Hi - can someone please explain why the SC flutter sound on both H2's is inconsistent? In the real H2 and H2R, the flutter can be heard every time you rev high and let off so: neutral revving, upshifts and downshifts, as well as going off-throttle at high revs.

In the game, however, you only hear it on downshifts, even though interestingly, I've seen a handful of gameplay videos where the flutter can be heard on off-throttle, upshifts and neutral revving. I'm playing on Xbox One X and only hear it on downshifts... what gives? Can someone please replicate this?

Very oddly, I changed to quality mode and suddenly I can hear the flutter a lot more often - e.g. during upshifts, off-throttle at high revs, revving in neutral, both mid and high torque - but only randomly, and not always (like you do on the downshifts). Did they mess up the flutter sound with one of the updates? Does it only happen in performance mode? Are you guys hearing it on the downshifts only as well?

Kinda annoying.

Edit: Just ran a test - yup, flutter sound disappears in performance mode and only audible during downshifts. Quality mode brings back the flutter sound on off throttle coasting at high revs, upshifts, neutral gear revving ... But not always. What an odd bug.

Still debating if worth it to get r4, having r3 and so many more bikes, to still even try and unlock.

With r4 having grind for bikes i read, with high cost to push you to buy and unlock them with real extra cash.

I bought the deluxe edition from the psn sale just 2 weeks ago and i already have 139 bikes just from doing time trial i tried the career but stopped after the first cup not my thing.

The deluxe edition comes with the x2 credit multiplier the season pass but you have to buy the Japanese Bikes Pack and the European Bikes Pack each are 2.99$
In total i almost have every bike just from hot lapping tt and a total so far of 6k miles

I see yeah, thanks, still gets a little high price though, it's 43cad plus 7 cad maybe for those 2 small dlcs.
I wonder if the feel is more visceral than in r3, more sense of speed, thrilling, immersive.

That's one thing i like more too in tt2 and rims.

Edit: went to try some ride3, been a long time not trying it.
I had changed the style to a less hung out low to the side of the bike, before i had it set to the most extreme one.
For helmet, rider pov riding of course.
And it really makes it so easier to follow your line, even it still leans to the side.

Just a little less thrilling but so much more playable. Might try the next more side low style later on.

But im enjoying more than i remembered, plus you have a good idea of what is going on, sliding the back on compression of downshift, or on rear brake, sliding the front brake wide, lightening the front on power, etc.,
from the view and subtle vibrations on ds4.

Pretty damn good, and real feel to me.
I think im set with this for a long time, unless ride5 is such an improvement.
Got a ton of bikes i like too.

Cheers.

Are tuned bikes Chikane or just stock?
Stock i only like adding a exhaust if you can

So after almost 30 slow laps i finally learned the Southern 100 and all i have to say is wow this is what a bike track should be.

Also this part from southern 100 has to be my favorite part of any track from any racing ever.

:gtpflag:

Wish there was a 200 or even 300 version. :D

Man is amazing how learning a track can change your feelings for it. I used to hate VIR race track in in fact i avoided it like the plague in this game but giving it a second chance and once i learned the full course version it now has become my favorite track in the game.

On a second note when do you guys think ride 5 will be reveal? I really hope is only for current gen so they can get the best out of it.

What view do most people use on bike games?

I’ve found I’m much faster on 3rd person but detest using it in any games so I struggle through with first person view.

Still feels off in bike games, whereas car sims 1st person feels more natural.

3rd person view 90% of the time and helmet view 10% of the time i just don't feel comfortable in first person view for long.

@Chikane_GTR & @MrCrynox I can't believe how many people hate VIR! I love it both in FM and Ride. I know some don't like the track list for it but it's truly one of the things I like most about the game.

@FrankieStail I use helmet cam in the Ride and MotoGP games, flawed as I feel they are, and although I would like to use first person in the Supercross and MXGP games I end up getting motion sick and headaches from them. I feel if we could adjust the FOV in any of these games it would greatly improve matters, there's just too much getting compressed onto my 27" monitor.

I was in the same boat man... and found that I didn't much care for any track that I didn't "know", but lately, I found that if I don't know a track it is a challenge to learn it. VIR in Ride 4 was the epiphany for me in that respect.
And yes, I def think there will be a Ride 5, why wouldn't there be, right?

As of now i driven every bike i have which is now 197 out of 251 and here is my top 6 best and worst bikes (Own opinion) :)

First my top 6 bikes that are worth every penny base on sound, handling, But not braking cause we all know how that works in this game.
You can not go wrong with any of this 6 wonder bikes.

In no particular order

2021 BMW M 1000 RR - Amazing bike and pretty easy to ride at the limit since is pretty forgiving.

2019 Ducati Panigale V4 R - Just as with the M1000 this bike is just amazing.

2020 Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP - Great sound and handling.

2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 - This bike will leave you speechless great handling and braking with amazing sound and with a exhaust right up there with the H2R just better.

2014 KTM 1190 RC8R – Racing Modified - Out of all the RM 1000 superbikes this has to be my favorite.

2019 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro - Amazing sound (Wait i'll say it again amazing sound on this bikes just that along is worth the price the great handling is extra. :P:)

Now for what i think are the worst i driven and in my opinion you shouldn't waste your virtual money on unless your trying to buy every single bike.

In no particular order

2010 BMW HP2 Sport Motorsport Special Edition - Handles like a truck

2020 Energica Ego - No just no if this is the future of bikes :(

2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2R - Yeah is fast and? that's pretty much it just stick with the normal H2

2017 Suter 500 mmx - 2.7 Million down the drain

2017 Vyrus 986 M2 - Horrible handling

2020 Yamaha YZF-R1 - For a leader bike is horrible even on best street tires. My least favorite of the big 3

Seeing Yamaha R1 so down below in the worst bike list hurts me a little. I rather like 986 M2 and Suter MMX 500 as well, and I kind of dig Energica Ego too.

Come to think of it, I don't think there was any bike in Ride 4 I actively hated using. There are some that I'm ambivalent toward, but most bikes in Ride 4 feels fun to play with.

Is this known? But i noticed just now while doing laps at monza that when you reach a breaking zone and start breaking but don't down shift the gears till the end of the breaking zone the bike seems to slow down faster then if you downshift while you slow down?

:boggled:

Also manual tuck-in its like the DRS of bikes :D

I think RZ05 might have the first guy who caught on to that, I also found that running the engine braking very low helped. Basically, it seems like if the back end locks up, the bike carries further. Noticed this in one of the MotoGP games as well. We had some disagreements about what was causing it, but regardless, that's what's happening. You can try moving your rider weight around, too. I thought it helped but it might have been in my head, too.
