FYI, for those who can't find a decent match-up in Street Races (the most unfun part of the game in my opinion), use the Subaru WRX '05. All the races are winnable and you don't get the ridiculous inclusions some other cars give you (go the Ford SuperVan? Here's a Lamborghini to race).

I too feel like the game is getting a bit repetitive, once I finish the Street Races and Midnight Battles, I will be going over to Forza 6 where I feel it makes more sense in spending time getting good at the game. I really enjoy Horizon 3 but truth be told I don't see it as the type of game where getting good is worthwhile due to the lack of worthwhile 'tracks' and leaderboard dominating cars. That's one area DriveClub has it beat, actual competition.

Wow! Awesome vid @Yui-san! 👍 One of the things I like about using imagination is the ability to do this, as well as being able to recreate what you desire most. I'm so inspired! :D

Thanks Toko

I was actually only taking a series of photos inspired by iconic racing games, when I decided to listen to their respective themes through Groove Music, and viola, this video came to be

Let's get the gang together at some point in the near future in FM6. I've been itching to return to the track too. :D

Quick question about the wheel spin game. When you get to higher level like over 500, do you get less wheel spin game? I did the endurance race and got over 500, 000 XP points, it only gave me 2 wheel spin games. But to get to the next XP level is about 100, 000. So I should be getting 5 wheel spin games correct, one for each level right?

Maybe on the last update, they changed the wheel spin game so you don't win much wheel spin game.

I was intrigued by the power line towers that are right next to the BMW Midnight Race as you head out of Byron Bay on the west side. They start right there and stretch up into the rainforest, and there are two of them, side by side. So I decided to follow them. I was in a Range Rover Defender 90, so it seemed like a good car for it. I made a rule to drive under each tower in succession. I started with the towers on the left. They diverge from the other set of towers pretty quickly and then drive through some of the toughest terrain in the game. Eventually, the towers leave the map on the west side but rejoin a little later near a very small town at a T-intersection south of Maroondah Reservoir. They go north and eventually end at the dam on the west side.

Going back, I tried the power line towers on the right. They go through the highlands above Byron and head towards Yarra Valley. There is a point near the Yarra Valley festival where it splits. One set of power lines goes west and quickly ends at the dam on the east side. But if you keep following the power lines that go east, they continue through banana fields and farms and slowly turns north toward Surfers Paradise. It finally ends in a power station just a short way west of Surfers. I enjoyed exploring both sets of lines since they took me through parts of the maps I hadn't really driven through before, as well as the simple challenge of sticking to a route despite whatever terrain was thrown at me.

That's neat that the ones that branch off east towards Surfer's actually begin at a power station. Proper AtD.

Anyone feel like the Playground games are a bit repetitive, especially the 4 locations, gets really repetitive :(

To be honest, Horizon 2 had a lot more to do on the map...more varied and really really big.

I can understand it if you're not into off-road racing and would've preferred more driveable roads for road cars.

I've personally always been a bigger fan of off-road racing/rallying then track & road racing. Naturally, I ended up doing the vast majority of the exhibition races (over 50 of them) in my Penhall Cholla and to me, it made for far more interesting and fun races. Currently doing the same for the Championships. I did two of them with road cars last night, which for some reason actually felt more like a chore. As soon as I changed my choice of car to The Cholla, I breezed through the next 5 event championship.

You should try out Dirt Rally. :D

One nice thing about the Bucket List is that it places a car in a permanent place so you can do some nice photography that includes that car if you want.

The bad thing about the Bucket List is that it places a car in a permanent place so if you want to do some photography in that area, it is always there, whether you want it to be or not.

Seeing the leaderboard for the Airstrip Speed Trap reminds me how bad I am at tuning.

But I'm the only S7 I've seen so far... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now to wait for someone to go faster than me.

I was talking about the map size; what does that have to do with what you're saying?
You said "To be honest, Horizon 2 had a lot more to do on the map...more varied...", my comment was just that from my point of view FH3 has more to do and more variety - just a different take on the differences between the two. Nothing more, nothing less.

I wouldn't say there's more variety in FH2. There's more walled-off circuit possibilities because there's more urban areas, but that's about it.

What does make me a little sad is (finally) playing the rally expansion for the first Horizon. That was a blast — if too short — and the series doesn't have anything like it right now.

This is really my only complaint on Horizon 3. The outback is nice and stuff, but the whole map seems to lack any lengthy dirt road areas. Maybe they'll have some more in the expansion.

I don't know why but the FH3 map was boring for me very quickly. Bigger than FH2 but not better IMO. Driving along the coast was amazing in FH2, I don't have the same feeling in FH3. In fact, I don't have favorite place outiside of the outback for the lighting.
