I love this car and I'm starting to like this track some more too..

Must have run a good 15 laps before everything started falling in place.

  Firstly I would like to say a Big thankyou to Mr Persistance for spending his valuable time in coming up with some truely outstanding settings. I pretty much used his settings to the book with exception to stablisers (6 , 6) and gear ratios (I prefer my own way of settings up gearing)

Lastly I would like to say sorry Mr P. cause I smoked your time real good  I am positive a 54.xxx can be achieved if your willing to spend the time trying!

TCS & ASM Off!

My best so far 55.353

Let's get this competition going:cool:

This is with the stock S-garage 787b right? A 55 is damn fast, I might give this a go later.

No this is the fully modded 787B.

A 59.7xx was using the S-Garage one.

OK, I'll give it a go with both, possibly post times 2night, but most likely around 3-3:30 2morrow afternoon.

Man - I'm at 57.411 - although if I could stitch together a 'three bell' lap (ie, I link together all of my best sections) I could probably find a 56.9...

I'm running a fully modded 787B.

I'll have to try your settings.

It's so hard to not go nuts at that left hander into the tunnel.

It's been interesting just how early you need to brake at Midfield - this place really punishes late brakers!

I can't tell you how many laps in a row I've completely blown the tunnel entrance. And of course it's worse with the faster cars. You just have to keep in mind that the road isn't flat, and when you puch the accelerator to the floor, the rear end is going to come whipping around the right side. It's really hard to ease into that one.

I'm going to have to get my modded 787B out there. You guys seem like you're having a really fun time.

I'd also like to pick up an RX-7 LM. What's the quickest place to get one? I missed it on the first time through the game.

Man, you've no idea, especially when you've got half a second up on the ghost.

I'm running with no TC or stability control - I'm thinking a little touch of traction control, as much as that runs against the grain.

I tried moving second gear along to take the sting out of it - that just meant I spun further up the road!

i am having the same trouble as you, a good 1/2 sec up on the ghost and i spin it on that corner every time :( hence my best so far being 57.287 :( hopefully i will peice together a good one soon :)

56.175 is the best I can manage for tonight anyways.

Been getting around the 56.5 mark 4 out of 10 laps with a stiff set up and traction control on 1 but managed that with a lsd of 60~60~60

54.??? is definately possible maybe even a high 53.

and jesus wept! some pretty darn good times and set ups getting posted here, nice one fellas! ;)

I'll be adding the complete drivers list and times in the next couple of days, so keep a look out in my first post because i'll edit them in when i get the time (its a very long list  ).

The 787B seems to be the car of choice, but don't forget the many other rotary engined cars around the place.

vat-man - nice time mate, you seem to be enjoying the 787B. ;)

lotus350 - keep those times comming mate!

GVX - quick as lightening! you da man! :D

wity - fancy seeing you here. :P

mr persistance - congrats on the 55 second run, well done mate. And i see that you have been flying in the arcade beast as well!

and to all of the other drivers interested, good luck and have fun. Don't forget to try some of the other rotaries that GT has on offer and please feel free to share your set ups.

cheers

:)

had a few more laps in the fully moded 787B and the best i can do for now is a 56.802 :( i'll have a go at the other rotaries tonight

Compared to Wity, GVX and mr persistance my times just plain suck!

S garage-1:00.691

787b fully moded-57.859

I could never get my ASM and TCS just right for the fully moded one.

I used my f1 settings on my fully moded one, i forgot to write down mr persistance's settings last night, I hope to improve upon my times.

Well - at least I'm quicker than someone! I made all the mods and whittled it down to 57.412 (BIG reduction of three hundredths - woo hoo :embarrassed: )

So, I tried something else - standard RX-7 Type RZ, oil change only, NO mods (as in stock tyres) - 1'22.875. I'll probably get killed on that as well.

I still think I'm good for a high 56 with the full mod 787B - but mid 55s - only if I find a shortcut!

Now an RZ I've got. I'll take it for a few laps tonight. What about the LM? Can someone tell me the quickest place to win one? I'm 94% complete and never picked one up!

So I guess amateur dream car would be the one of choice ... get to the second to last race and save ... I can do that (:

Thanks for the info!

Just like to say - nice thread, Rypien - this is really fun!

Very distracting from my Formula GT championship!
