Revolution Studios :: Merc SL65 Part Two!

That's smooth alright! It's just a shame that the floor shows so many jaggies...
Amazing work, anyway. 👍

All of your work is stunning mate. This latest update is well, smooth :D. All of your Vanquish photos are the best I've seen. Keep up the fabulous work. I would like an opinion on my work from a "God" like you, so If you have any spare time drop by my gallery and just browse, greatly appreciated.

This is the stuff I expect to see fom you. Let's get to it.
I remember that Vanquish, that was a really good set of pictures if I remember correctly. This picture is even cooler because of all the crazy colors. The first thing I noticed was the white line that you rplaced the chrome strip with. It goes around the whole green house and adds something interesting to the car. I'm not sure what it is, but it's interesting. I like the glow of the taillights--that color is completely unrelated to the others and it really makes the picture stand out more. The back windo looks like it has a wavy ocean pattern in it with the bright blue. It looks tropical. It's pretty odd looking, but I like. Over the trunk and rear fenders goes a highlight that's shaped sort of like a boomerang. I like how the windshield starts out pitch black, then steadily brightens over the roof until it gets light blue and white on top of the back window. The little chrome strip on the side vent stands out more than I think it should, and it's noticably crooked. It's just a little disracting when I'm trying to check the whole picture. I think you should have just erased it. Keep the door handle though, because it makes the car look more like a car. If it weren't there it'd look like some alien spacecraft. My favorite spot on this picture is the hood bulge. I like the odd glow of the deep blue paint, and I like the cut lines at its edges, how they have that slight curve that points to the Aston Martin badge. Now, if the side chrome strip were subtle like the badge it might look better. All the colors on the fenders are cool and the blank headlights are wierd, but they're alright. Another one of the best parts is the whole background. The brick pattern, whith its really splotchie color, is uberinteresting and th white lines have a neato pattern. Actually, I can't decipher a pattern from the pic, so it makes it look like the lines are just going every which way, and that makes it more interesting also.
Good photo, good job.

I'm loving the look of the shot. Super smooth, but kinda jagged on the headlight to the right :( The shot looks so timid and umm "mysterious", AND that's a good thing. Gj Rev.

It's smooth, but I don't know if I like it.
The glow from the rear lights looks great, but the front ones are a bit weird, like the light is coming out of the wheel wells. I like the way you just left out the lights, though. The gradients on the body are good, too.

You're right, PB. From a realistic point of view the wheels and ground are really on another planet in quality compared to the car, but when's the last time you saw an abstract or an oil painting where everything fit and everything looked oh-so-realistic. This was for the artistic competition, remember. I thinks it fits that shoe extrememly well. I think you should play with crazy styles like this for a while, Rev.

The Vanquish looks cool Rev. It's something unusual, and it's good to see something different every once in a while. It is reminding me of something, but I can't figure out what. It definetely looks artistic and fits the Art Comp rather well.👍

Krame - Thank you :)
Master_Yoda - ? Whats the problem?
gabibyte - :( You make me sad :( Just kidding :P
magburner - Thanks, thats the sort of look I was going for :)
Touring Mars - Thanks for stopping by, I'm glad you like my work :)
DiabolicalMask - Yeah, I know what you mean about the floor, but unfortunately there's not much I can do about it :( I'm glad you like it, though :D
Dick Steel - Thanks mate ;)
.*StReeTz*. - Thank you, I've recieved alot of positive feedback for my Vanq pics :) I'll be sure to stop by and check out your gallery :)
fyffe - Thanks :D
Keef - Thank you for you long response :) I see what you mean with the chrome strip, it does stick out a bit, now that I look at it. However, I could have sworn I did get rid of it! Oh well :embarrassed:
PLmatt91 - Oh well, its been said before but art is subjective.
Duċk - lol, yeah, thanks :)
JFM92_GTRacer - Thanks :) I actually did notice that the headlight was a tad jaggy, but only after I had uploaded it into the artistic thread, when it is too late to change it because I would lose all my imageshack ratings :(
Vonie - Thank you :P
Perfect Balance - I wasn't really going for realism, but thanks anyway.
keef (again:P) - Maybe I will....
440 Charger - Thank you! I don't know about you, but it certainly reminded me of Auto Modellista a little bit, with the cartoony style :)

Nice shot of the Zonda
I think you have an addiction to that brick reflection ;)
good choice of the rim 👍

i really like your work lately. i have taken into account what othres have commented on, and i think some of the opinions are too critical. you make art, and its beatiful.

you really put the modern supercars in their element, and add cool colors snd light to make them shine. however can i make a request for something a little different? :D

Awww...I thought it was going to be another Aston.

Anyways, great shot. I could never get a goos shot there.
Yours looks awesome, very smooth. The wheels are good, too.

Nice avatar, man. It's OK, go ahead and say it, you know you got the idea from me and my rim. The particular picture I made it from makes for a gorgeous wallaper with the right "tuning". I have a fancy looking rimertwo of the new Turbo, also. Polished Aluminum all the way. Shiny. But I don't feel like changing it yet.
So, about the ol' Zonda. The background, the foreground, the bricks, the highlights on them, the patterns.....beautiful. The car is pretty good, too. Just look at all the different colors--green, blue, yellow, a little streak of red. But it just can't be perfect, nothing is perfect, and nothing ever will be. Not even God. Ah ah, take it to the opinion thread.
The car is a little bit too soft. It is soft in the right spots, of course, but it's also soft in the wrong spots. Like on the left front fender. The part right next to the headlight, on the edge, and going up to the apex, is a little too smudgy. Especially when you look at the section just below the headlight, which has a sharper edge. It's just annoying to my eye. That little section of the wheel arch where the edge gets lost in the highlight along with a spoke of that all-too-obvious Mercedes wheel makes the arch look really ubergoober.Overall, it just looks a little odd when compared to the super sharp bricks. Hopefully GT5 will fix that. This is a nice shot, and a nice quote.

EDIT: Holy crap Yoda! Stop pulling ekmatts. Explain yourself! Make stuff up if you have to, but make sure it doesn't sound like bull****. Me, I never make anything up. Ever.

Great shot and nice clean-up. Loving the look of it too. Only problem with me is that the nearest headlight, (the one to the right), got a couple jaggies and the front wheel's left spoke looks weird to me. Then again i cant ever do that ****, (maybe if i had a better program), so i shouldnt be talking  BUT i have to cause with shots perfect like that it's too easy to spot the mishaps... ;)

The headlamps look a bit too sharp, but otherwise, it's perfect. The reflection of the cobblestone and the realistic look of it is spectacular. The car is very smooth, not too soft to look overdone, but it gives it an artistic flair. The font of your quote accents the expensive and exclusive look of the Zonda. And the borders are very suitable for it.

That's probably one of your best pics yet.

@Everybody - Than you all for your kind words.
franz - Thanks... I do like that brick pattern :P
lmracer - Sure, you can request something, so long as its not too expensive :)
Duċk - One of my best? You think? :):D:):D

Anyways, here's the promised Dodge Charger update. Enjoy :)
