Ok, im having trouble with the F1 2009 WCP 2.0 Mod...

I installed it under Gamedata/Vehicles. I start up the game and there is a list of 2009 cars, but when i click on one of them, nothing shows and the menu freezes up right away...? Help?

Make sure you've selected the WCP mod in the mod selection list. From memory, WCP '09 doesn't work if you're in "All Cars & Tracks" mode.

Im still lost.

Forgot to mention, i just installed Windows 7 Ultimate (g4bit)... then installed rFactor.

Any compatibility issues? What do i need to download?

Shouldn't be...

WCP ain't so great, but it's the best currently available.

Touring Car Legends is brilliant, give it a try.

My latest and Adrenalin Factor's latest round video, check it out. :) It was the FVRV8_2010 mod at Albert Park (league racing highlights).

nice... love the soundtrack :P

Thanks for that. :D

Just an idea... Would any of you be interested in meeting up in a server with the new Bathurst legends 1972 mod? I know Ausfactor is running a server with Bathurst 1.3 and Bathurst 1967.

I might be up for that...
It would be my first time on rFactor properly for about a year and I've got a busted ankle so my braking might be a bit off.
So when were you thinking? :P

Well most likely tomorrow night, trouble is Australian time. So 6pm-midnight aussie time? (GMT +10).

We can race another mod if you guys want. Also, have you got ventrilo?

Yeah I could get on btween those times. Earliest would probs be 10am (8pm for you)
I don't have a PC mic but I do have a PS3 one that can apparently be used as a desktop mic for the PC. So if I get that working I'll download ventrilo.
:)

Awesome, all good. :)

Hi mate
I'm up now so just drop me a line here and I'll fire up rFactor :)
Unfortunately I couldn't get the mic working on the PC which is disappointing :irked:

Alright, no worries. What mod you want to race? I'll be on at about 10:30pm Australian time (GMT +10) for a bit of racing I think if that's ok with you?

Ok that's good with me (gives me time to practice!)
I downloaded that Bathurst Legends one so we could do that. Are there any others that you have/would recommend/want to race?

Sorry for the double post...
My mum has just told me that we are going out, I had no option. :irked: :irked:
Are you able to race tomorrow?
Arrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!🤬

Pro tip: don't ride the kerb at turn 3 at Lime Rock Park. I managed to land it, believe it or not... was seriously awesome on the replay :D

Just racing at Bahrain in one of the public RFT2009 servers (I'm usually on them. Join me if you want), and I set a PB lap time-1.29.254.

I'll be sure to up the replay soon.

I'm currently practicing with the AE86 (from the Club mod) at Donington Park with 20 or so AI cars, and its a hoot for my modest rF skills.

Haven't mastered Cadwell yet, though.

That AE86 mod was fantastic, I managed to win a friday night league championship in that mod, I absolutely loved it (although I spent my whole time driving it sideways).

Waggles, I might be able to get on a server tomorrow if you're on?

Considering the time of that post, you mean today?

Generally, the server that I will be on is worldf1racers.com, however sometimes usarcr.com and rarely 24/7, as that has a dumb mech failure rate.

Random mini movie by me and another member at the site I league race at.

Mad that was ....MAD
Too cool mod mate. 👍

Loved the spinning Stihl sign at the end.... must have been windy.

Hi all,

I really like the look of this game, does it need a monster PC to run it.

I have a crappy laptop but I have never really got into PC gaming so a lot of the specs and tech stuff is well over my head.

Also will the force GT work on a PC?

Sorry for the noobie question but I need a decent racer to tied me over until GT5, although looking at this I recon it could completely take over.

Hi Skidmark,

The answer is no, this doesn't take a "Super Computer" to run. This is what ISI (rFactor) recommends. To check your PC specs you can go to "run" (in start bar bottom left on Windows XP) and type "dxdiag". It then brings up your specs, you can do the same on Vista/7 but you do it in the "search" section when you hit start.

Runs best with:
# Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor
# Windows XP
# 2048 MB RAM
# Geforce 7900 GT or Radeon X1900 GT
# 256 MB video RAM
# DirectX 9.0c
# 2.0 GB of hard drive space for installation
# Internet connection required for one-time activation

Minimum Requirements:
# System Requirements 1.4 GHz processor
# Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, XP, XP 64-bit, Vista (will NOT run in Windows 95 or Windows 98 first edition)
# 512 MB RAM
# Geforce4 4200 or Radeon 9200
# 128 MB video RAM
# DirectX 9.0c
# 2.0 GB of hard drive space for installation
# Internet connection required for one-time activation

Basically, you're PC can be pretty poor and still run it.

The Driving Force GT you mean? If so, that works cause that's what I used for ages.

You will enjoy rFactor, at first it's a bit hard, but when you get used to it, the amount of mods and online capabilities are endless. The online features particularly are fantastic.

Thanks for the help mate, I am downloading it now. You get an hours free play to try it out. I will see how I get on.

I am glad I stumbled over this game, I have heard people mention it but never really looked into it much. I really need to get a decent racer to tide me over till GT5.

I was about to go out and buy FM3 and an xbox but I will plough on with Rfactor and try to master it.

Might be back to ask about the best mods etc soon!

Thanks again!

I'm having issues with installing mods. Basically the game keeps reverting back to the OWC car that is in the game already. VHR is the only mod I have currently and it installed itself. I know I'm selecting it on the "Series" list but it reverts after I pick the track.

Any ideas?

All I can really say is you haven't installed it properly in one way or another. What mod are you trying to install?

A few of my favourite videos from the League I race at.

This one was of me, Pole position, Castrol white and green Commodore. I hit the kerb and lose it in front of the field, and all sorts of chaos occurs...

And Season 6 Best moments (my first season too, look out for that #77 White/Green Castrol VE Commodore!!
