RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Wondering if you can do a tune for a n/a Ferrari F40? Not for any particular track, just a good all round one. Any tune I get for it seems to have put a turbo on. I've done all upgrades, but don't want to put a turbo on it.
Cheers!

I can't remember telling you this...but if I did then oh well, at least you know again.

I sent in the extended LFA GT review to the magazine and Schwadegan has got the article. Now we have to wait to see how long it takes for it to come out :dopey:

And as for the videos, my ideas are currently going to fail because I can't drive as well as I hoped. Was planning on doing a Gymkhana with Juliet but I'm hopeless :( and also the LFA GT doesn't want to behave itself when drifting :(

So. Much. Off-topic banter.

Sorry for the delay of the reviews, it goes to show how much lazy I am, what a shame. :guilty:

Tried the BLITZ ER34 tune and I was impressed, but I did it with race softs because I want a more Nurburgring 24h-car feel. I guess this will go first before anything else when it comes to my detailed reviews.
Agreed. Cut the spam guys, come on now.

Did it feel weird to not drift the ER34? I cant not feel weird when I'm gripping with it. Cant wait for thr reviews! 👍

I'm going to do an F40 on sports soft tyres after I come back from my holiday. :)

Well as I've said I want the feel of a car that entered the Nurburgring 24h weeks ago so I try not to drift. Feels good though.

One question Roj, should I just extend the gears by changing the final drive ratio in case I want a higher top speed without re-doing the tranny settings from scratch? I have a feeling that the ER34 will now be one of my official racers online, and I want to know how to let the car adapt to stuff easily.

I'd say you should try the Golf out. Although I say that having not tried it :boggled:

Also one car I'd like to give a try is the Annihilator. I was lucky enough to be able to get an ABT Touring Car from my last Level 17 ticket (which I opened a while ago :boggled: ) and I wanna try it out. I still refuse to admit the IS-F RC is of a lower authority though :mischievous: Also I have a 240ZG to try out the Purple Devil Z on as well and the CR-Z tunes which I plan to use for the fan fic hiring, but toned down (still haven't made a final decision as to which I'm using yet, but there's a whole month so eh), not to mention NSX R1 (who I've been using LDP's tune for a while now. Except I'm supposed to be reviewing that  ).

Tried the Annihilator ages ago, it just annihilates. Which means you should go ahead :mischievous:

The CT230 is an absolute blast to drive on Tsukuba :). Your setup lapped the fastest time on that track for me then any other HKS tunes. Gearing is perfect for that track buddy, great job!

You do know that a stock F40 has a twin-turbo V8, don't you?
The reason everyone updates the turbos is because of the huge lag you get with the standard ones.

Yeah if you need the extra top end, move the final ratio. It wont mess up the individual ratios so you dont have to worry about that.

I saw a Veyron in person for the first time today. Its ugly, but fast. Although parked next to a Bentley Continental and a Mulsanne...

Which made me realize the notable absence of street-legal Bentleys. Which reminded me of the brilliant 908 I have no access to. Oh well.

No ZZII tune? What can i do to get this?

Just taking a suggestion....
Anybody who would like to try some of the more expensive tunes that have been done. I have 6 of the most expensive tunes done by them available to borrow on my account at the moment. If you would like to try them please do add me on PSN. They will be there for a few days and i really am not looking to increase my friends list so chances are you will be removed when the cars are taken down.

The ZZII will be released after August. :)

I'm flying off tomorrow afternoon, frantic last-minute packing time!

Have fun! :D It's damn near 40ºc over there, I'd bring a few cold things along if I were you………although that said, at 5:00PM, it'll start raining. Heavily.

It was 37.7777 etc C here day before yesterday. 100F. It's now just past noon and only 79F. So that's nice, I'm not dying.

Oddly our AC worked better when it was hotter out.

I shall! :D

Yeah I've been looking at the weather reports. Heavy rain but the temperatures will still be above 30. Luckily I'll be in a taxi. :)

Surely it must suck having to bring a coat to a summer holiday. :ill:

But anyways, see you same time next month (and a third) and...good luck. ;)
I was going to bring one anyway, always prepared I am. :D
Wrong. I have a Prius tune. Car sucks in general, but a little less now lol.

Ah you posted it a few days before I said that, guess I missed it because it wasn't in Adrenaline's thread. Actually my Prius wasn't in his thread either. Bugger. Welcome to the Prius tuner club! :dopey:

Byeee!!!! Have fun!!!! :D Won't miss you!!!! :D and if you come back and forget how to tune, just drive your girlfriend, the NSX-R, you'll remember straight away!
See you in a month!!! :)

Yes. Two of the elite tuners here at GTP. :sly:

And on that bombshell, I'll see you guys in a month!

Yay, now I have more time to procrastinate and to leave you depressed about my reviews not out yet! :P Jokes aside, see ya on August. Inside the spoiler is two of my requests to you:

First, once you release the Countach tune, name it in a fancy Spanish name such as "El Toro Diablo". Just something Spanish and related to bulls. And second, drop by the Nurburgring after, my girl will be waiting for her pink car after your vacation.

Are there any plans to continue with the Type R tunes?

I'm looking for a Civic Type R EU 01 tunes, cant seem to find one...... :/

Here is my review of the Enzo GT. As far as cars this is one of my favorite. The Enzo is light and very fast. Even with the lack of front down force this car is one wicked beast. Your garage's tune has turned a great car into a even better racer. The car grip great at high speed and is very quick. As a track racer it is nearly unbeatable. I have also drag my Enzo against most it kills the other. There are other garages who have a little faster tune for drags but none that have a better setup for track racing. I would recommend your tune to anyone anytime over any garage out there. I have ran a few of your guy's setups and was very impressed with the great improvement in the cars. You guys just make the cars fun to drive and that is what most racers want. I think if the Enzo had a front spoiler it would be perfect but your garage has fine tuned it to make up for the lack of front down force and make this car in my eyes the top 5 cars in the game. And to those who hate the Enzo is because they have not tried your tune and seen the power of the true Enzo GT. So I say I give your tune a 98.9 out of 100. Feel free to shoot me back a response back if you like. Vstar2012

Video Review of a few tunes. Subscribe fore more ^_^, honestly though i really liked that skyline tune o_O. keeping car rest im giving away lol.

RKM Motorsport’s RX-7 R400

MazdaRX-7R400.jpg

MazdaRX-7R400_Big.jpg

Based on: 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R
Obtained: New Car Dealer

Really enjoying this suspension and LSD setup on my RX-7. Mine is tuned to 488hp (not broke in yet), 1066kg, and intended to run from 550-575PP. Out of the box with lower ride height and some alignment tweaks, it seemed to handle great. But it was too difficult to keep it stable. Excellent turn in, but it changed to power oversteer too easily. That was only exaggerated by the different tire behavior online, and just wouldn't do. These suspension and LSD settings fine tuned the FD into a much more stable machine that can hold its own with the best of them. Still capable of oversteer, but it happens when you want it. I don't see anything holding this car back from being one of the best handling street cars available.

In a one lap Nordschleife race with only a 550hp restriction, only a couple of race cars were faster. I believe it finished that lap in 7'07, and without traffic it could probably be in the 6'4x range. Of course that was with Race Softs to be on an even playing field.

any chance you guys will do a tune for a nascar at daytona?

not many people who do nascar races online will talk about there tunes at all, they are very tight lipped about them.
in theory the cars should all be equal but most super fast laps i have seen or heard about have been driving jimmy johnson's car
just for reference a great tune with a fully broken in car with r3 tires and 892 hp should be able to run between 41.550 and 41.8 with no draft and be able to make it a minimum of 25 laps, not at the above times but you should be able to get the times above with the first 8-10 laps starting on lap 3 because it takes that long to get enough speed built up for laps that fast.

i've heard rumors of guys using rain tires for faster times and the ability to make it 50 laps without pitting

but you know how rumors are....
Also how long is the waiting list to get a tune with a review?

Its not that i don't want to do a review for you guys, I will if thats what it takes to get you guys to do this tune, but i know ALOT and i really mean ALOT of people would appreciate the tune of what im asking for above, since there are only 2 tunes i've found for this and one of their threads is titled to find this tune, and to find the other one you have to read through the whole first guy's thread to find the second one.

also i know from reading about this tune that you can't exactly follow normal logic like shown here
UNDERSTEEFlowchart.gif
OVERSTEERFlowchart.gif
with making this tune work correctly. Krautfed is the gtp username of the only nascar at daytona thread and if you look at his tune you would think some of the things in it wouldn't or shouldn't work but it does The reason im asking you guys for this is if anyone can do better than his i know you guys can.....i normally like to use praiano's tunes for MR and FR tunes because we have the same driving style and im pretty sure he uses a ds3 and i haven't gotten a wheel yet im waiting on a good affordable one that will work for ps3 and xbox 360 because im a forza guy as well as gt5....but you guys own him on FF, AWD, and just oddball car tunes so i figured you guys could rise to the challenge and figure this one out.

to be honest with you i haven't tried many of your FR,MR,or,RR tunes but im going to try a bunch this week to see how i like them compared to priano's tunes.
u guys do your tunes if a ds3 or a wheel?
