RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Yay! :D

It's really not half as bad as Onboy claims...

In fact, I handed the keys to Leonidae from MFT and he had the exact opposite problem from Onboy...

Mine isn't quite the same as the one Roj posted pics of, the rear diff is a bit stronger (= more oversteer once the tires let go) and there are some suspension differences but it's not anywhere near as evil as Onboy claims.

 Fine, I'll admit, my first drive in this was at the dead of night after a long day of shouting at cousins and fighting, so that could be why. But it is a bit evil. Then again, I like to exaggerate things sometimes :D

Screw you.

Well, you've got the experience from the start of the GT series (5 games), I've got experience from GTPSP, GT5P, and GT5. Quite a difference in skill and knowledge, don't you think?

Still, how crap can it be offline…
I never played GT5P or GTPSP so actually you've got more experience with recent GT releases. :P

I do have hellaflush rear camber though. Encourages the drifting.

Why don't you ever play prologue games?!!?

Anyways, I'm having another crack at it…Roj, feel free to join in and take the piss out of my driving if you wish…

I'm not interested in them to be honest. I'd rather play other games and wait for the full GT game to come. 👍

Sure.

Just don't come in, laugh at me spinning in circles then blow the lap times away with a 2CV or something -.-

No, I'm saving my bumper for the R35 or Alpine. :sly:

Get Dragonthing to come with you next time, I'll drive the R35, try to run away on the 'Ring, you try to hunt me down. If you make me crash off at over 150mph for 3 times, you win  Or we could just park the R35 in the middle of the tunnel, have a Dodge RAM at one end, a Sliverado at the other and charge down the tunnel at full speed and ramming the sides in on the R35.
:D

Well we've been waiting for a few nights now for you to get online. I end up getting tired and going to bed. I have a 2225kg Audi RS6 if that works. :P

Also I'm in your lobby rearranging your cones. :mischievous:

Well, thing is, I'm on now, and I think I'll be on tomorrow morning (late in the night, for you)

And R35 vs RS6 demolition derby ftw!!! :D

Just need someone to drive the Landrover Rangestormer and the destruction would be complete.:D:tup:👍

So I built RJs C5 , I omitted the chassis reinforcement (not my bag baby) I couldnt get the gearbox to match . Your settings are Final 1 3.420 / 2000 I dont know where the 2000 is supposed to go.

Anyway the cars a pussycat , none of that snap oversteer Onboy mentioned it was very predictable and easy to drive. I was running consistent low 1.20s on Deep Forest and that was before engine break in. A hint of understeer at high speed but that could be the lack of the strut brace. A nice easy to drive muscle car.

Hey, Roj, I have a car that I think you might want to try to tune, and I got it today, that is why I was so silent for the last weeks. (That and work) The car is Lamborghini's Miura P400 Bertone Prototype CN.0706 '67.

I bought a Miura today too but I'm not doing any new tunes until Spec II comes.

Okay, here's how it works: You set the final to 3.420, set top speed and the individual gear ratios, then set the final to 2.000.

Result is nice and narrow spaced gears with 1st being actually useable around low speed corners.

The higher speed understeer isn't something I was able to get entirely rid of without having it become all-speed oversteer. It's a good car, just not NSX/RX-7 level.

I figured that its a tradeoff you have to make . The gearbox thing could be explained better on the tune. Unless it is and I missed it . I understand now so its all good.

RJ, I think I'm getting the hang of it now. I did a 1:31.459, but then tyre wear kicked in and killed the rest of my laps. I do need to be extreeemmely gentle though…

...what tyre wear? It's turned off. :P How else do you think I'm able to tail you in a turbocharged Civic that wheelspins 4th up the hill.

It still wears the tyres out, it just doesn't shear the tyres apart. Anyways, 22 laps straight, I'm bloody worn out. 1:31.459 is the new benchmark for me.

Wait...this on Trial Mountain? Well, at least you've gotten a ton of practice for my testing there  Too bad RJ's car kinda breaks the rules ATM due to its lack of downforce. :sly:

That's a serious problem Onboy, I just ran a 1:34.922 on Trial Mountain (reverse) with my Pocket Monster last night in the new '90s Japanese seasonal. Think I can get it down in the mid to low 1:34s. Only 3 seconds faster with a car that has 2 1/2 times the HP says you really need to up your game:D:lol:

I'm on SS tyres though, so that makes it fair.

Just remember what Loeb said...careful its heavy...erh...no...oh yeah...its faster to drive around most corners than to drift them!:D:lol::gtpflag:

The bootlid is so rusted through, you can't actually attach a wing without the bootlid turning to dust after.

Here's the review:

INTEGRA TYPE R
I decided to try this car of your HUGE list of tuning choices, because I have a special little soft spot for Integra's, being the DC5 what i currently own.
But, about the car. What can I say more than that it's perfect for an FF. Good speed, great handling, astonishing looks, the car has it all! If I remember correctly, the tuning didnt cost that much either, just under 250k (car included), so its great for drivers with small to medium budgets looking for a good car
I tested the car out on a self-made, Toscana tarmac track and the car handled great. Even though I messed up a couple of corners and had a tad bit of understeer, the Type R beat my fully-blown R34 (that I had a perfect run with) by 10 sec! Now that's what I call a good tune.
Overall, the Integra Type R is a great car. It handles well, understeers very little for an FF, it's cheap and it's looks are amazing. Overall I give it a 9.5/10 for the understeer.

And here is the request  :
GTP Name: HenryT
PSN Name: H_enry_T
Your Car: A DC2 Integra (can't remember what year, but it has rectangular headlights)
Sending Your Own Car? Yes
Tuning Request: I need you guys to tune this car to the LotS BETA class rules, so 450PP, max ballast 5% of cars weight, max power limiter 95%, Sport:Softs and a 6 Gear Close transmission. The car has already got Stage 2 Weight Reduction and Stage 1 Engine Tuning (got it like that, it was a gift from a friend), so you are going to have to work with that, if that's okay with you guys.
Link To Review: It's above this request.

Looking forward to the tune!
HenryT
