Hey guys that dragmod is being made by a guy called Angus94. This is his website http://people.aapt.net.au/~angus94/V8SCRC/main.html

Here is another Dragmod being made by ShaneB at Dragsim.

Also a new mod called Touring Car Legends is out. Dont have enough time to write anything about it now except for that the download is quite a large file.

Will add some more stuff later. See you guys on the track sometime. Send me an email or PM if you want to find out where I race

FSONE 2008 1.0 was released this week and some are already comparing it to CTDP 2006. I wish i had a wheel right now :indiff:

What does FSONE stand for? How is this different/better than the already existing F1 2008 mod? I had high hopes for CTDP 2006 but I find it undrivable. The car spins nomatter how careful I am with the throttle. And the FFB is weird, the wheel keeps pulling sideways when I'm standing still. Hope there is a setting solution for it but I'm not sure what to do...:grumpy:

No the force is not reversed because once I catch some speed it corrects itself. It is only weird at low speeds or standing still. The game was bought second hand so it didn't come with any manual unfortunately.

the FSONE 2008 mod is really forgiving to drive, I'd definitely recommend it, but remember to use realfeel and set force feedback to positive strength.

Question for all you rFactor pros out there. I have recently built a new PC that seems to be running fairly well and want a driving sim that will push the graphical and physical limits that compare or exceed GT5: Prologue. I downloaded the free 60 minute trial of rFactor and thought it was fun but found the graphics reminiscent of GT4 on the PS2. Ok, not quite that bad, but I was expecting GT5:P graphics. Are there any hi-resolution, DX-10 mods out for rFactor? New skin and tracks textures that will push the graphical elements of the game? I love the full support of the G25 wheel and am really getting into it, I just want more eye candy at this point. Will this generation of game do it for me?

For the record, I was running everything maxed, driver set to 16xFSAA, 6xFSAA In game, 1920x1080, ect... It is running silky smooth and I know I have a lot of head room left with the PC.

Thanks in advance guys. Your honest opinions are welcome.

I dont know about mods for rFactor but the game Race07/GTR Evolution are pretty resource hungry so it might be able to push the limits of your PC a bit more than rFactor does

CTDP 2006, F1 2008, RFTF1 2008, they all have someting in common.

They are all just running tracks at night for some reason. I changed the time to 9 AM to 5 PM and it's all the same. The moon is there all the time. What's wrong?

Also, the FFB I have trouble with. Where can I get a tuturial of what all the settings are so I can tweak and do I really need to dowload all kinds of stuff to make FFB work properly with my Logitech DFP wheel? The brake does not react until I've pressed it some. The deadzone for the brake is zero and it works fine with Race 07. What to do? The brake is fine when I check calibration.

And what are the credits for? (other than taking them away from me when I run red lights out of pitlane and forget speedlimiter and such)

iRacing probably pushes my system the hardest ATM running maxed out. I don't know if I'd rate the graphics as better than gt5 though. Unless you run highly populated leagues in rFactor, you wont run into full grids in rFactor anywhere as often as you do in iRacing or Live For Speed.

You used the proper settings in the logitech wingman profiler as well? You can change the brake rate of the pedals to be faster and more sensative in the options. or if the brakes are misscallibrated, you can tweak that in dxtweak2.

In the logitech wingman profiler, turn damping and centering spring all the way down, and make sure to uncheck combined pedals.

Do you have the same problem in the FS0NE 2008 Mod? i was just trying that out, and the force feedback is quite nice for that mod. 👍

Has anyone tried the Touring Car Legends mod? its 1 to 4 gigs depending on if you download skins and tracks... I really wanna drive those old cossies so i'm gonna download it tonight.

Touring Car Legends is pretty sweet. The team I'm in is running a series in it at the moment. All the cars are awesome to drive, the skins are awesome and most of the cars have great sounds. It is really worth the download. If you cant get the full pack however you can still race offline but will get mismatches at most online servers :D

Thanks for the advice. I did go back to calibrate the unit in windows games control panel. It worked perfectly there. The Logitech profiler didn't seem to help me in any way and I don't want faster or slower response, just a response, that's all. I'll have a second look at it on Sunday having your comments in mind. I don't have the FSONE 2008. I just thought it be enough having two different F1 2008 mods already. F1 2008 (whoever made it, I don't see it on rfactor central) and RFTF1 2008 (which I think has awsome looks and feel). And then I have F1 2006 CDTP and F1 2009 and GP2 and Champcar 2007 (I love it but the cars are made of paper it seems, very fragile). So, uh, currently I have my hands full of open wheelers and F1 mods I think, but if there is a compelling reason to get FSONE 2008 as well, then I'll go get that too :)

Right now my biggest issue is how to get the fin to the Renault (and the other teams which used it). Is it in a special mod? Is it an upgrade? Or how do I get the fin? I want it.

By the way, the issue of always night is said to be caused by the Singapore track which is run at night. It affects every other track so to make every track a night-track it seems. One solution is to get sky textures and I'm about to test that out to solve the problem.

Hi guys
Ummm I want to get into drifting in rFactor
Ive got the JDM Drift Cars 2.20 mod
Are there any kind of tutorials or whatever on t'internet for how to drift and can anyone recommend a good track to practice on?
cheers
Aldo

And will there be a future version of this mod that'll include some or all of the Gran Turismo original tracks, I wonder?:D

the demo looks to be garbage... what good are cars if the physics arent realistic... I've just looked at the car specs ingame, but I won't get to drive the cars for a few minutes. Both cars have 415hp and same torque. I wonder if they put an work into the physics or did any research.

Just got rFactor today, and I love it.:D It's such a challenge.👍 I've been driving the V8Factor mod at Oran Park LiDAR. I wouldn't mind to get an F1 mod, but i'm not sure which one to get....I've heard FSONE 2008 is good, but i'm still not sure.

I got around to getting this and the mods are amazing. I never bothered getting it since I thought the mods would be crappy but I was wrong. I have fallen in love with the F1 08 mod, whoever made it got the sound perfect.

yeah its fun pushing it in the f1 cars :) I was thinking of maybe joining a league, but I don't have the time. Also, you should check out the Historix mod and the VLN 2005 mod. the VLN 2009 mod is in the works.
