I did testing at GVS. The BMW is the King of the Valley, next was the NISMO 370Z and the last was the Hyundai...

More strategy, start from the front or rear,, which car to use  I will suggest to add a little more power on the NISMO and Hyundai ( 10HP probably enough ) or use one level higher grip tire ? The Hyundai is drifty on CS, SH will make it better, but so will the other pair, mmmm power and tire ...or power only so pit strategy can take more precedence with softer compound tire, more torque requires smoother driving on the low speed corners.

Wow! 4 cars to choose from? That will certainly make things interesting. Oh boy...my 370Z is back? That's my baby. I hope I can drive her as well at Grand Valley as I did at the Nordschleife! This is going to take a lot of testing. Damn... Good choice on the track. I don't drive there a heck of a lot, but I enjoy the layout. PD really needs to re-do this circuit for GT7. Imagine what GVS could look like with modern textures and a much higher polygon count!

I don't know, they need to be tested... :)

What sort of lap time did you get on the 1M ? I tested online, 2:17s mid/low for 370Z Touring Base with VLSD and Spoon S2000 with street alignment. Both tops close to 140mph on main straight and 1:30s last sector and 46s 1st sector ( roughly )

EDIT : The Hyundai Genesis also did 2:17s mid, with 46s 1st sector and 1:30s low last sector. It's more alive on lower speed, and requires more finesse. Tops at 140mph on main straight. More responsive acceleration.

All on lap 3 with plenty of fuel, could be in 2:16s easily with less fuel.

I did 2:15 low Offline Free Run with it and then I hunted its ghost with the others. :)

I noticed that the "Current Event" doesn't list the models of the cars, or the specifications (or links to tunes) of each eligible car. I'm assuming that's just because you guys are still testing them to figure out a Balance of Power (BOP)...?

Edited my post above, testing the 1M now ( 135i version )
I tested with the Tii '07 version. :)

Notes coming soon

My last play was racing at expert level FR seasonal at Willow Springs, driving my BMW 1 Series M coupe replica ( new build ) on CS with mere 466PP ( worn oil 330HP, 1600+kg, yellow worn chassis ) managed to win by doing BTCC style battle against the leader ( C7 Stingray ), got the lead in lap 5 1st turn, but the crazy ass mofo C7 AI is within my tailpipe until the last turn to finish, he pulled several bumping move, tried to pit me from inside, and the last turn, he tried to ram from the side on exit. I failed several times battling in the last turn and came in 2nd, but the last one, I became aggressive and hold the inside, blocking his line, he got crazy swerving left and right like hyper dog, and I had to keep blocking till finish line

The BMW 1 Series M coupe replica did consistent low 1:30s lap, and will need to finish the race in less than 8:10s time :P It's a real driver test race, where smooth is quick and passing is tricky to pull, especially on the 5th to 2nd car ( in packs ) and the leader C7 which can only be passed by doing late braking pass on last lap 1st turn, Gan-san / Motoharu Kurosawa style from Best Motoring ( get into the inside of his door side and held it to pass as you exit, forcing him to go wide and back off ) :D If the driver missed this chance to pass, it will be near impossible to pass the leader as the rest of the lap, even if the BMW can get close on corner entry, on the high speed corners and exit, the C7 will simply pull away with sheer power even if the BMW can draft within a car length.

Another run with 1M replica, this time with 135i version, at 335HP, 1611kg, 468PP, on CS tire, the 2nd car ( Alfa Romeo 8C this time ) was hot on my rear bumper to finish line, he tried to pit me several times on the last lap, talk about dirty Bob :P  He couldn't get closer on the first half of the last lap. Managed several 1:29s lap at Big Willow :D
Last lap, last half, the dirty Bob attacks :

And I went offroad and tried my best to get back on the tarmac to keep leading :
View attachment 385111
Another attempt to get me off the race, right before entering the last turn to finish :
View attachment 385112
This time, I managed to stay on the inside line and maintain the best possible speed to finish line with the crazy Bob hot on my tail.

Notes :

The Nissan Z34 370Z base replica is a build to replicate the base model 370Z offered with no LSD.

For power, the stock GT6 is already accurate enough at 331HP, just 1HP short from 332HP/337PS official power claimed by Nissan.
Weight uses Car & Driver 2009 370Z Touring model test data, with 1551kg and 56.0/44.0 distribution.
Suspension uses OEM Nissan spring rate at
FRONT OEM Linear 74 N/mm / 7.55 kg/mm
REAR OEM Linear 79 N/mm / 8.06 kg/mm

These are claimed official OEM rate, while when tested on Roehrig tester, the actual rate are 7.50 kg/mm and 8.10 kg/mm. I included these as optional.

The rate can be replicated in GT6, with damper and ARB tuned to give the 370Z good balance that it always famous for. The Fairlady 370Z Nissan OEM alignment has also been used.
Gear ratio is correct this time, and LSD has been set as close to open for base ( the real car with no sports package comes with open diff )
2 addiditonal LSD setup has been included, one is VLSD for sports package, this gives very good balance of traction and handling. While the other is the aggressive NISMO GT LSD with low preload and good locking power. This will transform the handling, more raw and edgy but more potential.

The 2009 370Z in Best Motoring test managed 1:06.669 lap, this is possible with the replica on CS tire. I have tested at Tsukuba, and with base ( open diff ) it managed 1:07.089 lap while the 370Z fitted with Nismo GT LSD can lap in 1:06.5xxs lap.

Enjoy the 370Z :)

Event created. Please, join early (now :P ). Build the beauties and then, Practice, Practice, Practice. ;)

I can't get on to GT6 tonight to get them sorted out but I'll get to them ASAP 👍 Got some work to catch up on for EAG, so I'll get myself registered later and then get to practising as soon as I can. I've not had the pleasure of getting to try the 1M or the Genesis yet, I'm really looking forward to trying these :) The Hyundai especially, that car has great potential in GT6 :D

Sure, my friend, take your time.

Grand Valley Speedway room is opened in the Fan Club Community Lobby. Come practice with this week's car(s)...

EDIT: I finished my practice session. I used the BMW, Hyundai and Nissan (no Honda specs yet). I didn't come close to your time @danbojte. I was fastest in the Hyundai. Not sure if it's truly the fastest of the three under my foot, or if it's because I was really warmed up by then, but the times went like 2:19, 2:18, 2:17... (best lap times of each) 2:15 is VERY fast & smooth driving. Well done... 👍

For Honda S2000 Spoon Sports, this is the setup that I tested, on par with the 370Z Base, Genesis 3.8 Track ( 1616kg ) and 1M ( 135i ), the S2000 excelled in handling and braking, but slightly outgunned in sheer top speed ( main straight ), just 1-3mph
