RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Well, that's embarrassing. The 5th was there all the time, right where it should be, and I can now find it without problem. And because of my stupid error, I've bought an '05 and '07 Swift, tuned them both, and made myself look like an idiot on a forum.

Pleased to meet you, I'm loneranger :sly:

Nah, I'm kidding, thanks anyway. Now to test out the tune! And have a go with a few others :)

On another note, which is probably the best tune from an enjoyment to drive point of view? Perhaps Juliet? I'm not sure. Certainly the most fun car (un-tuned) to drive is the Caterham Fireblade. Has anyone considered doing a tuned version of that?

The tune works for both. There isn't much difference between the '05 and '07 models.
Yeah, I've tried the tune on both models and it works fine. 👍

Glad you found 5th in the end. :P Welcome to :gtplanet:!

You'll want to check out RJ's RX-7 R400 and my NSX 3rd Anniversary. Those two are the poster cars of RKM. We've not got a Caterham tune but there's a couple out there that are pretty good. 👍

Pleased to meet you too, I'm Sapphire ^_~

And along with the already suggested cars, I would recommend my Merc SLR LM tune :D I know it's an expensive car to buy and tune, but the setup works well even with fully tuned SLRs with or without the spoiler :sly: something I forgot to mention when I posted it up :dopey:

Y U NO TELL ME?! I had to buy a new SLR when I first reviewed the tune…:grumpy:

And where's the Trans Cammer, SP1, Honda City Turbo? :P

Sorry, never found out until I started kicking butt in my 925bhp SLR...

Both City II Turbos you mean? And they're coming up with the new Impreza sedan when I'm not on a 2 hour train journey :D

Roj's little CR-Z is great fun, Juliet too but you should try out RJ's RX7 like Roj said, but they are all great cars including Sapphire's Fiat, that made me laugh so much :)

Hey dragonthing, is it true that you do make the occasional drag tune? If it is.. And if it's on GTP would you be able to link me to it so I chuck it in with all the other drag tunes :) if you don't however, don't hesitate to contact me when you do :D

I may or may not have considered releasing the Z31 drag tune I have, just for the pure awesomeness of beating a lot of cars in a 570bhp classic Nissan :D

Oi, if you do drag…I haz a Z31 (not drag tuned…yet), it's been too long since I last drag raced, mind if we race the length of SSR7's tunnel? :D

If you do decide to release it, de tune it a wee bit, purely so that you still are competitive haha.. Many a good tuners have given their best to the community only to be beat by their own tune :( but like I said, up to you :)

Don't know about Dragonthing but I always expect others to be faster than me in my tunes...:odd:

Might just be that I do so many of them for shootouts where we've had some near alien drivers...

Talking about drag racing mate… Reaction time is suddenly your best friend when you're racing a car with a very similar tune to yours.

Reaction time, internet connection, tv refresh rate and many other factors that are outside your direct control are crucial when it comes to the elite going against each other unfortunately haha.

Okie doke, I'm tuning the RX7 as we speak. I might even try the Prius tune just for laughs :)

Oh, and I must ask, why are all the tunes I look at set up for sports soft tyres? Why not racing softs? Does that ruin the fun of it or something?

Which is why I hate playing the French at CoD games, because all the wee kiddies have stupidly fast internet connections that mean reaction times don't even make a difference...

^Precisely my view^

But on another note, does anyone else get constantly kicked online when the host is a German? I'm getting that a lot recently.

I get kicked out far too much by Germans on GT5 for no apparent reason...

Oh, I think I have an Evo IX to release too...

Onboy123
I was all :D until I read it was an Evo, then I was like :indiff: and meh. Still, it's a release from you, which is as rare as chicken's teeth.

It's a matte green 500PP SS Evo IX, if that helps? :D I use it for all the seasonals...when they actually give us any :sly:

Haha  It sounds pretty sweet, when do you plan on the unveiling?

And what's with all of the Kia's being called Subaru's? If we follow that reasoning, why aren't the Mitsubishi's called Hyundai's? :)

Aaaaaand... why are the NSX Evolution R and RX-7 R400 both prone to horrific oversteer? Or is it my driving style? Because I do have the tendency to just punch-it-no-matter-what out of apexes, I'm not sure what's causing it, because both cars are undriveable for me. Which is annoying considering I used my favourite Purple and White Pearlescent paint on the NSX :/

It's only the last generation of the Imprezas, because they really look like one!

I think it's your driving style... I usually go "punching" the gas pedal, little by little, to keep the rear stable..

The Prii tunes are our best. :D

Because racing soft tyres on a 400bhp isn't tuning and isn't fun.
Haha  It sounds pretty sweet, when do you plan on the unveiling?

The new Impreza's look like Kia's. Luckily Subaru have fixed this major design flaw with the 2013 Impreza.

Mitsubishi's can't be Hyundai's because Mitsubishi's don't look like Hyundai's and also because Mitsubishi actually shares designs with Proton so if anything Mitsubishi's are Proton's.

It could be your driving style. Are you driving the cars online or offline?

Along with the Eclipse GT I'm still waiting for, the Trans Crammer, the WRX STi, the City Turbo II, the drift XKR etc etc..... :sly:

korza493
But I can drive my own 500BHP Impreza Sportwagan which is much more awesome..... :D

But it's not my Impreza, the only recent car I've actually tuned that I like and want to share right now...all the rest I promised are pretty average crap to be honest

I'll give it a go, but I still want the Eclipse GT tune. :D
