It's the new Impreza Sedan...I wanted something to drive around bone stock, but ended up fiddling around with the sports hards it came on instead. Come the new time trial I figured I'd give it a go on the CS tyres and up the power to see what it could do, and it really surprised me!

Any chance y'all might be able to do a Ferrari F40? I've been wracking my brains on how to make this thing handle properly. No matter what I do to it, it just go ape**** with oversteer or understeer.

HELP!

I've tried and failed with the F40. :indiff:

How hard can it be? The F40 is brilliant to drive stock anyways, maybe just adding a turbo and reducing the weight to the actual F40's weight...also, the car drives at it's best off throttle so..you're driving it wrong?

I have one that is not that bad, but falls short for it's pp class. Fun to drive, good handling, but try and compete in 600pp races you will not have a chance... but A-spec races you will dominant. I like the car :dopey:

This.

People want an F40 that'll compete online against modern cars, not just one that is fun to drive when you drive it in a particular way. :indiff:

It's not like you've really gave a toss for what the online guys want anyways, so who cares? And if so…does that not apply to some of your cars too? I haven't driven a RKM car in ages, so I can't remember which ones are the ones I'm referring to, but there were definitely some which only worked well with a certain style of driving…

And I take it that you're enjoying yourself in ProStreet since you've yet to return to GT5? Is it that much fun, really?

What's not to like about a pimped out chevelle running 7.94 in the quarter using a shot of nitro and an actual starting tree?:D Same car does the half mile in the low 11s at 250mph.👍👍 The fact that it has a really sick paintjob/livery is the real bonus though. just wish it had a photo mode so I could get a couple pics to share.:(

There are a few cars already up with that problem, but said cars aren't as desirable as the F40 and people can accept that they won't be as fast as an S2000. The F40 gets hyped up because it's a Ferrari.

Yes, I've found the fun in ProStreet again. :P It is actually really fun because it's not a serious game. There's a giant inflatable hog just floating above the track.

I use a Chevelle for wheelie competitions. It's so controllable and stays pretty straight for a car that's on it's hind wheels for 1300 ft.

There is a photomode but I'm not sure how it works because it's one of those "upload your image to needforspeed.com!" systems.

Off topic but...
Did I hear Need for Speed Prostreet? I didn't think people still played the game xD
For the drag strip I have my Supra and Camaro both running low 7's, and a Challenger for wheelies ^_^

B…b…but the noise of the turbos spooling up is so cool! :dopey: It sounds like Darth Vader. :dopey: And the cool green dials, and the surge of POWA from 4000rpm, and…and…and the styling!!! Surely it's worth a tune up for dat alone? :D Shame it's so overweight though.

I had the PSP version…liked it, until I found out I had to pay for the crashes. :grumpy:

He right - teh F40 is the best Ferrari to date, alongside the Testa and other classic ones.

Sounds like fun. I'll definitely give it a go tonight. My remote racing has been running all week so if folks are noticing their pockets have more padding lately, that's why. :sly:

The WRX is a bit of a surprising car for me. Onboy and I tuned the same one for the current shootout and I was surprised I could get around Tsukuba faster than in an Evo. Think I tried a 7 and an 8 but the '02 WRX was still faster and easier to drive such. :odd:

*gasp* Roj has failed at something? I have to admit that's a little strange to see. But I've never driven one soooo...

I was a bit disappointed at the selection of Ferrari's in GT5. No 365, no Testarossa, no 308. Where are all the classics? :ouch: Half a billion old Hondas and Toyotas but just one older Ferrari road car. *phbbbbbt*

I've got into playing it again recently and I think it's brought other players out into the open.
Yeah, Roj. Just a novelty tune for the F40, much like what you did to the Mi, err, the Alien A310.
I think I should just point everyone to RVR's F40 in that case. :P

Are you high? The F40 is as light as a feather! They say you can see the weave of the carbon fibre through the paint because they saved a few kilos by not applying too many layers of paint. :P

I've failed many things, I just don't broadcast them to the internet.

B…B…but it weighs 200kg more than the real life one!!!! It's 1100-ish KG vs 1352KG.

the f40 is a premium, that means pd weighed, measured, scaned, took pictures of every detail and kaz flogged it on a track. so its specs in game are of the one they tested. maybe they tested one that was driven alot, so it had road debis in the cracks, rubber and brake dust in the wheel wells and a full tank of gas, maybe even custom modifications like a soundsystem.

edit; or kaz ran it off track into a sand trap before they weighed it judging by the way it handles in game

There is now a red Impreza sedan on share for the 500PP seasonal...if you dare ;)

Sorry Dragon, wasn't able to get near your time with your shared Impreza. :( At best I was about .9 behind your time. Still more than enough for the seasonal.

Then I checked the PP on it. I thought you'd said it was 491 but this one was at 467. I went through the parts and added the ones you've purchased and got it up to 491. Two laps in I hit 59.5 even. :D

Nice tune but definitely slidey in the C3s; I'm sure S1s make it much nicer to drive, especially around a course like London. 👍

I might have missed something, or pulled a few parts back off whilst I was testing >..< either way, good time! :D and I agree the C3s aren't exactly the best for London, even if they did a fantastic job considering my usual experience :dopey:

I'm finding the Impreza awfully understeery for my tastes.

Comfort soft tyres ;) and as far as my usual experience with stock cars on CM and CS tyres goes, it has some quite impressive grip when you least expect it...bear in mine my favorite cruising car is a totally stock R8 V10 on CMs and you see my point :D
