Errmm ???:confused: 86GT tune of the week ? where does it say that ? Is there a thread poll or nomination for the 86GT tune ? I don't see anything on tuning forum ...

But, if I got selected, I guess I am a happy camper :P, thanks for the congrats XS , you are the the 1st person who told me this. Now, I want to know what's the tune of the week is all about, and which tune  I have lots of 86GT replicas.

Thanks for the kind words Nomad, have you tried the updated McLaren F1 ? I made quite a few changes to the car :) Hope it drives great.

Thanks Salvaged1Gdsm, and for the X2014, yeah, reduce 2 each on initial and accel, see how it goes :)
If you like the S14, maybe you'll like the S13 Bee Racing, the replica is for sports medium, but you can always fit comfort tires for drifting on it, not sure if it's great for drifting, but worth a try

Thanks for ask'in but no, I have started up a NASCAR room as of late and haven't put too much time on the rd course, been running on Daytona tuning Cup Cars. I know its now everyone's cup of tea, turning left lol...however at 200 mph running in pak's for extended periods of time....its a rush and been hosting some great races.....well some not so great....from time to time you get the odd numb nuttz that wants to run backwards and destroy everyone's race....but you'll get those wherever you go :)

I am back today to look at and see about some updated tunes just need to figure out what ones I want to update, that I am gonna use. There is only so much time to race, have to choose wisely ;)

Notes :
ZERO SPORTS built this street tuned WRX that can be raced at the track. Using mostly N1 spec parts, extensive weight saving, comprehensive chassis reinforcement + roll cage, the car is almost stripped out, with only one driver seat, half stripped dash and Stack digital meter.

Power set at modest 339PS with focus on power delivery, traction and handling. Using Zero Sports own N1 Coilover Winning R spec, Zero Sports GT LSD 1.5 way all around, and upgraded drivetrain, the WRX RA was aimed at easy 1:02 lap at Tsukuba on Bridgestone RE520S Semi Slick ( Sports Hard ).

During the Tsukuba Tuner Car Battle event, the car was fitted with high performance range normal tire - equal to comfort soft in GT6. With a best lap of 1:03.66 during time attack session. This replica is capable of easy mid/high 1:03s. My best lap so far during testing session was 1:03.4xx after a few laps.

The stock Driver Controlled Center Differential ( Subaru DCCD )can be set using RA Menu, stock value is used at 35/65 ( highest rear value ), this gives the car a bit of freedom on corner exit just like the real car when driven at Tsukuba :D

The car is tuned to give the driver confidence from entry to exit, with good mid corner balance, the Zero Sports BTZ003 conquered the Tsukuba with ease. The replica also tested at Brands Hatch GP.

Aim to hit 1:03.66 or better on comfort soft at Tsukuba, this Zero Sports STI Type RA BTZ003 has great potential for racing, with lighter weight and more power at 350HP or more :D

UPDATE 1.07 : New improved damper setup and toe alignment for better rotation, also revised weight distribution to reflect real life Zero Sports balance.

Recommended setting for DS3 user :

Steering sensitivity at +1 or +2, all aids off, except ABS 1 ( if not comfortable with ABS 0 ) with 5/5 brake balance as starting point.

Notes :

The car chosen is NISMO R32 GTR S-Tune '00, as I felt it has the closest external appearance and has a good base for tuning. It's also looks much more aggressive than the premium R32 :D

This car was built over a month time period, I worked on the car every few days, collecting data and tuning. The MINE'S R32.5 was built and tested exclusively at Tsukuba. Equipped with sports medium ( R comp/soft semi slick ), the car can do easy flat 59s consistently. The real time record is 59.181s. The replica should be able to do 58s or less :) My best time is low 58s with ABS 0.

Weight distribution it set to real life MINE'S R32.5, with much lighter weight and engine mods, the front gets a bit heavier at 58/42 distribution. Using MINE's ESTA PRO Edition system and OHLINS base, the spring set at 12k/10k, to make the car more neutral, damper and arb has been tuned to help the front easier to managed. For this build I used NISMO GT LSD with custom locking rate on braking side and torque preload optimized for the NISMO ATTESA-ETS Pro system used. The car has twin plate clutch as stock, so no need to upgrade. While the brakes gets racing kit, this is optional, stock brakes works just as good, increase brake balance to 8/8 :)

Aim to have flat 59.1xx lap time at Tsukuba with above tune, enjoy

Mine's R32? Nice, can't wait to drive it!

Tune updated :D I just tested the car at Bathurst, it drives pretty good on comfort soft there :)👍, just have to be careful with front heavy balance, lift off earlier to avoid unnecessary push up the hill.

Don't be afraid to give the car rough treatment, brake, point and full throttle with a bit of sideways action

GT AUTO
No oil change yet - feel free to do so.
Improve Body Rigidity ( optional - not installed in this build ) - there's no bad side effect of this, highly recommended.
Wheels : Stock
Car Paint : Stock

Tuning Parts Installed :
Racing Exhaust
Suspension Fully Customizable Kit
Adjustable LSD
Racing Brakes Kit

AERO :
Downforce Front / Rear : 350 / 730 ( STOCK - please adjust according to track ) - try to maintain 250-500 gap value between front and rear or adjust to suit your style ( less gap will make the car looser in high speed + slight top speed increase less rear used )

LSD - 2 way high preload - improved
Initial Torque : 30
Acceleration Sensitivity: 22
Braking Sensitivity: 46
Higher braking to reduce rear chatter when coasting and trail braking, reduced acceleration to reduce understeer and sudden changes in traction when under extreme load, initial torque optimized for balance between stability and response.

Suspension - improved
Front, Rear

Ride Height: 75 85
Spring Rate: 14.45 20.50 ( medium setup )
Dampers (Compression): 5 4
Dampers (Extension): 4 10
Anti-Roll Bars: 6 3
Camber Angle: 0.2 0.0 ( alters the balance of grip between front and rear - higher camber up front reduce the front sensitivity to steering to make it less twitchy ) I recommend between 0.2 to 1.2 - adjust to style and track.
Toe Angle: -0.10 0.10 - increase rear toe in if want more stability, I recommended no more than 0.24

For Spring Rate F/R- alternative soft setup : 11.24 / 15.97 or hard setup : 17.94 / 25.47 or super hard : 19.64 / 27.88 -TESTED

Transmission

Stock gearing, only alter final to suit track.

Brake Balance
9/5 ( personal BB) or for ABS 0 wheel : 3/2, for ABS 1 - feel free to use your preferred brake balance.

Recommended setting for DS3 user :

Steering sensitivity at +1 or +2, all aids off, except ABS 1 ( if not comfortable with ABS 0 ) with 5/4 brake balance as starting point.

Notes :
This tune is made to help drivers tame the car, as the stock base setup is not very friendly and has too much front grip bias.

The camber quirk of zero value giving more instantaneous grip is used to alter the balance of the car when coasting and in mid corner to exit ( sustained grip during cornering seems to be fine and works as it should with camber changes ).
Brake balance set to rear bias helped the car under braking instability, the 2 way LSD also helped giving better traction both on and off throttle. All it takes some minor adjustment and the car becomes much better to drive, stable, and quick.

Tuned and tested at Brands Hatch GP, Bathurst, Silverstone Stowe, Apricot Hill, Nordschleife and Silverstone Full Track.

The R8 LMS Ultra Team Phoenix ver 1.03 able to lap Brands Hatch GP at 1:23s easily ( PB 1:22.2xx stock gearing, stock aero with the above tune ) and Mt Panorama Bathurst at consistent 2:05s ( PB 2:04s ) using stock aero + gearing - same tune above ( LSD and suspension ). All on Racing Hard, stock power no oil change.

The tune has also been tested with max power setup at over 900HP, works great, adjust gearing, aero and spring rate according to the track, enjoy

A video of the car when tested during tuning session ( 2:07 at Mt Panorama ) ver. 1.02 tune :

UPDATE : Suspension has been revised, better stability and more responsive steering :)

UPDATE ver 1.03 : Suspension and LSD has been overhauled, now it's several seconds faster around Brand Hatch GP and Bathurst on 599PP. Stability improved mid corner and exit, entry also improved a bit. Understeer has also been reduced.

NEW UPDATE 1.04 : Improved front damper setup to allow better weight transfer and better compliance on bumpy track.

Added Note for top speed run ride height and spring rate :

Ok, so I've been racing ovals a lot lately...some Rd course but with the Nissan GT-R...so today I decided after a long hiatus to put my Audi back on Panorama. Well, lets just say the horrors of the cars handling came back pretty quick lol. Anyway I have been using your tune, as its IMO the best out there for this car and track.

I was at an embarrassing 2:20xxx soon brought to a little less embarrassing 2:15xxx but obviously had a long way to go...managed to bring it down and broke the 2:10's. However I thought I would play with the diff and tire stagger (well thats really impossible in this game however the closest I can think of is mixing compounds)...anyway... was wondering if you you've tried this yet.

So, diff settings 11 25 20 and a harder compound up front. So for example, Soft rear and Med up front. Using your Alt hard spring set up 17.94/25.48 promptly brought my times down 2:07xxx first pass.

I really felt under high speed braking the car would be all over the track...that diff setting seems to settle the car down a bit. Moreover the over-steer I was getting under braking or slower speeds braking into turns has eased off considerable for me and I seem to be able to get on the power sooner without fear of the back end kicking out on me....note I am using a stick not the wheel.

Anyway, give it a whirl and let me know what you think.

Oh, and do you notice a weird audio (digital) break up of engine noise with this car?

Yeah, Nomad, the tire mix trick is known a long time ago, it's one of the easy fix besides ballast and massive toe at the rear. For diff settings, it's more to driver preference, if you can drive better with lower value, you should stick with it. The main cause you can drop the times down is the tire, with harder compound at the front, the front grip bias with same compound is gone, and now the car has almost neutral grip balance on the tires.

The tune I made has a goal to reduce the issue with the car only with tuning suspension and LSD :) If you combine this with tire mix, it will be even better, and I leave that to the driver to decide :)👍

I haven't got issue with audio yet. I do have read about audio cutting out when online, do you by any chance have fat PS3 ? They often have issues with GT6 ( freezes, online problem, frame stutter, audio issue etc )

Notes :
This car is built according to a J's Racing built customer track racer back in the late 90's, the car was sold off and left Japan to live as track day car. Information for the build is very hard to find, I have to scour forums, and J's Racing sites, and finally got a user who have been close with the car owner that can give me further details on power specs for the J's Racing B18C race engine, suspension, LSD etc.

The car is one mean FF machine, the body has been gutted, reinforced and fitted with a roll cage, weighs at 1040 kg. Powerplant came from J's Racing hand built B18C racing engine producing 220PS at the wheel, the engine alone costs more than half the price of a brand new Del Sol at over a million yen

LSD uses J's Racing High Traction model with low initial torque, 55/25 cam angle and locking rate tuned for R comp Semi Slick ( S tire or Sports Medium in GT6 ). Final gear also uses J's Racing 4.7 ratio built to withstand higher power for racing. Suspension has been upgraded with newer J's Racing CRUX Engineering SPL version Racing Damper Kit, with spring rate set at 14/10 aimed at racing on the track.

For GT6 replica, I tuned and tested mainly on Tsukuba and Nurb GP/F using comfort soft tires. The power might overwhelm the street tire easily on low speed exit and tight turns, modulate the throttle if necessary.

At Tsukuba the car managed easy 1:05s flat on sports medium with 1:04 within reach or maybe even 1:03. This Del Sol has pretty tight handling overall, but still relatively easy to rotate and throw around with smooth throttle and steering. Always trail brake and slow in fast out :D

ENJOY

Mmm, do you have music enabled ? It may be glitch due to custom music playlist, who knows ? I don't use music - I deleted the playlist and turn the volume off :)

Well, I have been building an M3 GTS replica for a request, it's based on M3 Chrome Line :) 444HP/328 ft lb, 1530kg, 50.8/49.2 weight distribution, 506PP.

Tested on Nurb GP/F, easy consistent 2:21s on comfort soft just like real life record.

I have had help from fellow car enthusiasts getting the suspension details based on real car suspension shots and LSD setup feedback :) The car is very neutral and loose in a good way on comfort tires, haven't tested sports tire yet.

Will post it soon.

LSD - 1.5 way J's Racing High Traction LSD
Initial Torque : 18
Acceleration Sensitivity: 33
Braking Sensitivity: 17

DOG CLUTCH TRANSMISSION - Stock gearing with J's Racing 4.7 Final Gear
Set Default
Set Final to 4.700
Set Auto Max Speed to 280kmh / 174mph
Adjust each gear :
1st 3.230
2nd 2.105
3rd 1.458
4th 1.107
5th 0.848
6th 0.700 ( feel free to set according to your needs or simply ignore it as the real car has only 5 speed )

Brake Balance:
8/10 ( personal BB) or for ABS 0 wheel : 6/8, for ABS 1 - feel free to use your preferred brake balance. I would recommend to run two click higher on rear brake.

Recommended setting for DS3 user :

Steering sensitivity at +1 or +2, all aids off, except ABS 1 ( if not comfortable with ABS 0 ) with 8/10 brake balance as starting point.

ENJOY
Hey @Ridox2JZGTE , you read my mind. :) Can't wait to try it; I'm very curious... I'll give it a try at 400PP too. 👍

Notes :
BMW M3 GTS, with 444HP/450PS, 1530kg. The replica is built upon request, I researched BMW M forums, press releases, car reviews and consulting owners of M3 via forum.

Suspension damper settings are adapted from real life setup and KW recommended setup, use these to your preferences. Try them all, and see which one works best for given track and tire used. Personally I used winding/twisty setup. Improve Body Rigidity is optional, I suggest to install it only when you feel the car is too loose as it makes is a bit more responsive but tighter.

The replica uses comfort soft tires in order to replicate lap time accurately. The M3 GTS managed to lap Nurb GP/F in easily consistent 2:21s just like real life lap time record.

I decided to combine 6th and 7th into one, the replica uses real life 7th for 6th. Please read the notes on gear ratio section for explanation. Shift up from 5th to 6th on redline.

When tested at Nordschleife, the car managed sub 8 minutes with ease on comfort soft tire, so it should be able to replicate real life lap record easily.

Use the brakes to rotate on entry and throttle to steer the car one exit :D I have lots of enjoyment driving this replica, hopefully you will too.

UPDATE 1.16 : Updated alignment, toe and camber.

ENJOY

I try and try, but not able to get your tranny settings...won't allow me to set 160mph,,,,155 or 162, which if course after first gear I can not set any of the others, my values won't go low enough...done the usual suspects....thought maybe power etc...just can't get it.

You need to install all power parts first. Then change to stock gearbox then change back to full custom, change top speed to 250kmh/155mph, leave the final at stock value, then you should be able to set each gears, after that set final to 3.154.

Should be 155mph, I will edit my tune.

K, thanks bud...I was banging my head here lol...thought maybe it was the oil change ...will try that

Ok, that worked...yeah I new about the power add on's first....but going to the default tranny then 155mph did the trick....will give it a go and see how I do

I like it Ridox 👍 It had all the signature handling characteristics I enjoy....It got that little hop around the corners...that tells you....ok you're at your limit, its also a littttttle loose and nothing I can't resolve,...moore like a happy loose, rather than I just soiled myself loose . I will have to play with 6 gear and reel it in for Nuremberg. That last straight its just too high of a gear.

So, I ran..First lap and clean 7:58:xxx That's a little slow, but for me, first lap on a new tune..its 2+ sec faster than the other 1st lap clean. I also held back so I make sure I get my baseline ghost that is clean, then will improve from there.

I just want to thank you for taking the time to does these tuns for the community. I am sure you can never hear enough thanks as it shows the appreciation of the time it takes to post these for us...and its value to us as a community.

My hats off to anyone that puts in the kind of time like yourself to share with others...thank you my friend

My hats off to anyone that puts in the kind of time like yourself to share with others...thank you my friend

Did you get the gearing working ? The BMW should reach at least 190mph on 6th with enough road, but on the ring long straight it reached around 170+mph.

I am happy the car suited your style, by the way, which damper setup do you find best on the Ring ? I used the Track - high stability damper for Nurb GP/F ( tighter and less prone to oversteer ) and Winding/Twisty for Nordschleife. Did you built the Coupe or the Chrome Line version ? Both are fun to drive, but I prefer the Chrome Line for it's extra torque ( I have both with improve body rigidity installed ). If you haven't installed body rigidity, you might want to try it on another car, you might like it ( it make the car a bit more stable/responsive for me )

I will post another 450PP FF J's Racing Honda soon, this one is a sleeper

I had to bring in 6th 1.200 I believe and I am hitting the rev limiter at the second overpass/sign on final straight..175mph...maybe just a little more adjustment.

I didn't install the rigidity yet wanted to give it a good go before installing...as in some cases, if doesn't compliment the car... and I have both cars...yes you're right the Chrome is a little better with the higher torque IMO pulls you outta the turns better for sure.

I have noticed a litttttle oversteer put its fun! though if I want my times to come down significantly, I will have to tighten it up a tad. Overall I am liking you set up. Dampers I am using 5/5 and 4/4 set up for now.

Do you mean 5/4 and 5/4 ? :D Play around with all the damper setups, different driver, different preferences :) I often use body rigidity on my replicas and tunes, so far it made them better for me, if you have spare credits, give it a go and try all the dampers combo, it may just be better, who knows.

Nope been using 5/5 comp and 4/4 ext will try moving them around a bit for sure. One thing I did notice, get rid of the camber and O it off, gained a couple sec on that alone.

I have lots of credits 20 million or somewhere there about...been buying a couple of cars lately so maybe off by a million... I will try the rigidity for sure...just want to try some other stuff before I make that jump as its a no return policy lol. Oh, and I brought 6th up to 1.175...that seems to of done the trick 179mph before I had to back off of the gas
