Honestly, pcars won't support my g27 wheel, Ride is all glitchy, GT6 is getting a little stale. I'm kind of over spending a ton of cash on hardware and software just to play a decent racing game. Just feel let down and broke in the end. This is my fear too, was hoping the updates would be out before I was ready to make a purchase... Its not looking good right now though
PCARS will be here soon, and its going to be hard to split time between games! Unless RIDE is fixed, i'm affraid it will be on the backburner for some time to come!
I let my buddy play the game and he asked me if the game ''froze'' (during the time RIDE was loading a Quick Race). I assured him that all was fine, and then the white showroom with the bike appeared.Grrrr, I have to vent! The load times, the load times! I tell you, Milestone
are lucky there's not a similar product out there that's quicker to navigate
I like the game once it gets going, but wth?! Ahh better now, thank you all
Hmm, seems like loading the AI is taking the time then?Yeah, I honestly can't wrap my head around the loading times when going into a race or an overtake challenge, espescially considering how quick Driveclub loads The only exception is the Time Trial events
I've been suspecting that. There certainly is a need of optimizing the loading times regardless.Hmm, seems like loading the AI is taking the time then?
I've reached 70 bikes in my garage now, have tried each bike I own so far but I can't stop riding the BMW HP4 and MV Agusta 1000S. I have been avoiding the championships so far on PC because I'm still not sure whether they have fixed the save problem or not and will most likely leave them all for the last few events so I can revisit the different types of bikes.
As my first bike game I can certainly say it's raised my interest in the two-wheeled machines.
I don't think there's any need to avoid championships on PC, I never had any problems with corrupt saves and any problems that were there are fixed since the patch, well all the stuff that breaks the game anyway.
which AI rider do you use in team races? i came 2nd to many races because my AI rider was at the last positions

Strange they fixed the oil bug for PS4 and not on PC. It looks like they're just going to fix the bare minimum they can get away with as usual. And here are the PS4 patch release notes:
Strange they fixed the oil bug for PS4 and not on PC.
True, but still doesn't look too promising if that's all they fixed for PS4 considering they need to pay a fee for each patch.PC patch came much earlier, so I assume that was just an emergency patch for the save corruption. I suspect more patches for PC will follow.
On consoles they try to get as much in one patch as they can, as they need to pay a fee to Sony/MS per patch.
,,,,, considering they need to pay a fee for each patch.
An old practice, which as far as I can tell, was abandoned some time ago because it disuaded developers from correcting errors in their games, even when it rendered them completely unplayable. Multiple sources have quoted $40,000 per patch. If this were still the case we would probably never see any patches on a console game again, certainly never from third party developers.
Data corruption patch works, thankfully. Just had the dreaded 34878 ps4 error after finishing a race mid championship, entered back into the game and was greeted with an options screen to resume or abandon the championship. No data loss, only the finish from just before the crash was lost, so just need to do that race again.
Phew, though there may have been a problem there for a moment!
