Ripper Tuning Garage - 14/10/13 - Farewell.

Actually that was a mistake, I only used the TCS on the Cien initially, I forgot to remove it from the first post :dunce:
Some slight adjustments to the Cien then... then it'll be fine :)

Fix'd. Thanks for bringing that up.

Oh ok, i'll be sure to try some of your tunes and leave some feedback ;) 👍

next tune: Ferrari p4?,

The gorgeous Chaparral 2D. Neglected and forgotten in favour of its big brother, the hideous 2J, and the 20 million quartet, a gem hidden away inside the cycles of the UCD. Brought back to life here.

Just on a driving note, although this thing is very quick, do not under any circumstances drop below about 2000-3000rpm, as the 3-speed gearbox is the Achilles' heel of this car. I've tried various things with the ratios but it appears not much will improve it... The Mid RPM Range Turbo helps somewhat, but it still takes forever to accelerate from low revs, but once you're in the powerband, you really are off.

It's as rare as it's pretty... When I saw it in the UCD while cycling for the 2J, instantly bought it, screw the fridge on wheels

Have you had any luck using that website that predicts your future UCD?

I'll admit I've never seen the point of duping cars to send to people, I mean, yes, if you really need it for a certain event then fair enough, but I find satisfaction in waiting for that one day when the car you've always wanted pops up in the UCD...

Next tune: The German horsepower beast. Guess away! :)

It'll be up the next time I can get to my PS3... which could be a while away... due to exams and what not :grumpy:

EDIT: No, it won't be, too wild a beast with TCS off...

It's how I got my 2D. Every time I've used it to tell me what's coming next in my UCD, it's always been correct, down to the model year. Acquired a bunch of cars with it. 👍

A Non-Reviewers, Review
TVR T350C '03
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=7003731

Checking out the newer garages here at GTP I came into Ripper Tuning Garage and one car stood out to me TVR T350C '03. Why? One word in the description, "FUN".

Now I am a big fan of the TVR brand. The looks, the performance, and there paint :D. The only problem that most of them have is the uncontrollable oversteer. The T350C is no different. Lets see what "The Piano Man" has done to this car, shell we?

caperingperiphery1w.jpg

The speed and acceleration are not eye poping but very solid. The gearing matches very well with the output of the torque and power. The LSD setting, which I was unsure about, is very good. So good that I am in amazement. Very impressed

The handling is also very good. Turn in is great. Rotation through the corner is very good. Power out of the corner is what you want it to be. If you want a controlled slide, yep you can. If you want to slowly put power to the wheels and grip out of the corner, yep you can. And if you want to make the car turn a 360, you guessed it, you can :D.

As for the fun that I was looking for, oh I found it :D. The ease of the drive, mixed with some hidden insanity, this car is a blast. Great tune trackripper, amazing job 👍

Oh, be ready for this kind of thing :dopey:

Thanks for the review krenkme :)
That kind of controlled sliding around a corner was what I was aiming for, since, let's be honest, there's nothing as depressing as turning into a corner and finding out your car simply won't do it and understeers wide :P

You are most certainly welcome. It is a very easy and fun car to drive, and you have a great tune with it. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your tunes :dopey:

I have a few tunes lined up to be published after the SuperGT/JGTC shootout is done, since I'm reluctant to publish new tunes that will obscure the Impreza.

Start guessing this car though: Possibly the most quirky car in GT5. :P

Ok, I lied, due to my entry into the GT500 class of the Super GT/JGTC shootout, the next tune isn't quirky, it's just a race car :P

It's fairly tail happy, but it was either that or understeer... And I figured on-throttle oversteer people can deal with, understeer people cannot :P

Gorgeous. Better looking than the E-Type Jag I think actually. Has a really nice throaty exhaust note too.
Anyway, this car is a little hairy under braking, due to lack of ABS (I think), but otherwise it's a great little nimble tune that can wipe the floor with those family hatchbacks you're normally pitched against at this PP.

A little fiery rocket. It'll grip onto the track like a terrified toddler grips onto its mother's hand. Weighs about the same as a toddler too.
