With FM7 in the LA sun this week, it's got me thinking about what's coming in E3 next year for Forza, the inevitable FH4.

Now, bear with me as I make completely unsubstantiated predictions....

It's pretty much been rumored that FH4 will probably take place in Asia. Most people are hoping for Japan, but I'm going to predict that it will take place in South Korea. And because I'm still somewhat of a weeb, one of the hypothetical radio stations will be a Korean pop station. To make it even more precise, the radio DJ will probably be a very good English speaking idol, with my money squarely on being Amber Liu.

It's available right now, all this week. It's the Forzathon prize car. (correction: It's the GT3)

I think it'll be between Japan (because JDM touge dorifto breh) and South Africa. I'm hoping it's the latter.

There's no 911 in the game by that name.

The 996 GT3 is up for grabs for the rest of this week. The 997 GT2 was in a recent Forzathon and the 993 GT2 is in the Porsche pack.

If there was a 996 GT2 in-game, I'd sooner race it and crash it in the middle of the first corner.
 
Just have one more championship in the main map left, then I'll finish off the Blizzard and Hot Wheels championships.
 
I saw the Expansion Pass was discounted this week so I bought it yesterday alongside the Mtn Dew car pack and have been having loads of fun with them. Haven't done much on Hot Wheels (just the opening race) but Blizzard Mountain is brilliant with all the rally replica's I've been building lately (my favourite has to be my 600HP RS200 Evo Gr.B), although I did have to lower the AI difficulty to Highly Skilled in order to be able to win any races on BM. Gave both the Zonda R & F50 GT a 3 lap test run on Goliath and they are both incredibly fun cars to drive. The Zonda feels like it handles better (can take loads of turns flat out) but the F50 is a little more fun to drive.

I also bought a second Dart GT and created the Dart R/T Concept as best I could, with the orange factory paint, R/T parts, carbon hood/wheels & the engine tuned to 220HP (I imagine this is what an R/T would have, couldn't find a power figure for it anywhere). Currently right at the top of C Class with 594 PI.

I also tried the first race of Hot Wheels in a stock Charger R/T (only upgrade was street tires) and was very surprised I could hit 200MPH on the speed boosts, although I nearly lost due to being pushed back down to 140MPH after the boost wore off.

A random thought: have you tried the new dolby atmos for headphones setting that now works with games? It was working for me a while back but I can no longer select it. Could you please see if the issue can be replicated? The more people report this to MS, the faster we can have a fix.

H3 sounds jaw dropping with this option enabled BTW.
 
Been playing quite a bit of Blizzard Mountain and have been making loads of rally car replicas, but I encountered a small glitch after doing my Audi Quattro A2 Gr.B, where every single car I saw would have my exact same livery, regardless of what car it was.

I've seen that exact same glitch before. A few months ago, I had a painter of the Forza Motorsport Forums recreate a Subaru rallycross paint job. After I downloaded it, I kept seeing on other cars.

It's so weird that the game does this.
 
I did a little experiment to see what race is more rewarding: Goliath, Kingmaker or HW Goliath. I made sure the race length is roughly the same for all tracks. Here are the results (I was on the Inexperienced difficulty and was driving a HE Credits boost car):

Goliath - 1 lap: 11 minutes, 126k Cr, 70k XP
Kingmaker - 4 laps: 25 minutes, 145k Cr, 96k XP
HW Goliath - 2 laps: 13 minutes, 139k Cr, 71k XP

The announcement of FH4 is still a year away. We don't know where it will take place, but we can make some educated guesses. I'm thinking the car roster for FM7 might give us a hint, in the same way that an influx of Aussie cars in FM6 pointed to Australia as the setting for FH3. I'm hoping that where ever it takes place, they do like they did with FH3 and really play up the car industry (and hopefully the car culture) of that country.

I feel like they dropped the ball on this with FH2. With the game taking place in France and Italy, they could have really focused the attention on the cars and car culture of Europe in general and France and Italy in particular. They didn't. In fact we didn't even have any cars from France except Renault and Bugatti. They've done much better with FH3. All these Aussie cars are making this game feel more Australian to me.

A lot of us are thinking FH4 could be Japan, and I'd love that. If they do set it in Japan, I would want to see a real large increase in Japanese cars. Kei cars, home market cars, stuff you can't get anywhere else. But not only that. I want to see zokusha, shakotan, grachan, yankee style, vippu, nostalgic hero, etc. Then I can really feel like it's taking place in Japan.

I, too, think FH4 will be set in Japan. It would give the drifters out there some hopefully good mountain passes and such for drifting.
 
My money is on California as It was mentioned by Fulton as a possible location, along with Australia, when the team started thinking about FH2.
 
Anyone else having issues with the Windows Store on PC? I can get the update to start downloading, but it's stuck at "Downloading 0.10KB of 2.04MB" Checked for Windows updates and I did have one, restarted and still have the same issue.

Edit: After restarting the windows store app several times, it finally worked....

Anyone else having severe pain trying to download the whopping 573mb update? Three hours later its still only one 1%. Not exaggerating either.

Downloads from the Store, particularly updates, can sometimes get glitched. Pause the download, wait a few seconds, then resume.

Everything's fine here (downloaded a few hours ago on my Xbox One)
The only difference I've noticed is that I'm now able to remove the Super Trofeo from the garage.
