Revolution Studios :: Merc SL65 Part Two!

Sweet Z4 Revo!đź‘Ť Those are all very nicely framed and I like the color tones a lighting. And the cleanup and softness of the shots looks great as well. And like Slip said, it can be done without the blur. I go back and fourth with liking and disliking the blur, but superior shots can be acheived either way, as you have shown. Excellent update! Keep it up.

Rohrl-fan - Thanks! I picked those rims specifically because I thought they suited the car most out of all the available wheels this week, and I hadn't seen them used yet. :)
Dick Steel - Thanks :P
franz - Thanks, they suit the car well, don't they? Hmmm, bodykits? Maybe later perhaps :sly:
PERFECT BALANCE - Thanks, I'm glad you like them :dopey:
MKThreeGTi - Thank you! :D
Krame - Thank you, I was going for a smooth dark style with this set.
Fyffe - Thanks :P
440 Charger - Thanks, I'm glad you like them :) I'm really pleased with how the BMW metallic blue looks at Shibuya with white balance all the way to the blue end. :)

BTW, check out the first post, I've played around with the banners a tiny bit to seperate the catagories a bit better. Does it work?

appie17 - Heh, thanks appie! Bring a mop next time, ok? ;)

Anyhow, I finished the BMW Ring-Taxi requested by Rohrl-fan, in my eyes it came out rather nice! What d'you guys think? Also, I was going for not just a cool chop, but also a nice photograph with this one, pulling out all the stops in terms of cleaning, motion blurring, filters and such. So, if you could please comment on the photographical side of this pic, not just the editing work put into it. Thanks :P

 I'm totally loving the Z4 update at Shibuya! I can't choose a favourite, because they are all awesome. Though if I was pushed, I'd go for the 4th pic - the interior of the car looks amazing! I'm a big fan of the dark, and its great to see Shibuya at night like you have captured it. Another thing I like is the glow you have created around all of the neon lights and billboards - excellent stuff!

As for the Ring taxi... I really am in awe of your PS skills, they are phenomenal! I've taken a few pictures at that corner, so I am familiar with the look you can get there, and its amazing to see how much you have added to create the pic you have taken. I particularly like the cars headlights. People often go overboard with lens flare, but you have got it just right. đź‘Ť I could go on all day about this awesomepic, safe to say though its awesome! Keep 'em coming! :dopey:

umm yeah...what magburner said...

he pretty much snatched everything i wanted to say..đź‘Ť

now if somebody give this guy his pimp goblet and bring in the ladies..

its time to celebrate..

Amazing stuff Revolution I've been meaning to visit your studio ever since I saw your SLR entry, I just haven't had time... but now that I've been, I've got loads of wallpaper for my desktop! Excellent work especially the SLR, Vanquish, Z4 and BMW Ring-Taxi :D

I really like your Z4 update. I dig the deep blue tint to the pics, the color of the car, and the rims. I never realized that those are BMW style whells. Who uses that style, Hamann, Alpina?. Anyway, that was a great update.
This Ring Taxi is so unique I can't explain it. I'm guessing that it's a new service really offered by BMW, because you'd have to have some sort of crazy inspiration to come up with a picture like this. I can tell (I think) that you added the headlight shine; looks good, though you should have made it blue because they're Xenon lights. The ATC (Around The Corner) looks really good. That real liscence plate adds some authenticity, too. I think this is one of your best, and most advanced, photoshops ever.

GRADE A skills Rev! đź‘Ť đź‘Ť
That's awesome. Not only did you add the decals, you did the blur trick! THat's just sick you know! AND the head lights too! That's extreme Rev, (Mind if i call you Rev?). ;)

Awesome job, Rev.
The car looks really smooth and I like how you got cars in the background as well. The decals and stuff look great and the blur is your natural awesomeness (tutorial?).

The Z4, too is awesome, the angles, colors and lighting is great.

jmx2222 - Thanks for takin' a look at my gallery, I'm glad you like the Ring Taxi :)
MKThreeGTi - Thanks man, I'm really pleased with it :dopey:
Rohrl-fan - Wow, thanks alot, I'm happy you like it too :P
1n5oMni4 and hellasmoked - Thanks guys, I'm glad you like my work :)
magburner - Thanks! :) I'm really pleased with how the Z4 pics and the Ring Taxi came out myself, I'm glad you guys like'em as well!
Dick Steel - :) :dopey:
R32mania - Thanks! Now where's that pimp goblet.... ;) :D
725 - Thanks mate, I'm glad you like what you see. I'm always pleased when people use my stuff as wallpaper, so thanks!
Master_Yoda and Krame - Thanks guys :P
Perfect Balance - Heh, thanks, feel free, I don't mind sharing my tips :) ;)
keef - Thank you! On the BM, I'm told the wheels are very AC Schnitzer :)
I was going to do the headlights blur, but after looking at some pics of the M5 with its headlights on, I'm pretty sure that the xenon globes aren't lit in that pic. Plus, I figured that the pic needed a bit of warmth to it :P One of my most advanced photoshops? I dunno about that, but its definately one of the best looking one's, well IMO anyway :sly: ;)
JFM92_GTRacer - Thanks mate! PS Feel free to call me Rev, I don't mind :)
Vonie - Thank you! When I took the pic, I was like "wow, look at those cars in the background! What a lucky shot! IMO it adds a bit of authenticity to the "ring-taxi" thing, because from what I've heard, the Nurburgring gets a lot of traffic nowadays. Oh, and a tut is coming soon, I'm planning on doing a detailed one with pics :)

... BTW, 200th post in my gallery! :D

I'm in shock as to how well that turned out, Rev. It's the tiny details that make it; the license plate, the headlights (the rings and the bulbs), and the fact you turned it into an evening shot, or at least a more overcast day than available in GT4 :). The cast light on the ground is another nice detail many would overlook, and the cars off in the distance just completes it. Outstanding job đź‘Ť đź‘Ť.

SlipZtrEm - Thanks, you know me, I like to get all the little details ;):P
I'm glad you like it so much, I do too. :)
lmracer - Thanks! Next up will be another photoshoot, either Audi A4 DTM at Nurburgring or the rest of those M5 pics, maybe.

Rev, I hope you don't mind me posting another pic in your gallery :nervous:, but this is an example of a Z4 with AC Schnitzer rims. I really wanted to show you what I meant. They really do look like the rims on your Z4, don't they?

Man, you're a photoshop god!
I saw the Ring Taxi you did and i was just stunned. I had no idea what to say. It is perfect in every way!
BTW my mobile phone theme has a very similar picture with your on the background :)

Ring Taxi is super stunning
two cars at the back really suit well
Overall the image is not very realistic
but they are very well balanced
kinda like an oil painting ...
simply a piece of art

I was just checkin out your BMW Ring Taxi, that looks really great. And I have a suggestion for you on your door and hood jams. As I was looking at your shot, I noticed how the door and hood jams, or creases, or lines (whatever you want to call them) were kind of blurry. There is a really easy way to make those pop out and really add a lot of detail to your shot. Take the Dodge and Burn tools to it. Use the burn tool to darken in the dark line, use size 1 brush, and than take the dodge tool and very lightly highlight the edge that the sunlight would be hitting. It adds a lot to the blurry lines that GT4 turns out. Maybe you already knew that and just did'nt put it to use on this lates shot, but I thought in case you did'nt know, I would just give you a little tip.:)
