha you are right, Well back to Skyrim on PS4 I go!

Since you edited your post.

You really have a problem with reading, all the while accusing others of that very thing. What I said is you're defending that notion, that legally a person does not have to do anything of the sort because the person that posted the photo does not own it. How do you not understand this? You are by definition, saying it's ok if you don't give credit. Legally, yeah. Morally, no. It's weird that you even make youtube videos, if not to branch out to the community. You're doing the exact opposite, seems like a waste of time. Unless you're just doing it for personal gain, for which everything seems to be pointing at.

I have no effect on how the law works, if you dislike the law, hold a grudge somewhere else, be sure to provide factual evidence as to why I am wrong, if you cannot prove that my legal view on things is incorrect, then I have no further reason to reply.
Neither does anyone else. You have been the one and only person to bring up the law, no one else. No one was concerned with legality issues, but everyone was concerned with the fact that you have no courtesy whatsoever. I would hope that you would not post after that, like you say you aren't. You've already gave a very clear image to the community, of what kind of person you really are.

That whole image thumbnail thing reminds me of GTA V Youtubers like MrBossFTW..etc that takes random peoples screenshots and information without crediting them. I'm not saying anything against anyone but just liked to mention that.

H3's map has got more variety than H2's map. In terms of scale, I don't think H3 has upped the game especially as H2 has more festival sites, but it is definitely more dense and each festival site area feels more distinctive.

Speaking of FH2, i wonder how much did FH3 improved from FH2 in terms of the gameplay? They look largely similar expect for a different map and graphics. Also i asked this question number of times but is it even worth trying FH2 out?

I have not been back to FH2 since playing FH3 but the overall gameplay is very similar. As well as the map and graphics, the sounds have been improved.

Given your circumstances, I would still give FH2 a shot. The campaign feels more structured (Although I would say the original Horizon game still has the best story) and there different showcase events to try out.

I'm going to miss week one, so good thing it's nothing that special lol.

Comparing various Horizons, I liked the game progression in FH1, minus the showdown races against the very badly written caricatures they created as boss-level drivers for each wrist band. The nice thing was that once the leveling up was done and you were crowned champion, there were still plenty of races to run and there wasn't a heavy time investment.

FH2's game progression went the other way. Leveling up required starting at the central hub, doing a road trip to another hub, running 4 races there, doing a second road trip, running 4 races there, doing a third road trip, running 4 races there, and finally doing a road trip back to the central hub. That took around 90 minutes. Way too much.

I think FH3 has a nice compromise between the two. You can run an exhibition, or a short championship of 3 to 5 races. No heavy investment of time if you don't want to. If you still feel like racing, run another championship. And the blueprints will keep me busy for years. I don't plan on creating more than the one or two I've already done until I've finished all the regular championships, but once I do, I am going to have so much fun with blueprints.

One of the big differences from FH2 to 3, is that in 2 in order to 100% you have to use each of the car classes several times across each area. Since there is like 20+ car classes you have to complete them all while having to do a lot of backtracking to each area. Other than that the game plays very similar.

Posting the part that's relevant here from the FM6 section as the Recreation Series for the Forza Racing Championship will be held on FH3 starting today.
