Just need testing on 1.19 :) New update and all  The car is very wild, similar to YellowBird, not sure if this car will be fun for many on CM tire :scared: I may add high toe alignment to help with ease of driving, but will need further testing.

Sounds good. I know you've said, multiple times, that you've been very busy lately. I wasn't trying to push -- just curious if you had hit any developmental issues or something. 👍

Ooh! Me likey the Alpine A110... :D

I was just driving your Bugatti Veyron. What a freakin' pig that car is... I swear I heard "Oink! Oink!" come out of the exhaust... :D Oh, I forgot to mention in my first response about your McLaren F1. If people are having trouble with CM tires, there is no shame in throwing on CS or SH. I have a feeling I'll probably need CS tires, at a minimum, if the car is as nuts as you claim!  :D

This is the car used as base for replica, with data from various sources to help build the specification. I had someone gave me info from printed material manuals ( spring rate, weight/distribution, gear ratios and alignment )

The car below has been restored and is a masterpiece :P

I think the Alpine A110 is one of the most gorgeous cars ever created. It's different, ya know? So little. So light... So much fun!

You don't think 750kg is light?! Tell that to my 1800kg Aventador!!

The '65 A110 '100' Competition with 1108cc engine was much lighter at 590kg, but it only had 95HP

The 1600 Alpine even with front mounted fuel tank, is known for it's unforgiving handling, hard to find the limit and easily step over without warning, while the 1800 with mid mounted tank is much quicker but also much more violent, make a mistake on entry and either nose first or off the road sideways :P

Wow... I think I mentioned in some post up above that I was actually unfamiliar with Alpine before purchasing and playing GT6. I really, really love the A110 1600S! It's definitely in my Top 10 for GT6 cars and quite possibly Top 5 if I really put a lot of thought and analysis into my decision. I give it 1,000,000 points for design...That's why.

So, I'm not familiar with this A110 1800 at all, but I look forward to learning about it when you have the time to post it. 👍 Personally, I don't think there are any physics changes with v1.19...I usually keep an eye on the "Undocumented Changes" thread for each update. So far, nobody else has reported any noticeable differences in the way cars handle. I only mention this because I know you said you were waiting for v1.19 before releasing new cars. If you're concerned about not having the car setup properly for v1.19, I'd like to alleviate your conce

Ridox, I have another question regarding your Ferrari F40 (EU Spec). This time it's about the transmission options...

Here is the transmission settings information from your build sheet:

DOG CLUTCH TRANSMISSION - Corrected EU Market Ratio Gear Set and Final
Install all power parts
Set Default
Set Final to 4.000
Set Auto Max Speed to 220kmh / 137mph ( lowest )
Adjust each gear :
1st 3.692
2nd 2.296
3rd 1.636
4th 1.284
5th 1.022
Final Gear : 2.727
Optimum Shift Point : 7400-7700 RPM ( as in real life )

OPTIONAL GEAR RATIO - Auto Motorsport Feb '89
DOG CLUTCH TRANSMISSION - Corrected EU Market AUTO Motorsport Mag 1989 Review Version Ratio Gear Set and Final
Install all power parts
Set Default
Set Final to 4.000
Set Auto Max Speed to 310kmh / 193mph
Adjust each gear :
1st 2.769
2nd 1.722
3rd 1.227
4th 0.963
5th 0.767
Final Gear : 3.620
Optimum Shift Point : 7400-7700 RPM ( as in real life )

My question is: Which of the two is the actual stock Ferrari F40 transmission? Both of them mention "corrected" and I noticed that what you have listed as an "optional gear ratio" is the only transmission option on your other Ferrari F40 EU Spec (the one from AUTO Motorsport Mag). I'm surprised at how different the two transmissions are. Do you have any idea WHY the gear ratios and Final Gear are so different?

I just ran a test on SSRX using the EU Spec F40 (not the AUTO Motorsport Mag EU Spec). I ran the No Cats 2 option with 556PP. My goal was to test and see when each transmission setup with get the car to the rev-limiter in 5th gear the quickest. I screwed up by running the test with a manual transmission whereas I should have used the automatic to ensure identical gear shifts (I'm assuming the computer shifts exactly the same in foot to the floor straight driving situations). I think I shifted extremely close to the red line in each gear each test. So, I think my results were good enough for me.

The transmission with the 2.727 FG ended up being a little faster than the transmission with the 3.620 FG. It hit the rev limiter with a faster top speed and about 200 meters sooner. I'm just guessing on that by looking at the markings on the ground that zip by at those speeds.

Still, I would like to know which is the transmission that would have come in the EU Spec F40 if I purchased the car from Ferrari of North America brand new. I would also like to know why the transmission specs from the AUTO Motorsport Magazine are drastically different. Did they replace the transmission for the review? That seems awfully shady to me...

Ridox, you made a boo-boo on your build sheet for the Ferrari F40 EU Spec. Up top where you list the general information for the vehicles, you listed the NO CATS Spec Option 1 as having 513 hp whereas the vehicle actually has 509 hp. The NO CATS Spec Option 2 is correctly listed as having 513 hp. I just thought you should know... 👍

Both are correct is what I would say :scared: I did a lot of research and various sources has the EU market ratio with the 2.727 final, but this one particular source ( Auto Motorsport ) has different final gear and ratio, so made a special replica version of it and include the ratios as optional for the EU market.

Here is the test report that should be used as reference for test on both final drive ratios :

Various test results from Auto Motorsport mag :

60kmh-100kmh in 4th gear rolling acceleration : 6.3s
80kmh-120kmh in 5th gear rolling acceleration : 8.5s
5th Gear speed at 1000 RPM : 43.5kmh

F40 speed on each gear at about 7400-7700rpm optimal shift point :
1st 90kmh
2nd 144kmh
3rd 201kmh
4th 255kmh
5th 321+kmh

Feel free to try it at SSR7 or SSRX :)

The US F40 has different ratios ( 2nd and 5th gear, as well as final drive at 2.900 ) to accommodate the performance gap due to heavier DOT approved F40 and better highway fuel consumption at top gear ( 5th ). Use US gear ratios for US F40 :) I will do some more checking on the US F40 and EU F40.

For the NO cats Option 1, I have to check it again, 509HP right ? :P

EDIT : Found the reason why the EU F40 and Auto Motorsport F40 are different, the Auto Motorsport final drive is using calculated idler gear ratio, while the EU F40 uses actual final drive, but the gear ratios ( 1st to 5th ) are calculated effective ratio with idler gear. Both achieve same speed on revlimit ( very close to each other ), I will have to make a decision of what to use or add additional notes. US F40 will have to be reworked as I have to make more research ( the US F40 tech manual has slightly different numbers ).

EU Spec Ferrari F40 No Cats Option 1 is 513hp! :D Both transmissions feel great. Like I said...running a straight line acceleration test on SSRX produced similar data. Not exact, but the cars are within a couple of car lengths - I think. Maybe I should pull the data into MoTeC just to verify it. Ugh...I just wish it was a little quicker exporting MoTeC data out via USB stick. I wish batch processing were possible too. It is such a fantastic tool and I never, ever use it anymore. :guilty:

EDIT: Oh, btw...Fantastic photo of the Nissan 370Z. Gorgeous!!

I have fixed US F40 gear ratio ( it uses actual final with individual gear ratio calculated using idler gear ), now it is correct according to the tech manual. For EU and Auto Motorsport F40 gear ratio, both aim the same result with different path, the EU uses similar path as US F40 where each gear has idler gear ratio included and uses actual final drive. The Auto Motorsport F40 gear ratio as stated in the magazine test uses actual individual gear ratio value but the final drive is calculated using idler gear instead, so it remains accurate/correct.

This happens in GT6, because the game do not include the idler gear when full custom transmission installed. The stock transmission do not seems to include idler gear in equation , hence it's not accurate.

Hoping to post some cars today :)

I will also do quick build on some early JGTC cars, Taisan F40 Starcard '94-'95, Calsonic R32 GTR JGTC '94 and Merceded Benz 190E 16v EVO II road :P

Thinking of adding another spec for F40 GT Full Power ( no restrictor ) at 590HP, and F40 LM at 700HP ( IMSA spec with 38mm restrictor ) or full power 785HP European GTC spec ( no restrictor ).

The Taisan #34 was originally F40 GT with 590HP/1050kg empty weight, competing in CSAI Italian GT ( owned by Jolly Club ), then it was sold to TAISAN, fully converted to F40 LM by Michelotto and also uses HKS suspension parts. The F40 LM engine spec has 785HP on full power, but in JGTC the power is limited to near stock 478+PS and minimum weight of 1200kg.

There several idler gear option for racing use that I might include in the replica post above, the real F40 GT/LM can be equipped with gearing that allowed it to reach close to 370kmh top speed. I mam considering to add stiffer spring rate combo for flatter track. The replica above was tested at Bathurst, Suzuka and Apricot Hill.

I've already built and check this beauty - Got 2:11.281 on third lap at Suzuka with ds3 and at , it steers like a race car and it's unstable when hitting gas on the apex like most cars

I've always loved the F40 so, when they revealed the LM version for racing in European GTC & at Le Mans, it just multiplied the feelings  I can remember it racing against the McLaren F1 around 1994/95. It actually won a round of the championship in Sweden (possibly France too).
Modifying the showroom spec F40 to visual LM spec was the first thing I checked in GT Auto. You can imagine my heartbroken disappointment...:banghead:
Mechanically though, that's a whole different prospect & I would encourage you to work your magic spanners on this classic 👍 :D
I loved the LM so much, I built 1/8th scale plastic model around 15 years ago. Unfortunately, it had the glass area & rear wing damaged when I moved house :(

The F40 LM in GT1 class BPR Global GT Endurance Series at Suzuka 1000km in 1995 was 5 seconds faster than Taisan F40 JGTC.

Just stopped in to say hey. The cars you have coming up look amazing. The newest seasonals are great for your replicas. The E92 M3 6sp did the job in the Willow Springs race and the TT-RS waxed the field at Apricot Hill. The Focus ST will be the chariot of choice for Rome. I cant wait to try the new cars youre working on.
