and eddierotary .... rapid run in the RX7 LM fully modded car mate. Well done ;)

And before i forget again. Here is a replay that i did a while ago. Its basically just a fun hybrid that i made up and had a few laps in. Took an RX7 Rz and threw in a 787B engine modded up to around 800hp with some nice wheels to fill out the gaurds for that circuit racer look.

Its just a bit of fun really. no ini adjustments to DF etc....

Feel free to have a look and import her into your garage for some laps. Would enjoy hearing some thoughts on my semi-realistic privateer circuit racer :cool:

no worries mate. :) . This rotary open day thread seems to go through quite times but is always open to accept new times and rotary rants when the need grabs ya. :D

I'm currently involved in the interboard challenge and another OLR event, so my time at Midfield has been very limited of late. Once my OLR commitments are finished i'll definately be hitting the track in the 787B for a few more attempts at Flinx's ghost (and MrP's ;) ).

Actually, a series that i'm currently in involves me running my 600hp RX7 LM car (oil and T8's only) at Midfield. So i hope to improve on my 1'03.xxx time for that car that i did a fair while ago :rolleyes: .

keep motoring guys.
👍

Back already :mischievous: 58.126 on Rons set up, have got a 57.9 but it's unclean ...

replay tomorrow when I'm in the 57's :P

Heya guys. Glad to see some smoke rising from the Midfield pits, and the sweet sound of rotaries ripping up the track :cool:

I'll be updating the results tonight or tommorrow when i can get a chance to fire up the x-port and download these fabulous replays and also upload my new 600hp RX7 LM time.

Really looking forward to running with your ghosts loaded up. Cheers Bollocks#999, MrP and lotus350 :) .

Just realised that you have taken No1 spot for RX7's Mr P . Blistering run mate :bowdown: . I've downloaded your run and have not yet giving it the once over with mk's to see whats under the bonnet with regard to your awesome settings :cool: .

I'm keen to try out my new 600hp RX7 LM settings on the fully loaded 979hp monster. I've improved considerably over my last 600hp time and will be posting my replay when the OLR event that i'm currently running it in is finsihed. Fingers crossed i can improve on my 979hp time and push you a bit :rolleyes:

Also checked Bollocks#999's replays and was similarly impressed. No doubt i'll be having fun hunting your RX8 mate ;)

All in all, i must say that with the interboard challenge comming to a close and my OLR commitments pretty thin over the next few weeks ..... i'll be looking for a bit of rotary action. Some RX8 (GT3 and GTC) and RX7 LM runs are sure to keep my addiction happy. And the race for a 53 in the 787B has not been forgotten :banghead:

Thanx Keith :cool:

i came up with this set up running at tokyo2 in Kels spotrace and just moved the car to midfield , no change in set up for both courses ;)

..... so i decided to try out the 600hp Rx7 with the same set up again :mischievous: now this car is a nice drive :thumb

here's my best so far with my usual quote ! i can still see 1/2 a sec here if i can hold it together :D

Rx7 600hp 1.02.817 :cool:

i also included the setup file for the 787B.

i looked at these settings and the video on daans site. not sure if the setting was used in the vid, but i do know it's damn tricky to use it. I spin out constantly. no saved run, and frankly, because of how finicky the shark port disc is, i'll probably not upload runs constantly. best i managed was around 1:55.9, but i screwed up, and i'm not sure if it was legal (didn't save the replay). can't seem to corner as fast as flinx does in that video, maybe if i mess with the st bars and the toe?

Without giving away my OLR event time i can say that i'm a smidge ahead of ya in the 600hp model Mr P :) . Don't know how long that will last :P .

And Talentless its good to see you popping in mate. I've always enjoyed loading up other peoples cars and giving them a few laps. You can then usually feel what you like and don't like and can 'hybridise' your own unique settings. Its all part of the fun to tweak and fiddle! Flinx drives so smoothly that his settings may sometimes not suit guys using joypads/DS2's. I find that he is an awesome car tuner.

btw noticed these 2 times from you in your leaderboard :eek: that's close if i ever saw close

1'03.192 - Rypien - RX7 LM - 600hp - GT3
1'03.193 - Rypien - RX7 A-Spec LM - 541hp - GT2
:cool::cool:

anyway i'll be back soon i hope :D

laters man :cool::cool:

but flinx is PAL, right? my location is not serious, i don't live in england, incase you think i do. but, of course, there are the ntsc runs. i'm going to try to look at turbotom's rd9 (boards challenge) run later.

I'm in the high 55's. My hp is 964, but I don't know if that can account for 2 seconds. Probably not.

interesting, i'm under a sec behind flinx at t2, seems i loose 2 through that last portion. i'm about 1.5 to 2 tenths down at t1
