RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Won the first endurance race (60 laps @ Grand Valley) with the beautifully tuned NSX-R!

Not to mention that i won by 8 laps ahead of the 2nd AI and i did have 150BHP or so more than others...
Not suprised. :P Well done for winning with such a huge margin! :D:tup:
Is the aero setup on default numbers?

Unless you have bought a rear wing, the aero can't be adjusted. If you have bought a rear wing, then aero settings are up to you. A rear wing isnt needed for this tune, so technically it has 0/0 downforce.

I was going to use the 787B for the first endurance race but i decided not use it since it might be too fast... but even the NSX is too fast for this

So any news on the GTR SpecV tune?

I make B-Spec do GVS with the 787B. With something more fair it just doesn't look like it'll win. Naturally I'll have a fair tune when I come to A-Spec it. :P

Oh yeah, you didn't remind me so it slipped my mind. You'll have to give me some desired specs since it's a request tune. :P

Sorry, I saw in your tuning sheet for the Civic that you have aero parts under 'parts' but you didn't specify its setting.

PARTS
GT Auto
Rays Volk Racing RE30 Wheels
Type A Front Aero
Type A Rear Aero

It's front and rear aero (as in front splitter + side skirts and a rear diffuser), it's non-adjustable. You only get downforce adjustment if you install a rear wing. Which will be listed as "Rear Wing Type ABC" or so.

I will give you the specifics soon after i buy the SpecV and modded it under 600BHP for this race i am participating on a championship on another forum. :sly:

Once again your tunes never cease to amaze me. I tried your tune for the Civic Type-R 08 and it is a BEAST at Tsukuba! The car stays insanely planted to the road and hugs the corners so hard. Not only was I able to dodge a douche driving the opposite direction twice, but I was able to lap the last two cars on the final turn on the last lap. Absolutely phenominal and thank you so much for sharing your settings with us! :)

Alright. PM me the parts list when you're ready. 👍

I was just as shocked when I was tuning it! "What?! A Civic Turbo that can steer?! My word! :ill:" Glad you found our "Anti-Douche" system useful. You're welcome! :D

RJ, why'd you tune the '03 Atenza that's a standard car and not the new '07 from the dealership?

It's the closest equivalent in the game of my real-life car, an '08 Mazda6. (In the US, we had the 1st gen through the end of '08, the rest of the world got the 2nd gen in '07/8)

Hi,

How come I only get 366BHP out of the Mazda RX-7 Spirit R? I did by and install all the parts on the list? Maybe there's an semi-racing exhaust missing on the list?

Thanx

Decided to make one myself last night, and wow this thing is so fun to drive. I drive a 530i as my real car and it feels like that, just on heavy, HEAVY steroids. I had a little problem with some understeer but it was just how I was driving. This thing sticks to the road no matter what and the braking is just perfect. I launch it in 2nd gear and it just takes off. Thanks for a great tune.

Do you plan on modding any standard models (if you haven't already, I can't remember your entire list off the top of my head)? I'd like to see some tunings with the M3 GTR Race and Street version, maybe even the '98 M Coupe. Or any of the RUFs for that matter. Thanks again.

Got a quick question would the civic type r trubo tune transfer nicely to the integra type r? or should I be looking at the civic vti-r tune?

Just tuned my RX-7, runs awesome now! Thanks!

The Atenza I did is standard, there are a few more in the pipeline as well. It's not as if there's no such thing as a good standard car, so... Thanks for the review by the way. 👍

Hmmm... The VTi-R will probably work better on a DC2 and the CTR-T better on a DC5. That said, it's 100% use at your own risk.

Likely needs to be broken in and have the oil changed. 👍

I already loved this car when it was stock, but after this tune it was...some kind of amazing @_@. I tried it out on trial mountain and SSR5 it practically ate the corners. I guess i may be somewhat easily impressed but i havent driven a car that handled this well in my sad life. Guess i need to check out tunes from here more often because this is a great, enjoyable tune.

Maybe you're missing an oil change? I'll bump your post for RJ to see since he seems to have missed your post.

Thank you! The MX-5's handling was already good, it was just a case of making it handle good when I doubled the horsepower with a supercharger. :D

The VTi-R transfers nicely to other lightweight hatchbacks. The Turbo I've not transferred to anything, but I'd guess that it would transfer to an Integra nicely. Try both settings and see what suits you best. 👍

Thanks! I was amazed that it handled better than stock with a huge turbo too. :D Yeah, we had a problem where it kept eating everything. Including GT Auto employees! :ill: Well keep coming back and you'll drive lots of good handling cars! :D

The NSX is awesome mate! Just tried it in Suzuka and did some of the cleanest laps I've ever done. It was kinda understeery though as I opted out of the aerokits. its sad that they only have one wing, and it looks fugly

I tried that tune you have for the Corvette C6 on my ZR-1 LM and it works a treat....totaly transforms the way it drives for the better...only thing I had to do was change brake bias from 5-9 to 9-5 as I couldn't control the car under heavy braking with the 5-9 setting. Can't wait to try some of your other tunes thanks again for putting up for free :)

Glad you liked it even without any downforce! :D The NSX could do with nicer wings, even the standard NSX has a choice of 3 wings. :(

Roj are you planning on doing another tune for the Acura NSX RM?

I may do one, but the lack of power when maxed puts me off spending so much to RM an NSX. :ouch: I'd have more fun tuning a street tuned NSX to be honest. We'll see though.

RKM Motorsport’s Tuner Correction EvoX

Based on: 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR P.P.
Obtained: New Car Dealer

Drivetrain: AWD
Horsepower: 541 BHP (@218.2 miles)
Torque:---- 447 ft-lb
Weight:---- 1247 kg

Tuner Comments:
So we got this EvoX dropped off by a customer for tuning purposes. We figured the modified settings versus stock were the result of fettling by said customer and thought little of it, same for the clutch-type differentials. Then we noticed the car was being shown in the “customer cars” section of another tuning company's website.

The car was feeling a bit sad for itself when we got it, having lost the only thing that gives an Evo an advantage; the active yaw control rear differential, and running an unoptimized suspension setup. The car was originally set up on the customer supplied soft-compound slicks but we noticed it didn't really need them so we slapped on road-legal soft-compound semi-slicks and finished the tweaks. We were then told we could do whatever we wanted with the appearance of the vehicle, so it got a fresh coat of Ford Oxford White paint and a set of Enkei JS+M wheels sprayed with Alfa Romeo Bianco Spino to call it done.

Let me start by saying I need to wear a condom when I drive this car. Ok all joking aside this car is a beast I loved it when I first bought it but knew it had way more then I was getting out of it. True story I sent this vehicle over to get tuned elsewhere and wasnt thrilled with the results(It was ok but I felt it could have more) I sent to RJ and I am not disappointed. He kept it easy to handle and fast as hell. I did have to set the AYC down a little bit only b/c of the way I drive it was overtaking my turning lol. The car looks feels sounds great and will not disappoint I promise. RJ keep up the awesome work and I will keep you with project cars lol

Hello,

I have seen the tune of the NSX-R, and I wonder if it could work on the NSX GT500 Stealth Edition, I don't know anything about tune, so perhaps it is stupid to think so.

I have tested the Scuderia, and it is amazing how a good tune could change a car, now I am tuning the Z06. I don't know what people like me (without any idea about tuning) would do without your help.

Thanks in advance!!!
