RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Managed to completely miss your tune posts :P Good to see another Emperor in the works. I still haven't tried the normal Emperor, mind you :P

And as for the S2k...it is in Tasty Pear Metallic (it's not Lime, it's totally Pear), so you are at least slightly excused on that part. :P

Tuner Comments:
Everyone knows the old Esprit Sport 350... Well, it's now gained a bit of power, lost a bit of weight, and had the chassis done up by us.

The result is a car that runs right with much more recently designed and higher budgeted cars. Enjoy.

Will this set up work well on a maxed out Espirit?

Lancia Delta HF

Emperor Evo VI
With the Lancia, I believe the problem is more the parts choice than the settings. Stock gearbox, a horrid powerband and full weight really don't do any good to the Delta. When/if I make a release version it'll definately fix the flaws you pointed out. 👍

The other Emperor tunes (and RJ's EvoX) are all like this, so yeah have fun with those. :D

I love Lime Green Amuse cars, they just make me go ooft. :D

oh i totally agree with you VtiRoj, your tune was great, very smooth, but the weight and stock tranny killed it for me, that thing could be so much faster.

Any advice on tuning the Espirit guys?

Your tune + lowered ride height + 544hp and 1144kg = 1:47.6 @ Monza. Advice?

EDIT 1:46.1 now

You'll have to wait for RJ to see your post or something. He knows the car more than I do. :dunce:

Edit: Didn't take long.

I'm supposed to be able to give you advice about what's "wrong" with a car using entirely different specs at a track I have no real concept of good or bad lap times at?

Cool.

Cheers guys, I'll keep watching this thread. I'll tell ya that with your tune the car is for sure more stable and able to put the power down a lot quicker. Feels better to drive.

Good to hear that it's at least working decently. If you've gone to grippier tires it may need a bit of tweaking to avoid adding understeer but aside from perhaps an FC gearbox my personal Esprit won't be changing much.

Racing Softs RJ. Also I added a little more camber and took away a little more toe and on my Espirit it made about a 1 second difference (faster). Also I have no turbo's equipped, car specs don't allow it.

Sounds like that's on the right track and roughly what I'd do for race tires... Though I wouldn't go for them in the first place as I find them absolutely hateful on road cars.

Well it is for a racing series this Lotus  And it hits 187mph on Monza straight :D

RJ's Gallardo scared me when I first drove it all those months ago. "How did the Gallardo end up like this? GT5 physics are insane man!"

Yeah but a car no fun if it doesn't even attempt to rip your face off once in a while!

Roj, what do you think of the Gran Turismo Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car (the black one in the premium dealership)? Have you tried it yet? It's my favourite car overall in GT5. And before you start presuming things this is NOT a request. :)

I love how it looks and I have 2 of them in my garage. I've never driven or tuned it though.

Maybe that should be my request then! I love how insanely fast the Spec II premium is...and it looks cooler than the all-carbon X2010 Prototype

Haha you have to have a drive of it my friend. 👍 Recommend to use racing sorts, though. :ill: I usually use racing hards on my race cars but that thing is a beast! By the way I thought I'd like to add that mine has high rpm turbo in.

I'd heartily recommend it too, just max the aero first to get the full effect :D mine's fully tuned too

Why the silence happening in here...

Got homeworks to do but once I'm on the PS3 I'm definitely going for the Evo VI and the GT1 Turbo before anything.

we spent last night bickering for so much that we filled in nearly 3 pages, I think we need a few minutes of cool off. Anyways, you do Roj's stuff, I do 2 or 3 more of RJ's then I'll go to MFT.

Review of tune for the hks CR230 08'.

I make some wrong statements about the wheels, I was actually
"true to the tune."

Keep in mind that this my first review ever of anything.
Improvment potential!

I'm definately liking the voice-over commentary. :D Thanks for the video review! 👍 Did I hear right that you use TCS: 2? On a car like the CT230R you don't even need to use traction control because it has so much grip as it is. That may be why it feels so stiff too, although it's RJ who should be confirming that as he did the tune. :)

As for the request, I do have a tune for that Lexus that I've been using for the DTM seasonals. It's never let me down so far. I'll send the settings to you over PM and see if they work for you. 👍

RKM... is this you?

@son of light: About that video review, I love voice commentaries but you can use a bit more life and be a little more straightforward. It's good that you made it long enough though, heck 11 minutes would be one hell of a video

Faster answer than the HKS!

Thank you so much for the reply. You guys have alot of heart.
Ill check that tune when you send it and maybe do a review for it as well:)

Thank you!
