I wish the basic decals in crates were available for three to five car bodies. It's really annoying when you get a skin for a car body you dont have, especially when its another car body you can only get in a crate.

If anyone here wants to add me, I'm on Steam. My Steam ID is the same as my GTP username.

Hint: I suck.
Ill add you when I get home.

And if you dont want your crates.....

Anyone wishing to, is welcome to add me on Steam as well, my ID is "UnexcitingDean". 👍 I'm definitely nothing near "good" either, but I hope to become better. :D

I just finished a match with a "Rookie". The guy played like @AOS- in disguise!

It's one of the first times I've ever played a game against actual live opponents (with good skill no less) and the final tally was 12-0 us. Opposing players kept leaving, only for fresh victims to be loaded in. When the game finished, I left because I was not going to enjoy life if I got matched up against him.

Yeah you do, because Steam says "1241Penguin" doesn't exist. Steam also says "1421Penguin" doesn't exist.

Go to your profile and extract the ID in the url:

example: "steamcommunity/id/aos777"

That's my steam ID in this case. "AOS-" is my alias, because this can constantly be changed.

Most of the crate car bodies aren't really worth much a month or so after the crate is released, so with a bit of looking around you could find a good trade for the cars you want probably. In the end it usually isn't worth it as the cars that are released now don't have any advantage compared to cars already in the game.

Yeah I couldnt find you either.
My mistake. Try: If that doesn't work I'm not sure what will.

Game after game after game I got matched with a Rookie and game after game after game I got the same results.

They really should just pair them with AI bots rather than subjecting other people to them. Had a match go into overtime because myself and my other teammate were doing our best, but it was giving me an ulcer watching the boat anchor motor around doing nothing but chase the ball as slow as he possibly could. Ended up losing, naturally.

EDIT: *Several hours later* Did some striker training, repeated each hit until I was getting multiple successful goals, then went back into matched and destroyed. Granted, about half of the games were played against what were either really, really well scripted bots, or some of the worst players I've ever seen who just don't care. Had maybe 5-6 straight 1000 point games.

I think you can probably get someone who'll want that. Painted bodies usually excite people, so look up what trending prices are in rocketleagueexchange.

Also, great to hear the positive outcome you had after a training session.

edit:

Alt account created: you guys can add id/aos7788 if you want to play with me while being matched up with players closer to your skill level.

edit:

Added most of the recently shared Steam IDs; penguin, snaep, dean.

Met a lovely fellow the other night. He accused me of stealing his goal (he thought that a ball bouncing out of the goal was going in). He was made further upset when our third teammate did (as far as I could tell) steal another shot.

I called him out for his behavior and he proceeded to attempt to intimidate his own teammate by discussing publicly available steam profile information. Then quit.

Do you get paid for goals? What was the issue? We were winning!

/end sarcasm

Seriously though, I hope he realizes how silly he was being.

^ Which reminds me:

PSA: The next time someone asks for your rank if you're smoking them in ranked; don't bother answering.

There are tools people can use to find your in-game ranks. They don't need to know this in order to play; they're more than likely asking to excuse a loss.

If someone calls you out for smurfing: well.... all I have to say is "so what?" Welcome to 2017 meta where half the population of players create new accounts.

It's a shame that this game is plagued with salt, but then again that's true for most popular online games. I don't even play ranked, just unranked. Like, chill. Take your toxicity back to COD or something. This is why I enjoy playing with console players since we can only communicate using the quick-chat.

GTP meet-up next weekend. Who's in?
Time pending, I would be interested. Hopefully my connection holds out long enough.

Also, who is this "BAAAKA" person that added me on Steam? I'm sure it's a GTPer since we have 3 mutual GTP friends.

I should have specified that I was talking the PS4 version :embarrassed:

If only Sony was more cooperative regarding cross platform play with Rocket League.

Well that would explain the "Rookie" I played with who scored six goals in a 12-0 blowout's name. "notasmurf4"

Only last night some friends and i came across a team full of second accounts, When questioned why they were playing rumble on 2nd accounts they answered "We were bored". Ive came across a lot of 2nd's accounts but these were a party of very skilled players on obvious 2nd accounts in rumble....... I have no idea...

Wow! What a save! Whew! Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.

You have not gotten this yet?

That's me, baaaaaka. You can play with me on this account so we don't get matched up with people who'll blow our poop up.

Hurry though @1241Penguin he cant help himself and scores even when he is adamantly trying not to.

Legitimately some of the funniest goals I've seen so far.

EDIT: Decided to do some training and get a few games in this morning. Despite my best efforts my team mates did their best to ensure I lost every one.

As an example, I tied one game up with :40 on the clock and then died inside when my teammates abandoned the goal in the following kickoff to let the opposition respond.

When we get a chance, let's do 3s, but with a random third player. I want to see for myself what's happening between you and random teammates.

But good on you to do some training every day. This is extremely vital if you want to get your mechanics down quicker without making it into a dreadful chore.

Why everyone else on Rocket League Official Reddit seems to be at least gold or above while i'm stuck at Silver gaining a bit or losing a bit. I'm not sure who's the fault for sucking at matches: Me or my team mates?

I don't know why but I always prefer Standard over double or Solo Duel. I feel like I have a far less pressure and more comfortable.

Anyone who plays this game on PS4 or XB1?

My general answer: your team didn't play as well the other team.

Try analyzing your replays.

Remember the game isn't just about you, it's not just about your teammates. It's how you guys formulate a structure, formation, rotation and accommodation for weaknesses that makes your team play well; not just to kick the ball towards their side, but to counter your opposing team's structure, formation, rotation and everything else.

Me and a friend have a pretty good system for doubles but when it comes to standard we can either do really well or flop depending on the third. I normally stay away from playing completely with randoms, just for the lack of communication and understanding of each other's play styles.

A shame that pathetic individuals have to ruin the competitive aspect of the game by creating smurf accounts. But that's online multiplayer for ya...
I think Rocket League is at its best when you have two teams who aren't overly skilled. People who land every hit just aren't fun to play with or against.

Edit: And why the 🤬 is that garbage map (Wasteland) still in the game?
