I have a couple of questions about your BMW M4 AC Schnitzer ACS4 Sport Replica, @lBt_33...

You say to install AERO KIT TYPE B, however the aero kit on your BMW in the photos and the aero kit on the real world AC Schnitzer ACS4 Sport looks a lot more like AERO KIT TYPE A.

Also, you install SPECIAL WING - TYPE A, which gives us the carbon fiber trunk spoiler, but the real world AC Schnitzer ACS4 Sport seems to have a much bigger rear wing. Unfortunately, we don't have a rear wing to choose that places the wing mounts so close together, but I'm wondering if it would still be more accurate to go with a Custom Rear Wing anyway.

Let me know what you think... 👍

Ahah always error in first try...

1- Actually it's the type A, i think i commit a mistake when i wrote the post

2- Look at the Post (edited), i give you an optional wing, but i'm not totally satisfied to the wing... And i've seen that many of ACS4 have not the beautiful carbon wing but the special wing type A :D

Edit : now corrected for the aero parts... Just confusion, i was working in another car in same time...

Ahh okay... It looks good with either wing. Gorgeous car!! :D Hmmm...I am getting 533PP, but with 509 hp and 479.0 ft-lb with the power limiter at 96.5% and oil change applied. It seems my figures are slightly different than yours.

Okay...I'm heading out for the track! Time to burn some rubber. :D

Ah... Because i use french horsepower (are not the same than hp) and Nm, so i must convert all that... Just be at 510hp, maybe with 96.7 ? Tell me i'll edit that

NOTES

The ACS4 Sport is an incredible modified M4 by Ac Schnitzer, a german tuner. Very powerful, this car in sport hard is capable of 2:18 at Bathurst with Racing Tune.

Ac Schnitzer propose 2 suspension setup, one semi-lowered (that i call Road), and one full lowered (Racing). The racing have a homemade suspension by AC, so i took original specs ans upgrade it, only for the racing tune. Normally racing mode use sport hard, road mode use confort soft.

I upgrade the engine to have the closest torque and power of the real one. Not a gigantic delivery of power, but that's enough to burn tyres :D

Transmission and LSD are the original, same for weight (that i corrected from official bmw weight without driver).

Hope you'll enjoy it, fun with both setup, i wait your reviews for my first replica ;)
Okay...I just finished up a mini testing session with my brand new AC Schnitzer ACS4 Sport BMW M4 Replica by @lBt_33. I drove a handful of laps at both Nurburgring GP/D & Suzuka 2014 and then I finished up with a twirl around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Initial impressions are very positive! 👍 This car packs a lot of power and a lot of low-end torque, which is great.

First things first...You need to exercise some remarkable throttle control with this car, especially on a shorter track. My God, I will have to take this to Tsukuba and see what kind of mischief I can get into there. Forget about slamming your foot to the floor in 2nd gear unless your steering wheel is perfectly straight and/or you're heading downhill. This ACS4 Beemer will just roast the tires (CS rubber was the only compound I tested) through 2nd gear if you mash the pedal. It was even spinning 3rd gear occasionally! :D

With all this power and torque that comes on right away, a driver like myself benefits greatly. I can leave it in 3rd gear and still power out of corners and the same could be said about 4th gear from time to time. Quite often, I find myself with a chassis that's all unbalanced from my abrupt downshifting and then I need to get the car settled down before I can punch the gas again. This engine is ready to deliver you power through a very wide range of revs, so don't be too worried about being in a gear too tall. Of course, the 7 speed transmission plays a part in that too, the way the gears are spaced...

The suspension felt nice. I only tested the Street setup, but don't let the name fool you. It is plenty stiff for ripping around the track. In fact, there were a few moments along the Nordschleife where I wished the dampening was a little softer, for a street setup, but it wasn't terrible. Just keep both hands on the wheel through the bumpy sections. :D That stiffness really helps with the lateral grip in this car. Even with CS tires I felt extremely confident she would hold on high speed turns.

There might be a hint of understeer in this ACS4 Sport BMW, but if so, it is so easy to correct with your right foot. A blip of the throttle can have this car sideways, if you so wish, so take a few laps to get a feel of where that line is. The brakes on this car felt okay at 5/5. I have a feeling, once I spend some more time with this car, I will probably make a slight adjustment to either 6/5 or 5/6...Normally I prefer a tick higher in the rear, but rotation is not a problem with this car.

If you're a fan of BMW's, I highly recommend building this AC Schnitzer ACS4 Sport BMW M4 Replica immediately! 👍 The M4 is an amazing car on it's own, but the ACS4 Sport kicks it up an extra notch in the hooligan department. And how can you not like that big back wing on a BMW? :D Well done, @lBt_33!

THANKS A LOT ! :D

That's really an excellent car, i just fell in love, try maybe the racing and SH tyres, more stiffness, but you can use it too in a cruise or in the road.

About the power and chassis, i made this replica because i see this car in a car magazine:lol: So, i try to tune to be the more realistic and closest to the impression of the driver in the magazine! It's write that you need to be very smooth with the throttle, i think it's well done haha

The road setup is very close to the factory setup. But with +80hp to the original M4, this car become a beauty beast. Try the Racing setup, you willl love, more stiff, more grippy but same enjoyement !

About the transmission, it's exactly the same than factory, sad that AC Schnitzer didn't made an homemade gearbox...

I see this sentence "Quite often, I find myself with a chassis that's all unbalanced from my abrupt downshifting and then I need to get the car settled down before I can punch the gas again." I think it's because the street setup is very soft, maybe i will change...

So, if you enjoyed the car, its handling, its power and its beauty, my first try of a replica sounds ike a success !👍;)

Edit : i just see that you wish the street tune would be softer, but i feel that there are not so stiff... There are very close to the factory...

Phew... I just finished a rather lengthy session in my Lamborghini Diablo Base Model Replica. After a couple of laps around Nordschleife I decided to switch to Cockpit View/Drivers Eye View. I'm not very good with that camera view. I wish that I had chosen that as my default view when I first started playing GT6. It's just so much more immersive driving in Cockpit View. Unfortunately, some of the habits I have, or just technique that I have developed revolves around the front bumper camera view that I always use -- that places you in the middle of your cars bumper. Driving in Cockpit View, obviously you are either sitting in the right or left seat and you're not centered like you are with bumper view. That throws me off quite a bit.

I really wish I had the balls to use Cockpit View all the time. I need to at least start practicing with it every time that I play GT6. I will. For about a week. Then I'll do it once or twice a week, for another week. Then it'll be forgotten about... Ugh... I suck. :banghead: :grumpy:

Ooops! Before I forget...I love, love, love your Diablo's @Ridox2JZGTE!! :D You really did a great job on your Lamborghini builds. 👍 Lamborghini Week here in Ridox Replica Garage was like the greatest 2-3 weeks of my life... Sad...I know!! Screw Shark Week. We've got Bull Week!

Keep at it mate. Nothing beats the cockpit/in-car view, especially at night in the rain without the driving line

Oh, I haven't used the Driving Line in forever. Thankfully, I listened to the people here on GTP who screamed at me to stop using it when I was a total n00b. That was probably early 2014 that I stopped...March or April maybe.

I rarely ever drive at night or in the rain. I just feel like I can't see anything at night. I think maybe my eyes are going... But I do like setting the time to early morning, just as the sun is rising, or just as the sun is beginning to set. That's usually very nice. 👍

Oh...that reminds me... Are you familiar with an Australian TV show called "Wentworth", @Pete05? It's about a woman who gets sent to jail/prison. A friend recommended it to me and I've been watching it on Netflix. I like it. It's okay... I'm just always curious, when I watch a foreign show, is that considered a decent show in Australia? Or am I watching the show that everyone makes fun of? Either way...I'm going to keep watching it - I like it. I just get curious as to what is thought of the show in it's homeland.

That's good to hear about you not using the driving line. I've never used it myself but had to have it on when I played with a mate. He had a memory like tea strainer and couldn't remember things from one lap to the next.
The good thing about driving at night is, you can't see what's possible to hit if you get it wrong. I remember reading about guys that did the night stint in 24 hour races & them saying that sometimes they lap faster at night than during the day. Without the scenery flashing past, they don't get the sensation of just how bloody fast they're going!
Wentworth is not in free-to-air TV here so I've never seen an episode. From what I've heard & read, it's not a bad show. It's actually based on a show from the late 70's to mid 80's made a 2 minute drive from my house called 'Prisoner' which centred on life in a Women's Prison. I used to watch the original on a religious basis & only missed a handful of episodes. It had a cult following here & was exported to the UK & other places. If I recall correctly, it even had a stage play.

I must activate the Ridox signal. I hope our caped crusader of cars will see this signal...for I am in desperate need of a tune. I hate not being able to drive my Murcielago Chrome Line. Nobody seems to have a tune for this car. The showroom setup is absolutely terrible. The rear end just comes around on you with any medium speed, or higher, turn. I start a lap at Ascari and the car wants to spin before I even cross the start/finish line to begin my lap. I just spent about 90 minutes trying to tame this animal myself, but I think I made it even worse. Oh...I am hopeless.

I'm about to go rob a Best Buy just so I can send Ridox a TV. :D

@ALB123, try the settings for the Murcielago coupe replica (I think it's number 82 on the list in the OP) I'm sure there is some difference in power due to added parts on the chromeline model but it pretty much the same car. I think they should work ok.

Any suggestions to a car to replicate ?
I made a suggestion to Ridox months ago & I know it's somewhere on his looooooong list of cars to replicate but I'd like to see the Mini Cooper 1.3i '98 used as a basis for the original Morris Mini Cooper S 1275 from the mid 1960's.

If Ridox want some help, i'm here :crazy:

I was driving my favourite replica, the Aventador LP750-4 SV, and i was very bored...
So, i was looking to find a thing to do with it, and i discovered the phenomenal Nurburgring record of this car ! 6.59.73...

Just an amazing lap ! And i was thinking, could i try to egal this record ?
And you know what ? Yes, i've done this ! 6.59.723 !

This, is the proof that the replica of Ridox are so much close from the real car :bowdown:

Wow! That's a heck of a lap. I struggle with Ridox's Aventadors because of the weight... What tires did you have on your Aventador SV for the sub-7 minute lap?

Which Aventador are you using? Is it the original one or the SV one?Cause it makes a whole lot of difference...LP700 can screw you over and over, while LP750 is so stable even on CS tires that you can easily get in 7'10(well I am not that skilled:P).The LP750,in my opinion,is the most OP car of the class, like putting Mike Tyson against Mitch Green, just total overkill;)
Back on topic though, whether you get the lap time online or offline seems to make a difference too.Cars used offline feel more grippy,so it might help to get the lap time if you are currently practicing online.Hope it helps!!!

And you just can't 7.10 in CS, too less grip (i've watch the vidéo of record, which they have g latéral force )

Well I won't say that it can't achieve that lap time with just CS tires. It depends on drivers IMO.Many people here, especially the ones who frequently participate in races held by Ridox's fan club, are quite skilled,if not on racers' level, and they can really set records that I can never achieve.I can only say the world is very big LOL.
