RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

I drove ur GT 86 tune a minute ago on spa onlne, great little car, apart from it tries to kill me on Ou Rouge. I break to the right speed, turn in and the thing spins round and i smash into the barriers at the top and crush the back of my car at 70-80MPH. Should i go slower round that corner or is the suspension not set up for Ou Rouge?

The GT86 has issues online. When the suspension is compressed to it's maximum (like on Eau Rouge), it just snaps.

Also my GT86 setup wasn't tested online so that probably doesn't help either. I've got an online setup somewhere which I may post at some point. 👍

hi, I'm new to GTP, but I've been using the RKM tunes for a long time and I am very impressed with just about all of the ones I have used, just wondering if I was to do a review, is there any particular car you would like me to review?

I would say any of Dragonthing's tunes, since she needs some more reviews. Give her 1M CSL tune a go, since she originally made that for me.

cool, ill have it done as soon as I can, i'm on break now so i've got plenty of time, btw happy new year everybody

Well…guess who got DLC? :D So I'll do some small reviews of the Golf and the TC cars when I can. :D

 Nope. English. :P And yea…it's good to have a racing buddy who pays for DLC just to race me more. :D
Oh how nice of him. :P
Where's Niko?

He is busy driving away from the cops in a golf cart, but don't worry, he has cheats on his phone. He will survive anything. :sly:

Actually he's standing lifelessy in his Alderney apartment because I've not picked up GTAIV for a couple of months now.

Review: RKM Motorsport's BMW 1M CSL

Initial Thoughts
Took the car straight from the dealer to the TGTT and wow it is tail happy. This car is actually very quick if you can overcome the understeer (when you're not going sideways) but was rather difficult for me as i'm not the best driver and i've only recently started using MT instead of AT. For its price, the stock standard version of this car with CS tyres gets a 12/20 from me.

Best Time (TGTT) - 1.28.429

Parts Installed, No Setup
After giving the car some new shoes and giving it a splash of Australian Racing Green, it was time to turn this little Beemer into a racing machine. I could already tell from my initial laps that this car would benefit greatly from SS tyres, and the new parts cut down the time by nearly 9 seconds, a vast improvement considering the upgrades costed little more than 15 000 Cr to complete. But I wanted more, it was time for the Car to get the RKM treatment. The upgrades listed in the tune earns this version of the car, for it's peace a much more respectable 16/20

Best Time (TGTT) - 1.19.565

RKM Time!
After seeing what a few upgrades could do to improve the lap time so significantly I was exited to see what the RKM tuning would uncover. WHile the lap times did not improve all that significantly but I found myself not working nearly as hard to achieve them. The car was now a lot more user-friendly. T give an idea of what this little car is capable of, it beat a stock Gallardo by nearly 5 seconds around the TGTT. I give this tune a 17/20 for fantastic fun and good lap times at a tiny price.

Best Time (TGTT) - 1.18.179

yes

We have me being a loner in my apartment block with the guys from next door and…from all the blocks around shouting 'HAPPY NEW YEAR' at the top of their voices. Oh, and a lot of fireworks setting the sky alight. :D

And we also have a lot of O/T from us two.

'pologies for the double post, officer, but reviews need their own post.

Golf Turbo R-
Well well, we have quite a car here. A German car tuned in such a German manner. Maddening power for its size but can use it all very efficiently in the corners, easy to drive and stupidly fast and quite a good laugh in the corners. Put it simply, it is a 4WD equivalent to the NSX-R and the RX7, which, in case nobody knows, is bloody high praise.

Part of this car's brilliance is, I think, down to the diff.[/tuner mode] It's not the first time I've driven a car set up like this from RKM, but it is the first time where the car hasn't been turned into a feral lunatic afterward (coughCT230RRcough). It's a setting that allows for this car to rotate, but not overly so like with the CT230RR that I so very much adore. The result seems to be a car that will tuck into a corner (and sometimes even step slightly out of line) when you lift off the throttle but then grip and go when you put the pedal to the metal. In fact…would you mind if I borrowed the diff settings for a bit?

The gearbox is pretty good too, it gives a pretty decent top speed while providing you with some scary quick acceleration. And it's also one of the first few cars from you that doesn't redline from a standing start, I think. Good for a quick and clean getaway for online races.

Overall, this is a very tune that turns this already very unassuming car into quite a sleeper, and I would be more than happy to rank this car up there with the Skylines and high end cars of this garage, if not even the signature tunes, the NSX and RX7.

I might be, just might be, a little in love with this thing. :D

So happy I am not the only one who was blown away by the GolfeR then. And yes, you can borrow the diff settings if you must...I use them a lot when starting off with 4WD cars, I just don't post most of those because they end up as drifters, and I can't post those here...

Edit: Actually, yeah. If you want an R35 suspension tune, ask uMadson if he's got it written down anywhere. I did one for him ages upon ages ago and just guessed at the numbers used on mine... Which works, it's just still not very good to drive. Or someone can send me $50 via PayPal and I'll do a proper tune.

No big deal, the stock suspension works really well as-is so I'll just leave it be.

You were probably away when it happened but we've had much worse than 6 hours of inactivity.

Was that back when the goof patrol was temporally disbanded?

You have the right time period, but the Goof Patrol wasn't disbanded. They decided to "boycott" the thread because C-ZETA lacks the ability to see the line between a joke and an insult. Needless to say he isn't welcome here anymore and you have effectively replaced him, K-RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan.

Days, weeks?

I still don't know where the K-RZA came from.....

I believe Onboy came up with K-ORZA, based on C-ZETA's username. Then I think Onboy knocked the O off as well for whatever reason, which gives you K-RZA. RZA is a member of the Wu-Tang Clan so that's my contribution to your name. :P

Okay, I'm considering changing my username to K-RZA....
