Hi Skidmark,
The answer is no, this doesn't take a "Super Computer" to run. This is what ISI (rFactor) recommends. To check your PC specs you can go to "run" (in start bar bottom left on Windows XP) and type "dxdiag". It then brings up your specs, you can do the same on Vista/7 but you do it in the "search" section when you hit start.
Runs best with:
# Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor
# Windows XP
# 2048 MB RAM
# Geforce 7900 GT or Radeon X1900 GT
# 256 MB video RAM
# DirectX 9.0c
# 2.0 GB of hard drive space for installation
# Internet connection required for one-time activation
Minimum Requirements:
# System Requirements 1.4 GHz processor
# Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, XP, XP 64-bit, Vista (will NOT run in Windows 95 or Windows 98 first edition)
# 512 MB RAM
# Geforce4 4200 or Radeon 9200
# 128 MB video RAM
# DirectX 9.0c
# 2.0 GB of hard drive space for installation
# Internet connection required for one-time activation
Basically, you're PC can be pretty poor and still run it.
The Driving Force GT you mean? If so, that works cause that's what I used for ages.
You will enjoy rFactor, at first it's a bit hard, but when you get used to it, the amount of mods and online capabilities are endless. The online features particularly are fantastic.
