It's most likely going to be for the Next Generation Console. The current generation is incapable of rendering all of the cities at once. It'll most like be a PC exclusive at first, then it'll be available for the Next Gen Consoles shortly after (about 3-4 months after).

You're talking like it's actually confirmed it's going to happen. It isn't.

How about they have a Time Machine involved in the game to transport to different timelines?

That would completely ruin the point of flying back and forth to cities via airplane.

There's no way it would be this gen systems. Probably not even next gen really to make it that real and that big you are looking at pretty much all those individual game making time in one. Which is like 10years. Gta San andreas was pretty damn big and was so fun flying planes around. Only thing with it is there was a lot of farm land. You could get lost for hours with all the empty mountains or fields between cities. However making that game and changing each city section to something more different from one another. Like one is more city, another is more hood, another is more vice city, etc mixed with today's graphics I think is more possible. Basically all mini cities of the old games in one. Would be pretty awesome.

Personally I really wanna see a true drug lord game. I'm not talking scarface selling dope than buying cars and clothes. I want true thousands of killograms of cocaine to various countries. Having to Dodge police, set up car bombs, live in hideouts, create smart ways to traffic etc would be awesome.

I don't see why, they already said GTA V is going to be bigger than “GTA 4,” “Red Dead Redemption,” and “GTA: San Andreas” and the guy talked about flying between them so they wouldn't need to be all rendered at the same time.

I don't see why they couldn't do old school GTA's with those quick loading screens between islands either.

Remember the real world cities that the fictional areas are modeled on are thousands of miles apart, it's not like you'll be flying from Liberty City to San Andreas in real time anyway, it'd take far too long. Same for Vice City. I would imagine his idea would be you go to the airport, get on a plane and then there would be a loading screen whilst the new island loads.

That'd be alright. I would hope for some drive/fly ability between some cities. Like you could transverse the SA portion like before, but the only way to get to VC is via plane/train ticket.

I usually predict gaming outcomes. The results are pretty good. 👍

You can predict the outcome of game projects with good results from a single article about a vague idea that someone has had? That's....quite a talent.

I hope flying comes back or at least parachutes. Had so much fun jumping out planes and parachuting down. There was this huge moutian with a bike trail on it and I would fly up so I get the parachute than take the bike and ride right off the cliff. You would fall so long than I'd jump off and parachute the rest. Good times.

I remember if you landed just right on the bike you wouldn't die or fall off, lol.

Lol ya you could ride down the whole mountain too but it was funnier to me to jump off and parachute. It was also funny how he could bunny hop over like anything on a bike lol.

Did you use the cheat that CJ can launch even higher on a bmx/mountain bike right :sly:? That is a cool code, I remember putting it in and bunny hopping all over the streets of Los Santos, even crushing people who got in my way when I was doing crazy stunts.

This was actually one of the ideas I presented a long time ago when GTA5 was announced. I thought it would be awesome to fly to San Andreas or Vice City. I actually presented this in one of the "GTA5 area prediction" threads.

I like the idea of going between cities...pretty badass. Imagine it all in GTA5 style. Actually, before they do that, they should revisit GTA and GTA2 and do a 3D (modern style) rendition of the original games. I think a story set in England like the originals would be pretty cool

I've never played the top down versions. I was always turned off by it. But I would like to play them in 3D.

You missed out on some great/fun games. If anything, the top down games had a lot of hilarity to them, i especially liked how the camera would zoom in and out when driving, and the jerky camera would make driving cars, like the Escort cossie and the strange vehicles in GTA Future (weird backwards driving Bubble-car in particular) a hoot to drive.

What i'd really love to see, is a GTA set in 'Rio de Janeiro' (but it will never happen). I actually did loads of personal Fan-art/Concept drawings of characters and cars i'd have in the game, i even went as far as jotting down story-lines/plots, (such was my obsession with the idea).

*Iv'e obviously watched 'City of God', 'City of Men' and 'Bope Elite Squad' too many times.*

I can't believe what I'm hearing! The old 2D GTAs were outrageously funny man , you missed out. GTA1 with the people cursing or screaming when you bump into them or driving on the roads and hearing them yelling at other drivers and the convertibles with the funky music playing when they pass by.

GTA2 with the crazy radio stations, the bonuses, especially the Elvis left the building bonus in the levels... I still play them once in awhile on the PS3.

If they converted it to 3D then I would consider it but I absolutely cannot stand top down views for anything lol. I'm sure I did but I can get them for free off Rockstars site if I decide to get them later on lol

Now it would take some getting used to but I would definately check it out. They were awesome little games

Think it would be fun playing those in 3D haha.

I fully agree! I am just saying IF they did it you would have a greater appreciation for them after playing the top downs. But I would love to see a 3D version from the originals still set in England. Well one was set in England in the 60's I think...that would be awesome

I never liked the top down games, in fact I don't like any top down games.

I would like to see them explore London again though, it'd be like 'The Getaway' only good.
