What I say is let the feature be able to be enabled/disabled just like the other technological aids that are in the room settings when in an open lobby. If a person joins the room to see that TCS or ABS is disabled, they just leave the room, no harm no foul and both people move on.
(Most may not agree) but I believe that the experience would be somewhat taken away when making mistakes... If you mis judge a corner by coming in too hot, and you run into a corner guard rail with a room thats supporting heavy damage, the fact that you can just hit a button and go back 3-7 seconds is a tad bit too forgiving in my opinion. Sure you lose a couple positions in the race, but the mindset of having to rely on the rewind feature just to stay in a race isn't a mindset I completely agree with. But as long as I can leave a room and have the ability to turn it off (unlike the srf in the license tests ) I guess it's safe to say that all isn't lost. Just as long as those that use the feature won't brag about being the better drivers in the community .
