RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Its fat, ugly, weighty, nooby, overpriced, and my mum's 76' Golf GTI can go round a corner with a flat tyre backwards faster, but thats just my personal opinion and 96 percent of the other people who use RKM.....:ouch:

Integra Type R (Not the RM one) Review
Well i love Vtec! and i tried the Crimson R and really enjoyed its diversity, it also kept a lot of the Vtec in which i was happy about! so seen as you are some of the best Vtec tuners around i thought i'd try its bigger brother!
To The Track
Obviously we are at the Nurburgring! so lets see what it can do, the acceleration was immense, really brutal, but then i was dreading the corner :nervous: i was expecting the understeer of a boat! but no! grip-grip-grip-and a bit more grip, the only time it lost grip was when you gave it the beans when your just straightening the wheel up, but thats the Vtec. long corners are a breeze no understeer just grip, (reminds me of the 3rd anniversary) i also thought the rear would step out under heavy breaking, but nope i was wrong again, just to put your tuning to the test i put the brakes up to 8/8 and the back-end was still in check! it got to 9/9 and and the rear just slightly fishtailed.
Is the Vtec still there?
well, i went to La Sarthe and got to the straight, and i stopped.put it in 4th. and started.1,000rpm,2,000rpm,3,000rpm,4,000rpm,5,000rpm,5,500rpm, Vtec Kicked in y0! the power surged and the MPH actually went up the Vtec Kicked in! Thankyou! , it was this maybe the only car with vtec in GT5! so i tried from 1st gear. no vtec, but all the way to 6th your gear ratios were, (well there is no other way to put this) PERFECT! vtec all the way!
I might try the RM Integra but i'm not keen on them because, once a car has racing stickers on its a race car, it then puts it in a different league, also when im driving it i feel like i have to drive at the limit! and i have to win street cars, sorry but thats the way i feel, its like a weight on my shoulders i dont like it, so i might not be reviewing it sorry :ouch::ouch:
but well done again Roj :sly:

Aaahem. You guys know anything about this..??

what's up with the R35 hate? Seriously, I like the car way better than much cars, and Roj, I understand about being shorter, I can improve that later. Still need to think on the requested car, since I have 400+ cars in the garage and I need to find one that i use the most lol
Because it's ugly and an insult to the GT-R's that came before it.

It's starting to get hard to find cars we haven't tuned now.
I was so excited when I saw Cappuccino tunes here. And I was impressed enough with the tune that I had to write a review. Someone showed me a different tune to try, and didn't even compare to this one. RKMFTW.
I was going to do the EA11R as well so I'd have a full Cappuccino set, but I thought, how am I going to make this different to the EA21R?
Integra Type R (Not the RM one) Review

Thanks for the review! The DC5 is a great handling FF in GT5, one of the best normal FF's for sure. So yeah, it's not too difficult to remove the understeer. You won't feel VTEC in first gear, mostly because of wheelspin, but from second and onwards, it's there as you saw. :D

No worries about the DC5 RM, but just so you know, it's our fastest FF so you're missing a lot. :P

Yeah. That's my Lolvo, I use it to shift furniture and stuff. :D

I'm under a dificult choice between my Lancer EVO VI TM SCP and other 3 cars... I'm starting to complain why so many cars in the game lol

Update on the 458 Italia!

Well, since my review, I've taken the 458, now dubbed the 458 Black Plague (rather than Nighthawk like my other all-black cars) around the Ferrari Seasonal's Sarthe event, and set a new personal best time of 3.46:915 with a small incident and a lot of cheeky drafting. And if I'm honest? Still a very very quick and amazingly stable car, but the lap felt clinical, like the X2010...it just jacks the fun of my 430 Blackhawk, my favoritest Ferrari, or the pure insanity of RKM's 900bhp Enzo GT.

I still don't like it, but for me a 3.45 is pretty damn good...I blame the 7 speed 'box :sly:

Yeah, the Capps all kinda work the same no matter how you have them. So tuning them kinda has to be the same for all of them as well.

Do you guys tune Standard Cars?

I just hate it cuz of the noobs who use them. One guy, came into my friend's room, got on the track in one of these in that stupid TVR purple, started talking trash about how he'd whoop us all with his 800hp 'monster' (I called it a datsun powered by a ruddy huge fan i.e turbo). Guess what happened? 3 laps of the TGTT later, me in my trusty CT230RR crushed him by 5 seconds. That guy and his cheap rice box made me hate the R35 forever.

Well at least you like the tune. That's the important thing.
I believe an RKM E92 M3 is on the way, Roj just took delivery of one :D
Yes I did. Thanks to you. :D

Maybe if I do a tune on comfort softs?

And yeah, we do. It's just we usually tune premiums more because you can get them looking more like tuner cars.

Hi Roj and RJ, just want to point out (if you dont mind) i was digging through random pages of your tuning forum and i found that quite a few people requested drift tunes. Not to brag or anything but i won the "Official D1GP Drift Championship" last year, in a Acura NSX '91 yes it does only have 5 gears but i spent many months perfecting it so it could run with the Silvia's/RX7's which later got banned due to there drifting precision. This year i read through all the regulations again, and found out that the RX7's were allowed in (which didn't bother me) but then it said 4WD allowed...well that was it, i aint gunna drift against some 800bhp+ N00B sorry, no matter how much you change the car it will always be 4WD and plus! i don't want a butt ugly GTR in my rear view mirror do i?
February this year i created a stunt team called "Sunshine Stunts" All the cars were painted in "Passionate Pearl Yeallow (3P)" the cars i chose were Toyota Vitz 1.5RS' i chose these cars because they had 7 gears so we could throw them round easily and get power on in better positions. Every car in my team was painted yellow, like i said, but i let them change the colour of there BBS wheels to their liking so we had diversity.
we had lots of stunts within the routine, which was held on the straight at "Suzuka Circuit" all our team members had different tunes, because we all had different roles. e.g. My Role was The Drifter. at one point at the routine, 2 yaris' from my team would make a gap just wide enough for me to fit through, my job was to handbrake turn before the gap and go through the gap backwards at 100+mph and then get straight again, all while the other part of the team were doing their stunts. Not easy  we also won the "Official Red Bull Stunt Championships" where you win a car under 1 million each! we are entering next year so we want some competition! if you want drift tunes Dont Pester Roj AND RJ because they clearly state they dont do them! just tell me and i can fix up a tune, sorry Roj and RJ i was just a bit annoyed how some people dont read things before they sign up :guilty:

Congrats on the drifting success there. 👍 And yes, feel free to divert a few drift requests over to your place. 👍
Do you think you guys can tune a Lancia Stratos?

Depends on the specs, but yeah for the most part we could do it.

thanks, i just thought you may be a bit annoyed thats all :)
And at CZETA, the Lancia stratos is REALLY over-priced

You never know, you might get one in the Rally Base ticket I send you. Then you'll kill yourself trying to tune it

Also good chance to get the base car from the rally special events. Silver beginner I believe.

So I've finally figured out what to request...

PSN Name: Huskyfluff
Your Car: Toyota MR2 1600 G-Limited Super Charger '86
Sending Your Own Car? Yes
Tuning Request: I'm completely in love with the classic MR2 and here's the best example of one. The car I will send is a 300bhp 910kg monster made for 500pp racing, but I have not altered the stock settings. It's stable enough through corners but I can tell it has real potential to be faster, and braking...well, it tries to kill you if you brake.
Other than that, I'd just like to ask if you can keep the stock gearbox, I prefer the sound without a racing transmission and the ratios are already great :D good luck RKM!

Sure thing. Just PM the request to me or RJ (whoever you want to do the tune for you) so it's in one of our inboxes and not scattered around the thread. 👍
I forgot about the tune for a review deal :0
was my review on page 225 worthy of a tune?

Aha! I have found my Mitsubishi review in this thread! Found your Alpine tune and it was right below it.

In case you're wondering, it's here, and the mystery car has now been released, as the Galant Allroad.

Pffft, you used TCS 1 on that thing, real men don't use TCS :P

I was about to say that, damn you :P

Roj, a PM will be thrown into your mailbox soon. 👍
Well, I needed to end the convo first, cuz I
a) don't feel that well
b) needed to cheer up a heartbroken friend

And why must you always beat me to it on the subject of PMs…?
