I really hope they add more silly and hopelessly slow cars in through DLC. A Daihatsu Midget (original or the 90s variant)
YES! We need Some Japanese K-Car love in Forza. I made an awesome Daihatsu Midget Drift car in GT5. I called it a slow motion drifter, as it drift really well, it just did it much slower then most cars.

I won't miss VW outside of the Bus, which sadly would've been perfect for FH3. The Beetle too I suppose.

It's entirely possible it's like @-Fred- suggested, but I'd find that all the more strange that VW would have such an about-face. They not only were part of FH2, but featured pretty heavily in the DLC (Beetle GRC and the older dirt-racer Bug).

Also, VW hasn't dropped from racing games entirely: it's in GT Sport still.

The Original Forza Horizon will be available for free via Games with Gold - handy for those who have just bought an Xbox One and want to get an idea of what the Horizon series is like ;)

EDIT: Just remembered that this provides an opportunity to increase my Forza Rewards score!

Hmm, with Horizon 1 being free next month, I wonder if my gamertag is still banned from FH1 multiplayer. I admit that I modded my save file, but never used it online. It was just to drive the traffic cars and unicorn cars anyway.

Awwww yeah!

Can't wait for Horizon 1 on backwards compatibility, absolutely loved that game and have some friends that have wanted to try it out after FH2, should easily keep me occupied up until FH3 release.

In the exact same boat as you. Can't do the 1000 club either :/

Back quite some years ago, circa the turn of the millenium, Honda had forbidden anyone who developped a racing game using "real-world" locations that could imply illegal actions (ie street racing and what not, a la Kaido Racer/Need For Speed/Midnight Club/SRS, more or less the equivalent at the time to Forza Horizon) to use any of their cars in those games. Wonder if VW is now doing the same thing, after last year's terrible NFS.
This would make more sense if it applied to the entire VAG, but as Audi, Lamborghini and Bentley are in the game, I just don't see it as the reason. Something else is at play and it affects the VW brand exclusively.

Honestly, I dream I'm in FH1 Colorado. Red Rocks, Finley Dam, the towns, the highways, the forests, the hills, it all floats around in my brain almost daily. I still love that game but I don't have my 360 anymore, so I need some backwards compatibility.

I don't know if i'm banned, but i can assure that i had big fun using the bus with my friend doing literally anything.

When i tried to give him millions worth of cars i couldn't do it tho.

Porsche is also part of VAG and it's not in there either. Each brand has a license and it's own people, even though they're part of a group.

True, but Porsche has never been available at the launch of any Horizon title, so this is nothing new.

I wonder if we'll still get to keep any DLC we may have purchased for FH1 with the BC version of the game.

All DLCs will be available for purchase and are compatible with the Xbox One version. I downloaded all DLCs for GRID 2 and they work just fine on Xbox One.

Horizon 1 being backwards compatible and free on GwG is excellent news. I've only ever played an in-store demo so I can't wait to play the full game.

!
If there are no Porsches or RUFs on the offical car list, then what is this?
Xr5OHDs.png

Non-Drivable NPC car? Is the current list incomplete? Or is it a DLC car? Kind of a dick move to let a DLC car be driving around during the reveal event months before release, unless there was some licensing issues that came up between then and now causing that car to be cut. OR, maybe the game will have Porsche, but they are not allowed to advertise it due to Porsche's weird exclusivity contract.

its illuminati future DLC

Releasing horizon allows us to conduct the perfect comparison for visuals, physics, and ai. I'm expecting to be really impressed with 3 considering they are four years apart

Uh, what about the BMW 850CSI and 2001 Audi RS4? Those were in FH2 and it seems odd that they were included as dlc only to be scrapped when FH3 releases.
